All of the people inside the kitchen had turned their heads into Abigail's side, who had just entered the kitchen. There was a playful smile on the child's lips as her eyes looked at them all.
"Where are you going to get those spices, Abigail?" Loreen asked with a curious tone lingering in her voice.
"There are plant leaves on the outside that when you crushed, it can give flavor to the food," Abigail answered, pointing to the tree that was standing far back at the right side.
"Wow! Did you read that in the book too, Abi?"
Abigail nodded as an answer. The women felt elated at what Abigail had told them. This was what they have had trouble with since yesterday.
"Very good, Abigail! Patrick, go join her to collect the leaves outside," Loreen ordered.
Patrick nodded and stood up. He motioned for Julius to come with them. They were carrying the spear-like weapon they had made the day before. They left the house and re-entered the forest.
