What's this? This didn't exist during my first life. I can understand what most of these things are, but what's Grade?

The Goblin God was now straight in front of me. He lifted his bat above his head, with surprising speed for such a colossal figure, and slashed down. I managed to dodge it, but one of the spikes cut deep into my left cheek. I pulled my head away from the spike, but the Gobin God hand was directly above my head now. I didn't have time to escape. The palm of his hand came into contact with the top of my head. This was the end.
'Mortal! I will spare your life if you become my disciple.'
His hand stopped.
'No.' I replied before dashing to the left.
'Foolish human. If you don't become my disciple, I will unleash my skill.'
Skill?
'I'm not becoming your 'disciple'.'
The reason I didn't want to become his disciple is simple. Disciples of Gods are Contracted Slaves. They have to follow a contract that gives them no benefit but gives all their power to the God they are contracted to. They also have to follow orders and will die otherwise. I'd rather retain my freedom.
The Gobin God smiled. 'Last words?'
I remained silent.
'Very well.'
The Goblin God inhaled and exhaled. But what came out of his mouth wasn't mana -There isn't any oxygen in places like Dungeons or the Tower. The inhabitants breathe mana instead - it was a gas.
