"Why do I feel like I'm missing something...?" Ray muttered as he looked around
There were vests, guns, knives, backpacks, grenades, anything which would be both dangerous and useful, however ray couldn't get rid of the feeling that he was forgetting something very important
"Ah, that's right... ammunition."
They had already gotten some spare packs, but ray was too cautious
"I'll get just a few more spare packs... Just in case..."
Ray ended up getting all the remaining packs for the handguns. There were 11 packs in total. The ammunition he got was 9mm Parabellum/Luger which was what was commonly used, and the most optimal one for the handguns he and his sister had
"If only we had a suppressor..." He muttered
The hand gun they had picked was the Glock G19, it was the most common to encounter out of all the ones the garage had in stock, and the ammunition it used, was also rather common for handguns or at least that's what Ray believed.
Unfortunately, There wasn't any suppressors, which was surprising to both Ray and Tina as their dad literally had an AK-47 and explosives in the garage
As he was trying to understand what went on through his dad's mind, he heard it.
*Beep*
"?"
Ray looked around but couldn't see anything
[Did I imagine it?]
Ray focused on his hearing, but heard nothing, with no luck he deemed it off as something which he might have imagined, but that was when he heard it again
*Beep*
He then turned his head over to the table which was empty, underneath it was a red-light flickering on and off
Curious to see what it was, he went under the table and grabbed it. It was some sort of player, there was a triangle which seemed to be the button to play it.
"I'll keep it just in case..." Ray muttered
Ray then gave the room another check, to see if he was missing anything else, but he couldn't find anything else he might need.
"What a waste..." He muttered right before leaving as he looked at the guns
After that he left the room and closed the door, as he walked through the corridor towards the living room, he noticed that the TV was on, although the volume was low
It was on the news channel, before checking what was displayed, he went over to the kitchen to check on his sister
In the kitchen, on top of the table, there were two split equal rations of food supplies along with water to drink. It was mainly canned beans, but there were also a few fruits and bread.
"Is this all we have...?" Ray asked a little disappointed
Not at his sister but himself for not buying more food earlier
"Unfortunately" Tina replied
"How long will this last us?" Ray asked as he opened his bag to put in his ratio
"2 Weeks at best... If we ration it properly."
She was looking through the kitchen curtains checking for something
"What's wrong?"
"I heard a sound come from outside..."
Ray who heard her, quickly grabbed on to the remote on top of the table and muted the TV, he then quietly walked up to the window, as he stared through the curtains he said the words in his head
[Analyse other side of the wall]
Ray was relieved that it didn't fail, but at the same time, tense of what the result would turn up
It took around 20 seconds for the analysis to be completed
At first, nothing happened, but then an aura shaped of a humanoid figure, passed by a fast speed and left the radius of his skill, however ray didn't get the notification which would usually say that a threat was detected.
"What was that...? A human...? But can a person move that fast?" Ray asked
"Ray, I've been meaning to ask, but what's that thing you've been doing? It happened at the kitchen too, you were able to see that invisible monster... Is it your skill?" Tina asked
"Yeah, that's right it's my-"
Only after saying all of that, that ray noticed
"Sister, you know about skills?"
"Of course I do, I mean you saw me use it earlier"
"So that materialise thing was your skill, huh... I was expecting you to look more surprised or freaked out, but you're rather calm..."
"You're the last person that should be saying that..."
"Pff"
We gave off a small chuckle at each other
"Well if you understand, then that saves me time on explaining, your skill is materialise right?" Ray asked
"... It's not fun if you guess it correctly on the first try"
"You're the one who said it loud enough for me to hear it before"
"Fair point"
"My skill is analyze, knowing you, you probably understand as much about the interface as me, so there's nothing for me to explain"
"I mean I have always been better at rpg games... But there is something you could explain, why the hell did we get a game system interface? What are these skills? Where did they come from?" Tina asked
"I told you, I know just about as much as this as you, skills are seemingly abilities which we got, and judging by how we got different ones, it might be specific to individuals, also there are probably conditions to getting them. As for where they came from... That's the same as asking me where the monsters which are raining down from the sky are coming from" Ray replied
"... You're right.. Since you were so confident earlier, I thought you might know something... I don't even know what to think anymore." Said Tina as she stared at something
Ray couldn't see what it was, but he assumed that she was looking at her status screen.
"Yeah... But at least you didn't freak out." Said Ray
"Something on this level isn't enough to do that."
