Adrianne made sure that she will spend her remaining time wisely. She chooses to stay on the bed and lay down there until the time runs out. The feeling of the soft bed against her back was so refreshing.
At least, even just for a day, she had a comfortable sleep. She's not saying that Russel's house was not comfortable and hard to sleep with. Rather, she's implying that she's not used to sleeping on a hard bed.
She looked over to the clock near her bed. She still has roughly 30 minutes before the maid will come to her room again. Adrianne looked around as she slowly stood up. Her feet wandered around the room.
She carefully inspected the windows. Adrianne found out the glass was easy to break. Slowly nodding her head, she concluded that this will easily break with just a small force.
