Once inside Ro hastily shut and locked the door. She sat down on the toilet and forced herself to think of a clear calm lake. She meditated on it for a few minutes and then finally reopened her eyes.
"Ky, can I come out now?" she called through the door.
"Yes." Came the calm reply. Slowly and carefully Ro unlocked and opened the door. She saw Ky sitting at her desk. His eyes were still glowing but only slightly. "Sit down." He ordered his eyes never leaving hers. Ro crossed to one of the stools at the kitchen counter and sat. "Now we need to get something cleared up." Ky began. Ro looked down feeling ashamed of herself. "You are mine. That means you belong to me." Ro's eyes flashed up to his in confusion.
"You still want me?" She asked softly. Anger crossed Ky's face.
"Of course I still want you!" He snapped. Then he let a slow breath out. "But if you want to wait until you are ready, I will wait. However, if you let anyone else take you while I am waiting, two things will happen. Firstly, I will kill whoever that creature is, slowly and very painfully. And secondly, I will be done waiting for you. I will have you right then and claim you and you will be mine. There will be no marking period. That will be it." Ro paled. "Do you understand me?" Ky asked his eyes boring straight into Ro's.
She said nothing for a long minute as a myriad of emotions ran through her; fear, uncertainty, lust, anger, but mostly anger. Her jaw clenched.
"No. I will not be claimed." She said firmly. "When I choose to have sex again, it will be when I choose, with whoever I choose. You have no say in the matter." Ky stared at her his handsome face becoming a plane of hard angles. Ro watched him swallow hard, once, twice. His jaw worked.
"Roselyn, you belong to me. I have already told you that I will not wait forever for you to realize this. My patience is wearing thin. I am letting you lie to me about the crow. How much further do you want to push me tonight? I will kill him." Ro said nothing just glared at him defiantly.
Ky stared at her and snarled. He needed to get out of there he could already feel his desire returning. "Put this on. I don't want you to take this off again." He said holding out his hand. His necklace dangled from it.
When Ro hesitated to take it, a hard look came over his glowing eyes, "Put it on." He ordered.
Sighing, she took the necklace from him and slipped it over her head. She didn't know if she needed protection anymore, but she wanted him to leave, and this was the quickest way.
Ky nodded and turned from the room. Ro watched him go and regretted opening the door in the first place. After he left her anger swiftly returned. She didn't belong to him no matter what he said. She wasn't anybody's and she never would be. The only way to make sure that happened was to practice hard, but first she had to finish unpacking.
Ro went to her suitcase and did just that. When she was done, she replaced it in the closet and grabbed the book of fire magic that she had hidden. Then she went straight to the practice rooms, where she spent the rest of the day working on magical exercises from the book.
She returned to her rooms at five having gotten through four more spells in the book. Momo, Brawn, and Aerie were waiting for her. They too had a productive day training and were all starving.
The four of them decided to go to one of the campus restaurants for dinner over which they had Ro tell them about her week and they told her about theirs. Throughout dinner however, Momo's communicator kept going off with messages. She would read them and reply quickly, frowning the whole time. After the fifth time her phone went off Aerie demanded to know who was texting her. Momo replied that it was her family promptly ignored it for the rest of the meal.
Once they all had finished eating, the girls returned to Aerie and Momo's room and watched old tv shows again while Brawn went back to his room.

Week 16
Ro felt nervous when she went to her extra magic practice on Monday morning. She hadn't completely forgiven Ky for either of his two visits and she felt uncomfortable about being alone with him after his declaration. However, despite her misgivings their morning practice went the same way it normally did, with Ky smiling happily the whole time and him easily breaking through Ro's mental defenses. Practice ended with Ro once again wondering why she even bothered.
When her classmates arrived, Ky began regular classes with more meditation work towards telepathy. Ro partnered with Momo while Aerie partnered with Brawn. Practice was going well. Momo was beginning to get the hang of allowing herself to enter someone else's mind. Ro was already able to do the second step of the practice, so she just allowed Momo to keep working the whole period.
The hour was almost over when Shiki poked his head in the room. His eyes immediately fell on the Nug and Momo. Professor Arzandia was sitting at his desk watching Ro so intently that he didn't notice Shiki at first. Shiki had to clear his throat loudly before Professor Arzandia even glanced his way. When he did, his expression darkened.
"What do you want?" He asked not liking the look sheepish look on Shiki's face. Shiki shrugged.
"Rin would like to see Momo and the Nug." He replied. Ky's face darkened farther.
"Momo, Nug, go with Shiki." He said angrily. Then he turned back to Shiki. "But this is the last time. Tell Rin to stop interrupting the studies of my students. I will not allow it again." Shiki smiled.
"I'll pass along the message." He said. Momo and Ro got up and followed Shiki from the room.
