Chapter 33 - Before the Match Starts (3)

On the stage, there is a large television. The television shows the respective line-ups of the two teams, Club Bengawan and Club Meralco. And at that moment, I was surprised to see him from behind Tiara's television.

Putting aside my changed account because Evan changed it, I was even more surprised to see the Bengawan Club line up. Their team structure that will compete is: Barbarian, Berserker; Paladin, Knight; Archer, Hunter; Lancer, Spearman; and Witch: Black Magic, Mage. Two more players, as backup players, is: Slayer, Assassin; and One Sword, Warrior.

Seen, after all, they seemed to have chosen an offensive formation. Are they kidding? They rely on Kahfi, as Paladin, to survive? Oy, oy, oy! Paladins do use Shields as their Sub Weapons, but that doesn't mean Paladins are tankers. Why are they that careless? And, if they still want to use it, then bring a Cleric to support them. This… this is so funny.

"Hey, Tiara."

"What?"

"Why didn't they invite you to the tournament?"

I don't know what she was thinking when I said that to him, which obviously made Tiara speechless for a moment. Did I hurt him? Or maybe, is there something else?

After thinking that, Tiara finally opened her mouth.

"I... am not needed."

"W-Why?"

Her words made me wonder, what does this mean? I know, Tiara is a very good player, even she is capable of making Healing Magic from a distance. But why? Why is a player like him not needed? Why?

"Because I'm a Cleric."

"..." I fell silent, without being able to reply to his words.

"They don't need a Cleric, because Clerics are a class that only causes trouble for them. You know, a Cleric must always be well guarded because a Cleric does not have attack and defend skills. Clerics only have support skills, and according to them, it will only be troublesome for them. So, I didn't get a contract to enter the Bengawan Club. Bagas, Joko, and Elvina, they actually got the contract, but they refused and decided to leave. As for me, who is only a Cleric, must be humiliated and laughed at by them. I don't know why, even so, I still managed to play EOA games even though I lost my friends. "

"... I've said it from long ago until now, right." I pulled Tiara's shoulders, making her head rest on my shoulder.

"Eh?"

"A Cleric is very strong. No matter what, how it is, a Cleric will not abandon his friends. Cleric will always provide support to his friends, even though Cleric actually knows that Cleric is the most targeted by his opponents. Ha ha ha. Only fools and useless people can't protect a Cleric."

"Ah, you're right, Daylon. Thank you."

"I'm always grateful to you for continuously providing support to me. And in return, I will take good care of you. There won't be other players or monsters that can hurt you."

"Thank you, Sensei — I mean, Daylon."

After Tiara said that, suddenly her left hand embraced my right shoulder, like a hug, while closing her eyes. And at that very moment, I spoke with my own mind:

Ah, this is bad. What do I do? Ah, this is bad. I did it… I did it again. Oh shit! Suddenly, I was dying to pee. Ah, this is bad, I have to go to the toilet now.

"Hey, Tiara."

"Hmm?"

"Well, actually… Before that, can you please let go of your hands first?! I want to go to the toilet for a bit."

"O-Oh, okay. Sorry. I got carried away."

After Tiara let go of her hand, I immediately ran without thinking.

In stark contrast to the perfect Meralco Club line-up, the structure of the team. Anyway, I'm back on the sofa. In my opinion, they have thought about the best possible attack and defense patterns. No, even they were very offensive at their attacks. It was proven, they brought 2 players a Warrior in their line-up.

Their line-up is: Dual Sword, Warrior; Dual Sword, Warrior; Tanker, Knight; Maiden, Cleric; and Gunslinger, Hunter. And 2 backup players: Lancer, Spearman; and Wizard: White Magic, Mage.

If my hunch is right, then one Warrior player will guard the Cleric player, of course, the Tanker will also help guard him. And one more Warrior player will attack in the front row. And for Hunter, I'm sure, his weapon is a Sniper. Likely, the Hunter will hide in a place that cannot be reached.

The names of the two captains were: Evan with the Barbarian class, Berserker; and Bodic with the Tanker class, Knight. They shook hands on the stage, before finally heading to the room provided, on the left and right of the stage which was covered in a long black cloth.

But this is a little strange, to me. Why doesn't anyone wear the Ronin class, Samurai? Why? Even Evan changed my account class. Why? What happened to the Ronin? Was the Samurai class removed from the game?

