"The prince is very harsh, isn't he?"
Thana was about to take the first bite of the incredibly appealing steak that must have been carefully prepared for them. Her mouth watered but her eyes looked at the princess whose face was evidently showing how she was in great distress from what happened.
She knew that this was bound to happen, the princess would eventually break in front of Thana and she accepted this. So, she puts her fork down and tilts her head at the princess to show her attention to her need to pour out her heart.
"I really wanted to believe that you were right about my chances with him. But after tonight, it made me open my eyes at that possibility. I do not think you were right at all. The prince does not and cannot return what I feel for him."
Thana dropped her shoulders with guilt, "I'm sorry, I know it was not right of me to urge you to keep hoping without knowing much about you or his feelings."
