Chapter 33 - The Hunter

The Heavenly Domain had turned into a gruesome battlefield. It was so intense that I couldn't even describe it. I wondered what level Kim was by now. With the Reaper progression rate, he would probably be around level 500. Where was he? I looked around before I spotted him. What he was doing made my jaw hit the ground. He was one-shotting Hellish Creatures. One-shotting. I hadn't even managed that in the Tower. Now I really wanted to know his level. I didn't have time to ponder what his level could be though, because the Interface System had an announcement to give me.

[The Level 300 Hunter, Yui Hichikara has arrived.] The Interface System stated.

And sure enough, Yui appeared in front of me.

She was a level 300 Hunter equipped with two, powerful legendary-grade, golden revolvers (that had a 1 in 3 chance every time of one-shotting any mobs for each reload. Her Class Skill, 'Gunslinger', gives her a temporary speed boost for 30 seconds, as well as temporary invisibility, enchant. Her guns are 'one of a kind' because they have an infinite amount of ammo that is spawned by an unknown mechanic within the rare weapons. Her physical appearance consisted of her dark navy hair, aquamarine eyes, and her pearly white skin.

Her level was so high; it was higher than mine when I had been training for 6 months.

[This Innate Skill will only temporarily be with you.]

I didn't even ponder this. I looked straight at Kim while thinking about the Skill.

[Name: Kim Jong-woo

Class: Reaper

Stats: Strength LVL 20, Health LVL 20, Agility LVL 20, Mana LVL 25

Alias: Strongest Player Of All Time

Grade: Mythical]

His stats were too good to be true. It was like he was the main character in a power fantasy novel. His Mana stat was extremely high. From the video games I had played as a teenager, I could understand that his Stats were really high. Compared to my stats where I was still fairly strong with no stat increase, his power would be unimaginable. But how was I able to block his attack in that battle? Was he holding back?

'Hey, Kento.' Yui said, cutting off my thoughts.

'You know my name?' I asked, taken aback.

'I remember it from the Tower. I remember the Tutorial and the First Floor and the Hundredth Floor.' That confirmed the question that had been lingering in the back of my mind for the past 6 months. I was the only one who knew what the full future was. The future felt like the past to me.
