Wang Lei and Yu Yan had just arrived home after driving Shi Lian to her place.
They both felt tired after a long day at work, but their exhaustion was soon forgotten as they were greeted by Yu Yan's cute four-year-old son, Li Jie. He ran towards them, hugging his mother's legs, and looking up at Wang Lei with curious eyes.
"Uncle Wang!" Li Jie exclaimed, his voice filled with excitement.
Wang Lei smiled at the young boy and crouched down to his level. "Hey, buddy. How are you doing today?"
Li Jie beamed, showing his missing front teeth. "I'm good! Look what I made in school today!" he said, holding up a drawing of a big red heart.
Wang Lei took the drawing and examined it. "Wow, that's really nice. Did you make that all by yourself?"
Li Jie nodded proudly. "Yes, I did!"
