A child, that's what Adrianne can see in front of the mirror. With round eyes that were surrounded by long lashes, a pointed nose, and rosy lips, and Her hair was black, reaching her waist. She's wearing a white dress that looked like the color of her skin.
Who would have thought that a 100-year-old lady like her was inside the body of a ten-year-old kid?
Adrianne bitterly smiled.
She was taking back her words already. The adoration and the amusement that she was feeling earlier disappeared. This world was not for her, she clearly knew that. Her powers suddenly disappeared.
She thought that she would quickly regain the power that she had lost even though she was in a different body already. But how could she have the energy to do so, if this world had no traces of magic?
Moreover, their house was very far from the forest. Then how can she possibly find the ingredients for the poison that she wants to make?
Now, she needed to find another way. She needed to see the moon every night. But the process will be a lot slower and harder and it was not like she could get that much energy.
She's getting frustrated as time passes. Adrianne thought that it would be easy. After all, in this new world, everything seems to be easier. With technologies, guiding them, who would think that living in this world was harder compared to Quirenne?
Adrianne took a few steps while going out of her room. She went into the veranda that was located on the second floor of the house. In this way she could get a little bit of energy, she just needed to be patient.
But when her eyes went up to the sky, she got dismayed. Why did this place need to have a lot of high buildings? She couldn't even properly see the moon!
She looked in another direction, looking for another angle where she could clearly see the moon. Without a choice, she went back inside and looked for the door on the way to the house's attic.
Abigail, the owner of the body, hadn't tried going up in it yet. That was why it was Adrianne's first time to do it as well. A small window caught her attention. She was thankful that her body was small, as she easily passed through the window
Smiling widely, she took a light jump arriving at the roof of their house. There, she saw the moon. The moon in eternal stoic grace took its place in the heavens, content to ever-reflect the light of the sun, giving the slight satisfaction for the energy she was getting.
Closing her eyes, she sat on the edge of the roof. The chirping birds in the middle of the night made her calm. Nothing was bothering her. Just her and the moon.
If one could see what Adrianne was doing, then that person would be surely shocked and scared. A young girl sitting on the rooftop of their two-story house was definitely one of the questions that would flash on their mind.

"Good morning, Daddy!" Abigail happily greeted his father as they both waited for the food to be served.
Mike heartily laughed and hugged her body. "How are you, my sweetie?" He asked, sweetly.
"Hmm, I'm good Daddy! I saw fairies in my dream last night." While chuckling, Abigail leaned over to Mike's cheeks and kissed it lightly.
"Good morning, Auntie!" Abigail greeted Eva with a jolly voice.
Smirking inside, Eva greeted her back smiling. Walking closer to Mike's direction who was holding her in both of his arms.
Eva rolled her eyes at Abigail, making sure that Mike wouldn't see it. It was still early in the morning and the bitch of a child was already getting her husband's attention.
"What is this?" Eva asked Jasmine— their maid. Her brows furrowed, pointing at the tall glass beside her plate.
With the sudden question asked to Jasmine, she stopped what she's doing, placing the food on the table.
"It's apple juice, Auntie!" Abigail excitedly answered while eating a piece of buttered bread. "Miss Jasmine helped me by doing that!"
"Is that true, sweetie? Then why didn't you make daddy one?" Mike asked, pouting.
Abigail placed her hands on her mouth and giggled. "Daddy, I know you like coffee better in the morning." She said playfully.
"Hmm, then you should make daddy one tomorrow, okay?"
"I'll think of it, Daddy." With a sweet smile on Abigail's face, she glanced over Eva's direction. "Auntie, drink that. I made it with love."
Eva was frozen into place. She was shocked to know how Abigail can be this jolly after drinking the milk. Was the poison too little that it didn't affect the child in the first place? It seemed like she needed to increase the amount later and in future days.
Containing her emotions, Eva smiled, taking a sip on the glass. She can't help but to finish the drink quickly. It was too good to be true. The best one she had tasted so far. And even though it was already gone, she wants to taste and drink it again.
"Darling, I'm glad you like it." Mike happily uttered. He knows that his wife is sensitive and picky, especially that she was pregnant. There were only a few foods that her wife wanted to eat.
"Abigail, is there more?" Eva asked Abigail.
"There's nothing left, Auntie. I only made one because I don't want you to overdrink or it might affect the baby," She softly said.
An unknown emotion quickly flashed through her eyes. Her smile grew wider.
Finally, it started.
