Following her instinct, Szeina headed south. There were no trees visible in her surroundings just yet, but she was certain that she'd be coming to it soon. She just hopes that whatever that big bang was, no one was harmed for real.
The thought almost made her stop.
'What if it was one of her companions? Worse, it could even be Yvann?'
Fueled by the idea, Szeina pushed her feet to move faster, the grass brushing through her bare skin.
She'd want nothing but another cold shower later. But she'd reserve that thought until she made it out of this portal.
She also listed in her to-do's getting back at whoever was responsible for the magic tree.
If it wasn't for that, she and her team would still be intact and still looking for that treasure, which they didn't even know what.
At the end of the clearing, Szeina stopped short and allowed herself to admire the beautiful landscape that lay in front of her.
