When Elihim got home, he sent letters to Merim and Hresha respectively. Drake and Jake were no longer ordinary pigeons so that fierce were like a deterrent to them but ultimately, harmless.
Once Merim and Hresha received the letters, they felt a cold chill.
"This... is just part of the miscalculation...?"
Except for the Emeralkan Academy which the Imagis have protected, the city was in ruins. A stronger Storm was on its way and the two of them were told to spread the 'faith' much faster than expected as Elihim himself will help them with the recovery.
"All Pups will help with manual labor, Reformers assist professionals around the city, Spirits will recover the destroyed environment to lessen the damage it will have over time to the surroundings, and all Elites!"
Headmaster Hilbert called and has thought for a while about what job they should do. There's a lot of things to do but there are only eight of them. He had to efficiently move them out while not taxing them too much.
After a long thought, he had placed them in their own fields of profession since that's where they will be the most helpful. Merim helped repair buildings while Hresha was back to enforcing all things steel.
Merim and Hresha will have to help the community of people inside Hramm City. This will further increase the influence and reputation of the academy. However, they have another matter to solve.
Merim was at the border of the city. He was helping with recovering the stone walls. He's an Earth Imagi. He just needs to rest, eat, and sleep before becoming like a machine.
"Reverend Imagi!" a guard captain has reported with the blueprint of the walls. It was like a map of how big and wide it covers, "These are the places which the walls have been most damaged."
Merim looked and saw all the red-colored parts of the walls were damaged.
"The west part of the wall has been thoroughly razed?"
He asked but he didn't need an answer. The guard captain could only cast his head down. His eyes glanced at the common people grieving for their loss, children that have now become orphans, and families who have lost homes. There was a very heavy mood.
Normally, an Imagi was like a celebrity, now, their images were subjective.
Where were you when that monstrous wind came and destroyed everything!?
...
Please, fix our homes, Venerable Imagi.
...
Help us, I beg of you.
...
Some looked at him with hope and some with malice depending on what they've experienced. That's just the nature of humans. If the guards didn't block their paths, a lot of people would've been crying on Merim's feet already, asking him to help them.
"Stay back! The Reverend Imagi will have a more important task. These walls will not be fixed if you want to prioritize rebuilding your homes!"
"But how can we protect our possessions from thieves!?"
"How can we protect ourselves from the cold?"
"Our stack of food will spoil the next moment and we will all turn hungry!"
Each family has its own problems. To this, Merim has finally turned their face to them and answered their calls.
"Citizens of Hramm!"
He shouted and everyone stopped to listen to the Reverend Imagi. Many looked at Imagi with respect, some with envy, and the few rest with doubt. They are not just wording it out. In other words, unless he shows his real power, he wouldn't be able to gain their full respect. This is the border, after all. The people here don't see Imagi that much. They are far from the middle which almost all the nobles reside.
They have only heard of the Imagi's capabilities and this time, Merim will show them.
"This is the reason this punishment has been given to you all."
Since he have everyone's attention, there was no longer the need to shout. But as he speak, the wall behind him began rebuilding itself. Merim has studied the structures of these walls many times. Not only that, but he has a lot of experience in building them since he's the only Earth Imagi among the Elites.
Finally, he has been learning from Elihim... although he was far from him, Merim's skills were already a world apart from the past him.
Even the guards and the captain guard looked back after hearing something clattering behind. As fragments of the walls reattached themselves, they would meld into one piece. It was such an unbelievable sight for people who have yet to see Imagis.
For them, this was like the work of God.
Merim's words have received weight in the people's ears. Seeing them dazed, he repeated what he said.
"That disaster is a punishment for you fools!"
He sharply shouted, waking up everyone from their awe.
Punishment? Fools? Isn't this just a calamity?
"Did you think this is a work of nature? No, this is the work of our one and only God, Serux Herominum!"
Now that they are fully hooked, Merim struck while the iron's hot.
"This is a punishment for you all have been worshipping false idols. We, Imagis, are not that different from you, people. We are not Gods or heavenly beings yet you project your faith onto us. Now, as the messenger of our God, Serux Herminum, I command you all to repent and change!"
Merim emphasized Elihim's previous name for it to be stuck within the people's heads.
Serux Herominum.
He then continued to tell them that they should be careful from now on. Merim has become like Elihim's prophet. He foretold about the future where a greater calamity will fall. At that moment, they should all put all their trust and self in the living God, Serux Herominum and he will protect them.
It was more effective than he expected. Since it came from an Imagi's mouth, whose pride is said to be enormous, the people believed that there is really a God.
After all, that wind is by no means logical.
On the other side as well, Hresha did the same. However, they told the people not to make it public. Only pray in their own houses and not tell the others. They explained that there are heretics that are against the living God and they are one of the reasons why such punishment have been brought to Reland.
Merim and Hresha only told them because they 'trust' them. If they were ever to disobey, another punishment will come.
