After everyone gets out of the vans and goes to the back yard I pull Elyon to the side and kiss him, as I pull back I tell him," I hear a voice in my head. I thought you said that wouldn't happen till my birthday?"
He looks down at me and says," I'm sorry sweetheart I'm not sure what is going on. After the party I promise I will help. If you start feeling uncomfortable or hot for no reason come get me. I will make my way to your parents and let them know what's going on. Go upstairs and put away your cap and gown and take a minute to try to talk to her. If you can hear her she can hear you. I will keep everyone away as long as I can."
I kiss him again then run upstairs. As I am changing I see him go talk to dad then mom. Mom says something and he nods his head, then she comes my way. After a minute she opens my door," Are you okay Honey?"
"To be honest mom I don't know. I heard her in my head. She said mate over and over again. Now I get nothing. Why is this happening now instead of on my birthday? I thought she was supposed to wait till then."
Mom puts her arms around me and holds me for a minute. Then I pull away and say,"Nothing new has happened so I think we should join the party before someone comes looking."
"Don't worry we will say your zipper got stuck again. Remember how when you tried it on it got stuck. We will just say it happened again. So if your ready let's go join the party."
So we head downstairs and sure enough the girls are heading up to see what's taking so long. So mom tells then we were having zipper issues, which they accepted and headed back outside.
I went over to Elyon to let him know I had not luck. He kissed me and said," Don't worry maybe she is just testing the water. You know she is letting you know she is coming. I'm not sure but we will find out."
Then I heard it again, it's like she is running in circles saying mate, mate, mate.
I stiffen in his arms, he goes still and says," You hear her now? But couldn't get her to respond upstairs."
I shake my head yes and lean into him more. Mom is watching me and comes over," Are you okay Honey? Elyon I had a thought, maybe her true birthday is not so far away. You see the doctors that checked her out gave us her birthday so we believed it. What if that's not her birthday?"
"You might be on to something. Let me do some checking. Give me your mother's letter, as the Prince I can dig far deeper than you. And maybe we can get some real answers about you."
"I think that would be a good idea, we will get it after the party. Can't have the guest of honor running off to much."
"You make a very good point. For now let's go have fun."
We all agree, them mom goes to tell dad what's going on and we go join the other kids. The chocolate fountain has a huge gathering so we go to the ice cream machine. I got rocky road with gummy bears and sprinkles. Elyon got vanilla with chocolate chips mixed in. Then we went to the balloon pop game. Elyon won me a teddy bear. Then we went the bean bag throw game. I did way better than he did so I gave him the Wolf I won. Then we went for some food. We filled out plates and sat with mom and dad. While we were eating they announced the band. Everyone got so excited we all forgot about our food and gathered around the band.
It was awesome, they played for the next two hours. We danced and sang along over all it was a great night.
At nine p.m. everyone's parents started showing up to pick the kids up. Dad took the girls and their boyfriend's home. Then me, mom, and Elyon went inside while the catering company cleaned up. I ran upstairs to get my mother's letter. When I came back downstairs I gave it to him. Then we sat and talked until Elyon's phone rang. He took one look at it and said,"I'm sorry I have to go. I will talk to you tomorrow. I love you."
Then he kissed me and headed out the door. As he was going we could hear him say," No father everything is right on track. I am waiting for the king to draw up the papers now." Then the door closes.I look at mom and we both start laughing. "Well I guess princes really do have to work all the time." Mom says as she laughs even more.
I decided to go to bed shortly after that.
