We had made our way into a room on the fourth floor. When we entered there was a huge marbled rounded table, were the ones who were there turned their heads to face us as we made our way in. It was all of the student council members.
"Well, well, well. It's Mr.Nobody, I didn't expect him to participate in student council activities."
The one who affirmed was none other than Tannon, the devil.
"My name is Kouki Tachi, not 'Mr.Nobody'."
Kouki rebutted at his remark.
"We should actually begin to discuss about important matters and not dwell."
Miyuki was the one that intervened before things could escalate.
Everyone was present now, and since everyone had already sat down the meeting would now begin. Kouki had been wondering why everyone else looked serious. Miyuki spoke once again.
"Recently, we've been getting reports of lifeless bodies found all around towns near the borders. One of the survivors of the towns claimed that the Avalons attacked."
Kouki took notice of how everyone looked agitated once they heard the name.
"The Avalalons?" Kouki asked not knowing who they were.
"They're an evil organization that still hasn't revealed what their motive is. Their leader, Nyssa, is someone you shouldn't really be messing with, or any of its members for a fact."
Ophelia who was sitting across from Kouki and Adiel has responded to his question.
"Quick question, why are we talking about something related to outside the Academy? Isn't that none of our concern?" Kouki didn't really understand why.
"We may be the student council Kouki..."
"But we do things differently here."
The elf twins spoke.
"We are all capable students in the academy that also interfere with malicious intent from the outside. Think of it as a special group that protects the nation itself and doesn't just focus of curricular activities in the Academy. A task force that enforces law." The dark elf Nytha informed Kouki about this.
"I see."
Miyuki kept informing the rest of the situation at hand.
"The survivor also said that he saw them use a strange device. That device seemed to have taken the souls of the villagers. We aren't sure what they're up to but we cannot let this idly go by."
"So what do you propose we do?"
Adiel had asked. Even as the leader she knew how Miyuki was the smartest of the bunch and had massive insights on everything. Politcal power, influence, knowledge and even the economy. She was indeed a true perfectionist in everything. Which is why she had always let Miyuki voice her thoughts in the meetings instead of herself.
"Well, to be honest I don't know what to do this time. We don't know their hideout, we don't know when they'll next strike or even what they'll do next. I've already taken my hand to place members of my team all around the border near the towns to see if they can find anything and get back to me."
"I guess we really don't have a choice and that's what concerns me." Adiel had a thoughtful expression wondering how this could escalate if not done right.
"Well, enough of that for now. Aura, would you care to talk about the next events for the Academy now?"
Miyuki shot her look at Aura who was quietly listening to everything. The monotone Ex-machina slightly nodded her head and began to talk.
"I assume everyone knows about the upcoming tournament correct? The classes will be competing against each other. As per usual the event will be held at the stadium in the middle of the city. Kouki Tachi, since you're new I will inform you that this is a massive event that takes place every year for academy students. Everyone will attend, and I mean everyone. Which means, the big houses for the different races will be present as well."
"We'd have to tighten security more than usual this time." Matax added after she finished talking.
"With that, this meeting is now over. I'll inform at a later date when the next one will be."
Miyuki rose from her seat and began heading out the room. Everyone else began to follow suit.
Kouki and Adiel got up at the same time. She turned to face him and spoke.
"Kouki, come with me. We're going to the training grounds here in the academy."
"Huh? what for?"
"You really are an idiot, to train you IDIOT. I'll train you myself."
Kouki was shocked to see that Adiel was being a bit more nice today. Especially teaching him in the first place.
"Uh sure, I guess that would be fine."

The roof was covered in glass, looked like a dome of sorts and pillars supported the building on the corners.
(Looks like one of those places they use for the butterfly exhibit at museums.)
(What's an exhibit master?)
(Oh its like a section for a certain showcase of something. Seeing how you know what museums are are there some here?)
(Yes indeed.)
"Hey focus!"
Adiel had punched him in the thigh so he would focus on her.
"Ow that hurt!"
"Hmph none of my concern"
She said as she looked away.
"Go to the other end. I'll be on this side. I will be casting some small spells this time so don't worry about me killing you. Just focus on dodging them for now."
"Trying to make me build stamina ey? Well I guess I really wasnt that much athletic before so I guess this could help."
Kouki walked to the opposite end of the field. Adiel looked at him to make sure he was ready. Like before she raised her arm and opened her hand, though she didn't use an incantation this time. She made her hand into a snap position and closed the rest of the fingers. At the tip a white and yellow light sizzled. It looked like lightening.
"Ready?"
"Ready."
She quickly snapped her fingers and made the index finger face towards my direction as the spell rapidly shot past me. It felt like a bolt of lightning passed beside me.
"Hey I thought you were gonna do some simple spells!"
"They are simple ones dummy! You gotta remember im the strongest so my magic attacks aren't gonna be weak."
"Geez this is gonna be troublesome..."
(Hang in there Master!)