"Hey, Tiara."

"What's the matter, Daylon?"

"Why doesn't the Samurai class exist for each of the two team's line-ups? Is there no Samurai class anymore?"

"Ah, is that so. In fact, the Samurai class was nerfed. Several samurai skills had their damage lowered. So, it's rare for players to choose the Samurai class because of this. Most players, usually choose a class that can still deal great damage rather than choosing the Samurai class."

"Is that so... How about the «Meikyo Shisui» skill, is it nerfed too?"

"I don't know about Samurai skills. But apparently, doesn't seem nerfed."

"Oh, okay."

The skill «Meikyo Shisui» is a skill that can make the user calm like calm seawater. This skill only generates Buff and increases the attack power for the next skill to be used. Most of the players, who used the Samurai class, would use the Skill «Meikyo Shisui» first, before finally attacking with a large damage-producing skill, such as «Hissatsu Zettai». Most players will be like that because they will end their battle against other players or monsters.

However, the skill «Hissatsu Zettai» took care of MP too much when it was used. Sometimes, if the skill fails or doesn't recognize the opponent, then the user will not have enough MP to use the next skill. Most of the Samurai class players did not anticipate that and proudly looked as if they were sure of winning.

The skill «Meikyo Shisui» has a Buff duration of only 2 minutes, but if you use the next skill, the Buff will disappear. Unlike the players who originally used the «Hissatsu Zettai» skill, I prefer to spend the duration of the Buff «Meikyo Shisui» and attack monsters or players with my Katana, more precisely, Basic Attack.

The reason? That's because I don't want to waste that Buff. And when Buff was approaching 3 seconds, I just used the next skill, which was «Run For Your Life» — no, that's not it. I mean, the «Hissatsu Fubuki» skill, which doesn't drain MP much. Then, fleeing — I mean, attacking the enemy.

"Maybe that's why that guy changed his class to Berserker," said Tiara.

"Ah, maybe. Then, what about my Katana? What happened to that Katana?"

"It was sold yesterday."

"Hah?" I am shocked.

"Yesterday, Evan held an auction in the EOA game, and the Katana was successfully sold at a fairly high price, Rp.500,000,000."

"H-How expensive. W-Why did that rotten Katana sell that much?"

"That's because your Katana grade is Awaken grade."

"Who bought it?"

"I don't know. His identity is hidden. But yesterday, the auction site was a little rioting."

"Unrest? What do you mean?"

"An anonymous player and wearing a hood over his head suddenly attacked the auction site and tried to take your Katana."

"Hood?"

"Yes."

"Looks like, I know who it is," I said in a low tone.

"You know something about him?"

"No, no, no, I don't know. But I didn't think that the Katana could sell that much, even though..."

"Hmph?"

"Nothing."

Even though I got it so easily, that's what I wanted to say earlier.

Yeah, I got that Katana while fishing for Fish Items in the swamp. Just then, suddenly a crocodile — I mean, an NPC disguised as a crocodile, suddenly appeared beside me. The NPC asked me to help him because he was choking on something in his throat. I can only remain silent while staring at him with an expressionless face at that time.

Even though a quest had appeared on my screen, I still ignored it. The NPC kept crawling here and there, but I didn't care. And after 20 minutes had passed, the NPC suddenly moved its tail towards my feet and reduced my HP by 50%. And suddenly, the screen in front of me appeared a new quest which said: Help me! In my throat is a crystal ball containing a good weapon. If you help me, I will give it to you. Help me! Hurry up! I'm sorry I disguised myself as a crocodile just to swim. I am truly sorry. Hurry up, help me!

At that time, I didn't think about the reward, I just thought about how to get rid of the NPC. I accepted the quest, then drew my Katana at him and slashed him, but didn't kill him and left his HP at 1%. After that, I gave the NPC an HP Potion Item, and he gave the reward to me for helping him.

The prize entered into my Bag Menu, I opened it and found several options on the item. That choice was an Grade Awaken weapon from each class. Because my class is Samurai, I chose Katana.

Yeah, EOA's game system really took me by surprise. Am I actually lucky, huh? Why suddenly can a good item appear in front of me, without me having to look for it. Really, strange system.
