The stars around Thomas and Lulu blazed with an unearthly light, and Lulu who was behind him felt a thrill of excitement as she gazed upon the wonders that lay before her.
The dimensional nexus was a place of pure energy and raw power, a place where the fabric of space and time was thin and malleable. Thomas set his course for the nearest planet within the demon domain, on the territory of the moon clan.
But even so it would take quite a while, now he was at peace, Thomas decided to make up for the lost time and opened the system window, setting the synchronization option.
Three months passed in a flash and Thomas stayed almost every moment in synchronization while lulu get bored of watching the starts and asked to enter the Necrophere to play with his "followers".
While this much time passed, time isn't same in the nexus as the rest of the universe so it is a mystery how much time has really transpired.
Thomas on the other had put his all in achieving Synchronization Rate over 80% as well raising with affinity with all the gods and unlocking their last quest. In this case he only planned on consolidating his power and pick the rewards, he wasn't planning on doing the final quests for each deity until later.
For the ones he's already connected with was fairly easy, Kez being the weakens whose dimensional was far lower the others was the first to reach over 80%, then came Dike and Ares, fulling all the requirements for unlocking their final quest.
Bonher and that master of formations he met previously were much harder, with Thomas only reaching 60% Synchronization for those two.
Thomas believed it was due to the amount of memories in his soul being much greater than the others.
Seeing it would take years to complete it, Thomas changed minds and went after the remaining Olympian gods who all seemed to have higher affinity with him.
Following Dike, Thomas synchronized with some smaller deities before moving to Dionysus then Hestia, Hermes and Hephaestus.
Their memories weren't that long with most beings similar to the myths he already knew but even so each second he lived on one of them felt very special to him.
As Dionysus, Thomas leaned enjoy wine and party like no one else. Hestia's memories though him about the joy in loneliness and watching over others, and protecting the warmth of a family.
With Hermes, he learned how to read the stars as well an skill called Basic Divination, a passive skill that when combined with Dike's Eye of Judgement would let him see through people's destiny, at least a part of it.
Synchronizing with Hephaestus had been greatly beneficial to him, helping him walk further into the path of a blacksmith.
Thomas was totally immense in the experience and totally forgot the world for a moments as he kept going from the memories of one deity to another.
Until know Thomas had been experiencing their lifetimes as the deities themselves and through that the amount of experiences he's gone through couldn't be measured by words.
And it needed to be said none of the deities in Gaia were innocent, and Thomas was exposed to quite a lot of bloodshed and other traumatic experience few would believe such as having an eagle eat his liver again and again for numerous years.
But now, he was starting to get bored watching all those years of pointless killing, orgi*s and everything else that followed.
After flying over half of the list of Olympian gods, Thomas realized that despite their long lives, most had quite bland experiences that weren't hard to digest which made easy for the synchronization rate to grow.
[Alert! A deity has invited you to the Hall of Gods]
It was at one point Thomas a system notification popped up, warning him a deity has invited him to the Hall of Gods.
As he stepped through the great doors of the Hall, the air was filled with the scent of incense and the sound of soft, melodic music.
Thomas made his way down the long aisle that led to the heart of the temple, and as he approached, he saw a figure sitting upon a throne he recognized her from the Ares and the other's memories. It was Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty, and she was even more beautiful than Thomas could have ever imagined.
Well, it made sense since beauty is her domain aftercall. Being a non-elemental domain and beauty above all being a very subjective thing, her appearance would always adapt and change to the tastes and feelings of whoever looked at her.
However all of this only lasted a couple seconds before the illusion was broke and was able to see what this famous goddess of beauty was truly like. But don't be mistaken, she's still breathtakingly beautiful, she only lost that air of unstainable beauty from seconds ago.
"Welcome, Thomas," she said, her voice soft and melodic as she extended her hand over to him. "You indeed matured a lot since I first saw you."
