Mo Yinan lives in a gated community, one of those really fancy ones where you need a keycard just to get inside. They pull into the underground parking lot and Mo Yinan takes Liu Lianyu up to the sixth floor.
It's rather quiet, eerily so, as though no one else lives in the entire complex and it's just the two of them. The halls are empty and the elevator only stops for the two of them. A row of lights greet them on their intended floor, prompted by the sound of their presence. Liu Lianyu can't tell if it's anxiety or anticipation that has him on edge but he has too much energy and it's much too quiet.
Liu Lianyu doesn't see much of Mo Yinan's apartment. When he's let inside he reaches for the alpha's arm before the lights get a chance of being flicked on.
