Anna sat in her room with Ella after a long day of work.
"Ah, I'm so tired today. I will sleep earlier, Anna. Good night!" Ella said after cleaned herself. She tucked her body inside the blanket and closed her eyes. Anna stared at Ella and sighed. She could finally put these two bracelets with crescent diamonds inside her box.
She opened the wardrobe and put the bracelets inside her small jewellery box. Although it was empty, Ella said that it was given by her mother for Anna, and she said the box would bring Anna a happy life.
'What kind of box would give me a happy life anyway?' Anna pondered.
She took out the small box with intricate engravement and a small swan carving made out of wood on the lid. She caressed the engrave and pondered, 'I don't know what should I do with my identity as the black swan. But it might come in handy in the future. When I have to leave the kingdom to search for the white swan, if I can transform and fly, it should be faster than just travelling as a human.'
Anna fished out the bracelets from her pocket. She stared at the bracelets and finally found a difference when it was a late night.
The bracelet from Prince Ignis would have its crescent diamond glowed in warm orange colour, and when Anna touched it, it felt warm as well.
The bracelet from Mister Raven would have its crescent diamond glowed in bluish and somewhat purple, and opposite of Prince Ignis' warm diamond, Mister Raven's crescent diamond felt chilly.
Although both were identical in looks, their crescent diamond was very different.
'Both of them are a gift, though. I still have to appreciate it,' Anna thought.
She kissed both crescent diamonds and put them inside the swan box before hiding the box inside her wardrobe again. Anna returned to her bed and closed her eyes gently since today was indeed a very tiring day.
Little did she know, when she fell asleep, the bracelets with crescent diamonds that she just kissed glowed inside the swan box. Each crescent diamond tried to overpower each other, and their light became brighter and brighter.
The swan carving on the lid absorbed their lights, and slowly, the swan carving made out of wood cracked, showing a swan miniature made out of a black diamond hidden inside the wood.
Crack!
The wood surrounding the black diamond was split in half, and the black diamond swan carving on the lid showed a gentle glow.
The black diamond swan sent out a signal to the moon by sending a small magical swan that passed through the wardrobe and the room. The magic swan flew up high to the full moon, unnoticed by everyone.
The full moon caught the signal from the black swan and sent out a signal back to the Lunaris Kingdom, more accurately, to Queen Seria's room. Because in that room, there was a statue of the moon lady, the Goddess worshipped in Kingdom Lunaris.
Queen Seria was kneeling to pray in front of the moon lady statue.
"My generous Goddess, please protect my kingdom from the evil, and give us everlasting prosperity. My gentle Goddess, please shower us with your gentle light every night, so we may live to meet the sun the next day."
Queen Seria prayed for her kingdom. But her mind was occupied with her sons. Crown Prince Ignis Lunaris refused to rule the kingdom as a new king and was also not eligible to be one for now. Because he was still unmarried, and he swore he would kill his brother if he became a king.
The Lunaris Kingdom tradition demanded the king get married before or right when he was coronated as the new king.
Queen Seria doubted her son would be married anytime soon, though.
And her second child…
Prince Corvus Lunaris was still unstable. He couldn't turn into a normal human properly. His overwhelming power was capable of exterminating the whole kingdom if he lost control.
Both of them were not fit to rule at all.
But most importantly, Queen Seria prayed that Ignis would be able to let go of the past and rule.
While she wished Corvus would be able to control his power and return to be normal human again.
In her deepest heart, Queen Seria cupped her hands, closed her eyes, and prayed, "My gentle Moon Lady, please send my son, Ignis Lunaris, a woman that will mend his broken heart. He cannot let of the past and his grudge. Please give him someone that can give him peace."
"My gentle Moon Lady, my other son, Corvus Lunaris, he has been suffering from the curse of darkness since his birth. He had killed his father and little sister in an accident. I really want him to be able to live normally again."
"I beg you to give me a solution, Moon Lady, is there anything I can do to help my second son?"
Queen Seria opened her eyes, and the moment she opened her eyes, a black swan passed through the wall. The black swan flocked, and it flew around on the room, spreading magical dust around the room.
Then, a vermillion bird passed the wall and approached the black swan. The black swan and the vermillion bird danced around.
Not long after, a raven passed the wall, and the black swan also danced with the raven.
Then the black swan flocked its wing and flew around, sprinkling the magic dust once more. Simultaneously, the vermillion bird and the raven chased the black swan playfully before all of them collided with a flash and disappeared like a firework.
Queen Seria watched in a daze. She glanced at the statue of Moon Lady, who glowed after being showered by the magic dust. Queen Seria knew this was a foresight, an answer given by the Moon Lady.
"That Vermillion bird and Raven… Ignis and Corvus?"
There was a gentle that echoed around the room to answer Queen Seria's question,
'The Black Swan is their true love and their answer.'
