Before leaving the old Kajaha bleeding on the ground, the Twilight Lion targeted the other tribes leaders who couldn't even hope to endure more than three exchanges.
"Old Vail is too strong!"
"From where he's got this power?!"
The battle heart tribe chief, Damon blocked the enemies and turned his head to look at Lail in the distance. "You bastard, why are you doing this? Where is your honor? Where is the way of us beasts?! Such trickery is unworthy of our ancestors!"
The claw which was about to split the head of another beast froze midair, the black lion eyes locked on the tall gray bear, then laughed. "You are indeed as stupid one can be. Honor and pride are nothing, for unlimited power, what is letting go of all these small things."
As this strong slender form appeared before the Damon's body, it waved claw and sweep across the tall bear who couldn't even see the attack with his eyes.
Taken aback by the sheer speed behind Vail's claw, Damon only had the time to slide to the left. Changing the trajectory of the claw from his chest to his right leg.
"Urg!" A whole piece of met had been cut of his leg then a feet kicked him into a tree. If the spirits of the beasts of Aaron were already weak when the traitors initiated the attack, with the strongest among them fell in less than three blows, their heads had completely died down, losing their will to fight.
'...' Vail kept silent before gazing into the distance. Despite being concerned about the previous phenomenon of the clouds which made him stop the attack for a couple minutes, he didn't want to drag this for long and signed to the other Daemons.
"Draw back, we don't need to slay them all this time. Master's orders are only to collect a certain object and this is what we are going to do!"
"Yes!" "Yes!" "All hail the Master!"
All daemons cheered in unison. Vail on the other hand gave a short look around the ruined camp before stepping forward and grabbing at a large creature whose face was covered in eyes. Yes, it's the Hundred Eyes Beast that Thomas had met before, the one caring the book containing information on the Daemons. The same one that was nowhere to be seen when the first beast began transforming into Daemons.
It had hidden inside a tree in fear. It knew very well how back
"You damned hundred eyes beast, don't you think I know you have it in you?"
The beast's expression turned sour as his large face paled.
"You won't answer?"
'This blasphemous power...' The beast glared at the lion-headed humanoid.
The hundred eyes beasts are few and with low battle efficiency. Even if gather all of their species, it would barely count as an full-fledged tribe.
Vail strengthened his grip as his claw drew closer to to the giant head.
"Give it to me, now! Or I will pop every eye of yours."
The beast shrunk before the roar, he then drew a small object out of his own body and handed it over.
Vail received the mysterious object, a small glassy square about the size of a paw. He gave it a close inspecting before glee appeared in his eyes.
"Great, I don't need to deal with you anymore."
Storing the object in his pocked, Vail exchanged glances with his son and tribesmen as well the other tribes that joined the Daemons and threw the old beast to the ground before leaving.
A couple minutes later, another humanoid stepped into the camp that was now completely devastated after the battle. Purplish pupils glanced at the scenery of destruction and death everywhere then at the collapsed yellow lion at the far back and a chill flashed past her eyes.
"Daddy!" Lulu leaped over the corpses, stopping before the tall lion. Immediately she could feel the one before her was very, very week.
His respiration was slow and without any strength behind, it seemed as if it could stop at any moment.
Emotion boiled and deep within herself, blood red glow seemed to flow into her veins, eyes, muscles and bones.
Hugging the body, she could feel an emotion she had never felt before reaching it's peak when a familiar voice resounded in her mind.
"Lulu! Stop, you need to calm down or the demonic instincts will make you lose your mind."
Lulu immediately stood up, she looked all around but couldn't see the person she's looking for so she could ask. "Ries?"
"You can hear me?!"
This time Thomas seemed slightly surprised but it didn't distract him from continuing. In fact he felt happy it worked. "Great! I was on my way to you when I suddenly began hearing negatives thoughts and emotions hammering my mind. I noticed your mind was about to slip away when I called for you, I held little expectation but it surprisingly worked. It looks like the blood exchange may have created a telepathic connection."
"Telepathic? What are you talking about?"
From her words, Thomas realized she must have been way more confused then him and immediately explained. "Telepathic connection is when two people are able to transmit and receive thoughts from one another. Even in my hometown it is something that can only be done with expensive equipment. It must have been inactive until you received a strong shock which made the connection activate."
'Ah...' Lulu then understood, then she looked at the unconscious lion in her hand and cried. "It's dad, he's unconscious and very weak. Our forces have also been crushed, there is no way we can defend against the Krias."
"I've heard your thoughts before so I know that, just wait, I'll be arriving soon."
