The shining metal knight clashed against the heavens. During the whole time, Thomas drew all the the lightning strike to himself to which served to temper the body of his knight.
He could even feel the spiritual fluctuations of his artifact grow significantly as it absorbed the lightning from the clouds.
Inside the Knight's heart, Thomas could control every aspect of his mech with his mind alone. The grade of versatile was higher than a mech moved through ordinary controls.
The lightning dragons, with their crackling electrical energy, swooped down from the skies and descended upon the mechanical giant. The giant was a massive metallic creation, built for destruction, and was towering over the landscape.
In fact, he didn't even needed to do much as he felt Lumine has grown much smarter and other than understanding his thoughts and emotions and piloting it was easy.
The lightning dragons, with their crackling electrical energy, swooped down from the skies and descended upon the giant.
The dragons swooped down, their bolts of lightning crackling in the air. But the Thomas was not intimidated. He stood his ground, deflecting the bolts with ease.
As the battle raged on, the luminous knight dispersed, shifting and reconfiguring its form form. In a matter of seconds, it transformed into a sleek and nimble shuttle, capable of soaring through the skies. The lightning dragons were taken aback by the sudden transformation but quickly regained their composure. They followed the shuttle as it rose into the air, continuing the fight.
The shuttle was fast and agile, dodging the bolts of lightning that the dragons unleashed. It replied with a hail of laser fire and missiles, but the dragons were too quick and evaded each attack. The shuttle then deployed a powerful energy shield, hoping to protect itself from the dragons' electrical assaults. But the dragons were relentless, and their bolts of lightning arced and crackled around the shield, battering it from all sides.
Just as the dragons seemed to have the upper hand, Thomas fired a massive beam of light, immediately killing one of the dragons. The others however, converged upon the beam, absorbing its energy and redirecting it back at the shuttle.
As the energy blast was about to hit the shuttle, it suddenly dispersed into countless tiny mirrors that filled the sky as Thomas hovered across the sky.
From afar, the mirrors absorbed the energy from the lightning dragons and reflected it back at them, trapping them in an endless feedback loop of energy.
Slowly but surely, their electrical energy was drained as the Luminous Ark absorbed it all before returning to Thomas.
"Great job!" Thomas petted one of the mirrors very gently but then all other mirrors hummed before flying towards him.
...
A few more days after the lightning disaster, Thomas was now in control of the shuttle, and he was ready to leave this planet behind then he stated at his back and nodded to the yellow-purple lion cub.
Right, after defeating the lightning disaster, Lulu's dad came to him and asked if he could take Lulu along to the demon realm.
Thomas was really feeling it, but the tribal chiefs said they talked beforehand with the sky kings and they suggested having Lulu, who can pass by a Daemons to infiltrate the demon realm so the Zeria can know the true extent of the demonic civilization.
Having so many people asking him, Thomas had no way to deny and accepted the request. He already knew the coordinates to this world. He just needs to get a new pathfinder device and he can send her off to Zeria.
Looking out to lonely isle down bellow, the remnants of his battle against Arthorias were visible in the form of scorched earth and craters.
Seeing the traces of devastation which he was partly responsible for, Thomas sighed. He knew his matter with this world were far from finished but he couldn't waste anymore time.
But before leaving he had to make sure Lulu understood the gravity of the situation. "Lulu, I must stop the demon invasion on my world. Do you understand we are not going to play, this is something serious, right?"
"Of course I understand, but you can protect a whole world alone. Don't you see? I even learned how to speak Earthling. I really want to help, to repay for everything you did for my dad and younger sister. I'm a little sorry for Nana, she's still pissed she couldn't tag along."
He had been on this planet for little time, had a few moments of life and death and survived in a environment few humans could do the same. In fact he even came to like this world of Zeria and even made himself promise to come here later after resolving everything.
Thomas said goodbye to everyone as it was the time for him to head to the demon domain.
Inside the shuttle, Thomas was making the final preparations and meanwhile he asked. "Kez' are you sure these coordinates are right?"
[How can I be wrong? It's this one, alright. Oh... It has been so many years, I wonder how things are over there....]
Thomas fixed his eyes upon the sky as well the three suns in the distance. It was time for a new adventure, and he was ready to leave this world behind.
Thomas flipped a few switches and filled the shuttle's runes with sunlight. The shuttle roared to life, its thrusters blazing as it lifted off the ground. Thomas guided the shuttle upward, soaring into the sky and breaking through the atmosphere. He looked down at the planet, one last time, and then turned his gaze towards the stars.
After looking out a little, Thomas engaged the shuttle's sunlight engines and aimed for a dimensional rift, the narrow passage that connected the normal universe to the dimensional nexus.
The stars around him stretched and distorted as he hurtled through the fabric of space and time. An interstellar journey is long and treacherous, and traveling through the dimensional nexus was just as dangerous.
