Kim had already been Awakened like me, this made things a lot easier. He could easily progress now. In a single day, he could reach level 100. That's the true potential of a Reaper. Kim told me he wanted to learn an attack skill. It would be hard to learn skills at his current level, which was 0.
His basic move was called Reaper Slash. At level 40, this move could be upgraded to Oblivion Reap. This move is overpowered because it scales in damage by a lot when used by Reapers over the level of 1000 and also because of its early accessibility at level 40 plus the fact that you also unlock the Interface System at this level makes the cooldown way shorter. This attack is great for close range and it's able to wipe out mobs very efficiently. The Reaper Class has an unusual boost in leveling meaning that 1 hour of meditation can level you up 20 times.
To get Kim to level up faster, we went on a training expedition. This is a way of grinding for EXP from mobs (specifically mana beasts that we hadn't killed already in our situation) to learn abilities in a shorter amount of time. We grinded for about an hour and a half before he reached level 40. Immediately, his power levels had risen so much that he gained more power than when Nakatami had completed his awakening process. Kim had also learned another ability called Shadow Sneak. It makes you go invisible for 10, the time increases the higher your level is. This ability is good for tactical repositioning in battle and stealth kills.
'This one's only a Tier 4, should be easy!' Kim shouted.
He had learned about Mana Beasts quickly.
'Yeah, that's true.' I muttered.
It took me around 4 days to learn about them. But this guy had caught on so quickly. He must have seen the strands of mana or he's just that smart.
He had just been using the basic skills to defeat these powerful Beasts. How strong could a Reaper be?
'I killed it!' Kim announced happily.
I was intrigued. Killing this meant he was going to reach level 40. And unlock the Interface System. He had learnt mana usage so quickly. With the Interface System, his mana levels would be higher. He would be so powerful. Strongest than me and Nakatami. Wait, Nakatami! Where was he? He had come to Kim's with me, so where was he now?
'Where's Nakatami?' I asked Kim.
Kim blinked.
'The guy you brought with you? I don't know. We must have left him.'
'But the portal spell brought everyone within close range into the portal.'
Kim's eyes widened.
And as he told me something I didn't know, the same thing happened to me.
