No it was not like the illusion broke, he was just seeing the goddess for what she truly is and not a reflection of his personal tastes.
It took a while to notice but he soon realized his consciousness had slightly changed ever since unleashing his true divinity and wielding the power of a god. Before that he would feel pressured because of his worries, become of the threat of the demon emperors as well other powerful races and experts aiming for him and his loved ones.
Every time he came here to meet a god or goddess, he carried deep the feeling of respect and anxiety in his heart for being in front of some of the beings behind many of the myths he heard over the years.
However, this now changed was different now because Thomas felt his heart had become stronger than ever. No matter who he dealer with, his mind would remain calm and collected at all times, his eyes also began to observe his surroundings in a slightly detached manner like an observer.
Even the thoughts of the demon emperors he was going to face didn't move him anymore.
"It's a pleasure to meet you." Thomas said, as he kissed her hand.
"....." The beautiful goddess kept staring at him with a raised brow then guided him to the back of the hall where a large table fully decorated and filled with all kinds of snacks.
'hmm.... Very curious indeed. Looks like his soul is not the only thing that makes him special.'
Thinking to herself the goddess of love smiled and beckoned for Thomas to approach and choose a seat. "Come closer child, there's something I must clarify to you. It's related to the system, something you are qualified to know with you current system access."
His mental defenses had grown astonishing for the fast few months but he still couldn't help but blush at her smile. From what he recalled, Aphrodite's Charm was a very powerful Authority that is extremely hard to defect against.
Thomas sat on opposite to Aphrodite. The latter gave a graceful nod then explained. "During the day of judgement, when the fate of every plane and dimension within our universe was at stake. In a single day, all gods ranging from lowest to the highest ranking gods, were on the brink of death, bridging with it total unbalance of the universal laws which in turn broke the bright connecting to divinity making impossible for new deities to be born. Chaos insured in every plane and when once had been twelve planes, now only remained nine."

Thomas listened with a calm look in his eyes. All of Aphrodite's words so far were within his expectations. So not only did this supreme expert created the system as well the one who's been keeping the balance of the laws.
'The other entity she spoke about should be the the owner of that eye.' With this, Thomas was able to put together more pieces of the puzzle, enabling him to gain a better understanding towards the system's creation and it's purpose.
After a couple seconds, Thomas stood tall and firm as his eyesore to stare directly into Aphrodite's own eyes. "I see how it is. Either way, I won't promise anything, let my future actions speak for me instead."
Aphrodite's applauded and she stood up. "Great response, at this points no words can convince the deities that are doubting you so this line of thought you have is correct. Now let me give you a piece of advice. Make sure to synchronize with as many deities you can but don't accept any final quests yet. You can't digest that much with your current body."

"!!!" With soft and moist touch on forehead, Thomas' mind went blank for instant and there he doze off for whole hours. When he recovered his senses, Thomas was already back on the shuttle mid-flight.
That sudden action went right through his defenses, leaving him highly embarrassed.
Almost immediately, images of a blonde girl and a fiery-haired girl appeared in his mind making his heartbeat quicken even more.
With a blushing face, Thomas slapped himself a couple times before recovering. Once he was better he noticed notification on top corner of his eyes.
