Long minutes passed where she couldn't do anything because of the blinding headache. She simply lay on the cool stone floors hoping that Dain didn't find her. He'd appeared in his Demon form in front of her before. He'd scared her then too.
Eventually, the pain subsided, and she could move again. Sky knew she should eat but couldn't bring herself to do it. Instead, she went to the classroom. She barely made it inside the room before the crystals chimed.
Sky's eyes fell to the arrangement she shared with Dain. He was not there. Nola was in her usual spot in the purple armchair and in front of Sky's spot on the sofa was a to-go meal. Sky frowned at it as she walked over to her seat.
Smiling tentatively at Nola, Sky said, "Thank you for bringing me that."
"I didn't bring you that." Nola whispered blinking her shimmering violet eyes at Sky. Frowning at the box again, Sky sat.
"Did Dain bring it?" She asked.
