Chapter 150 - Inside the Necrosphere

Retrieving the spear and changing it back into the black orb, a ominous atmosphere took over when a cat's eye deep within the orb opens.

[The Divine Artifact's skill is activating...]

The former lord of the Krias felt a chilling touch down his spine when he and all other Daemons who still couldn't move before swept away by a very cold air.

It all happened in a instant, Luke who was in the utmost front alongside Glay felt his senses scramble for a second and by the time he recover, the scenery isn't the same anymore.

The many Daemons in his side as well the peak 7-star Glaymoor were all but gone and upon glancing at his surrounds, he's me by a disconcerting world.

Thick, dark clouds block out any light from above and cover the gloomy gray lands down bellow. Shrieks and yelps are heard all around you, but it's impossible to find their sources.

"For lowly demon prince send most of his experts here, I wonder how important is that thing to him." Followed by a voice, Thomas appeared. Sitting over a thick branch of a oak tree, the only tree in this desolate wasteland.

Luke suddenly want to say something but it was like his mouth wouldn't move. He's certainly aware of Thomas whom he met in Aaron that day. That time he only noticed the youth because of his unique physical features and appearance as well being accomplished by Kajaha's second daughter whom he felt a little affection for.

Later when he was told of his father plans of joining the Lord, he was given a great increase of power. It was lucky that he and many others went directly to the 6-star level while being mere 3rd and 4th grade beasts.

Still he was not much constant from having to discard his proud lineage that has endured many years. It was also strange how his father and uncles could let go of everything they ancestors stood for just for opportunity of slaving themselves to a demon.

Now when he looked at Thomas knowing he's a demon as well, he felt quite complex.

His dad who knows more about this mysterious "Ries" said he's is the lord's number one enemy and the true threat to all of their plans.

He's a demon with affinity to light, an element most demons are afraid of and fire. Worst is that and by using uniting these two strengths. Even one of them is a bad thing, but having both doesn't mean tho mas could eventually merge them both together.

And if that wasn't enough, he also made himself into a beast whose bloodline aura wasn't any weaken than the ninth-grade beasts of legend.

Well, with the exception of Arthur no one truly knows he already did that. When pulled into the nexus and fighting in frenzied state, Thomas nearly took the demon prince's life with that strange power.

Even now when recalling the bright sun before his eyes was enough to make him shiver. It's a miracle he survived and fell on the land of the Krias.

In this very moment however, Luke thought a mere "Threat" was not enough to describe the one before him. His atmosphere, air were all pressuring him in a way he couldn't explain.

Worst is that even when feeling like a ant standing before a mountain, he couldn't feel any trace of energy from his breath which is almost nonexistent.

Thomas let go of the tree and landed on the murky gray earth.

His eyes didn't fail to notice the deep green light all over the former twilight lion.

It was the eyes of judgement activating by itself. He could see through it Luke's nature as well the level of threat he posed to him which was zero of course.

Then with the help of his monstrous senses of a titan, he scanned the Daemon before him.

All the interior of Luke's body could be seen as clearly as the waters of lake Targalia. Along with it came lot's of useful information about the target such as weight, his physical abilities and a lot more.

It's a pit that this skill won't work on distant targets, but thanks to it he came to know the whole structure of an Daemon's body.

'I see, so that's the problem with Daemons...' He could see that the physique of an Daemons is in fact weaker than that of beast, around the same level as a low-rank demon and nothing more. This truly came as a shock.

While the ones turned into Daemons gain demonic energy and a sudden burst of power which increases makes them reach higher levels without much difficulty. But this increase in fact comes from the cost of an beast's innate physique which is twice as strong than your average demon or adept.

Another thing to note is that empowering through this method will exhaust all of their potential which makes any of the Daemons transformed by Arthur unable to grow stronger.

This is very unlike the stories and records of the ancient Daemons who founded the demon realm.

A single drop of golden blood hiding deep within Luke's heart when most of the blood should have been used for the transformation.

There was a small runic shape branded into the single blood drop, it was the rune of Huru which means "control" in the demon realm's tongue.

"I see you life is in my enemy's grasp." Said Thomas as he slowly walked closer. "To let so many of you fall on my hands, I must thank Arthur for that."

"...."

Luke was silent, controlling his heart was all he could do when the chilling cold paw landed on his shoulder.

"Sleep now, I will deal with you later."

Thomas then dissipated and was now somewhere else within the Necrosphere.

The one clawing on the ground in the moment is the 7-star Daemon and former lord of the Krias, Glaymoor. Yet right now, even somebody like was could only lied down and agonize from the pair he felt.

Purple particles rushed out of Thomas sleeves and all gathered on Luke who was already lying in the ground and agonizing.

Following that were six jet black walls which surrounded Glaymoor, sealing him from the outside world.

The screams continued for god-knows how long before it stops.

All the walls dissipated and a middle-aged man with a head full of black hair was seen. However, one can easily notice the lifeless gray skin and ice-cold body which would make anymore mistake him for a corpse.

If given a closer look one would noticed the entirely of that gray skin is fact compromised of thousands of thin runes from top of his head all the way to his toes.

But what Thomas was really paying intention to was the notification in the corner of his eye.
