Sky slapped her palm on the door again without results. Swearing, she stomped in a circle, trying to think what to do. Then she remembered the portal spell. She smacked herself on the forehead for her stupidity and cried out as she hit her new, growing welt.
When she could see again, she panted, "Agogaisviralde." The portal appeared before her and she stepped through.
The overwhelming scent of blood and raw meat filled her nose and mouth. Sky's stomach lurched at the sight before her. Lysette was lying bruised, bloodied, and broken half on one of the loveseats. The bodies of injured males lay scattered around the room in pools of sticky looking blood. She saw her classmate Dathius and immediately got sick. Seeing him killed like this, she instantly regretted not killing him in the student government room.
