Shortly after sending his thoughts to Lulu, Thomas arrived in the camp where he could see the pile of bodies scattered around.
'Two thousand are dead, but the rest is still breathing.' Thomas made a quick observation and noticed at least quite a lot of beasts still survived despite being crushed. He sighed deeply to himself searched for the purple-haired girl.
"Lulu!"
Hearing the same voice as the one in she heard just minutes ago, Lulu held onto Kajaha's unconscious body as the pair of amethyst eyes searched for the source of the voice, then froze on the spot.
"Ries? You have changed."
"Maybe. I still feel the same though." Even if as a lion, his scent is not different from what Nana and Lulu are familiar to. Right now, Lulu was shocked by the sheer felling the boy was giving at the moment.
She didn't know what exact has changed, but he felt very different. Almost as if he's been through a evolution just like happened to her.
She then raised the unconscious lion. "Here is dad, can you help him?"
"Of course." The boy's eyes turned green as the aura he exulted turned vibrant and warm. This is the effects of the Shroud of Immortality's passive effect in action, a 50% increase of recovery ability. Feeling it in his body, Thomas closed his eyes as his took Kajaha out of Lulu's hands.
While an invisible force invaded the old lion's body, Thomas made him drink the contents of a red bottle.
It was some healing potion infused with some of his vitality, just amplify his skill effects and make sure it would affect all regions of the beast's body equally.
In less than fifteen minutes, Kajaha was already in a stable condition.
'He's still severely injured, but for now it should be enough.'
"I think I can do it." After transferring the regenerative powers of his all to Kajaha, Thomas grew confident and after a moment of ponder he gave all the beasts the same "Potion" as the one he gave to Lulu's dad then spread the effects of his skill through the entire camp.
Feeling themselves rapidly returning to peak states while the ones close to death returning to a safe condition, the beast couldn't believe in what they were seeing.
The lion's face immediately recovered it's color as soon the liquid flowed down the throat. Seemingly a lot better, and he continued improving at a very fast pace.
The other beasts saw what he did and gave surprise stares, it is known that a fur-less monkey was living with Kajaha and his tribe. Yet, he's now an lion?
Obviously he's not one of them, once transformed the daemons lacked the scent of an beast. It was replaced by something else, this power made them more violent and vicious than a common beast which purpose is only to survive.
Their minds were open to other things such as desire, greed, cunning. In a way the traitors had become more human-like which was the total opposite of the beasts. Thomas on the other side is a human of few desires and very pure heart if compared to other humans.
Resisting the foul demonic instinct which threatened his sanity, Thomas endured until losing his demon physique and this evil power with it.
Then after assimilating the human, demon and beast into the Titan race, Thomas had become an higher species in a similar way the Daemons were higher than the beasts and similar to demons.
Jil, a two-headed black dog of an unknown species and an ally of the Battle Heart Bears was one of the few who remained conscious and with his sense of smell being the second only to Lulu he could feel it.
'This scent, it reminding me of that.' Jil lowered his head and left. Thomas, whose eyes were focused on the patient had realized the black dog had been observing him for quite some time before leaving.
Most beast were now awake with the exception of the Battle Heart Tribe's Tribe Head as well some other leading figures. After settling those unconscious on carts, the now broken army of only a couple thousand. Forces that had no way of winning against the Daemons and Krias could only retreat, but not to Aaron, Thomas took them somewhere else.
But this didn't meant he leave Aaron unattended, sending forces, including Lulu and her cousins, to rescue the beasts remaining in the city and take them to the meeting point previously agree upon.
On the way there, Thomas didn't speak much and none of the beasts dared ask anything to their benefactor, but given he's spent some time in Aaron, the news of his identity spread quite fast among the beasts who whispered in the corner.
"Did you hear, I heard that guy there is Ries. It was said he's fur-less monkey from one of the highland tribes, but then he turned into a lion?"
"He used to be a monkey? Are you sure? He seems very formidable, the aura I felt just is denser than even those bastards that crushed us. He even lived with the earthly core lions for the past weeks so he could only be pure-blooded."
"I thought he's one of old Kajaha's children. Doesn't he look like the second miss Lulu?"
"Miss Lulu isn't in that monkey form right now? Now that you say it, I can see it too. It seems he's from a mutant species from the continent and goal is to get revenge upon the Daemons who destroyed his tribe."
"You guys are crazy. My dad has had a chat with him and according to what he's heard from Ries himself. He's from the... Human Race? Yeah, this is it, the human race. It's an species evolved from monkeys. Maybe humans can alter between forms just like the daemons?"
One of the voices hesitantly asked. "If it's so, then shouldn't his beast form look like a monkey instead of a lion?"
"He should be an peak seventh-star beast at the very least. Given he's still too young for the coming-of-age ceremony, his potential should near the Holy Beast Houses..."
By this point the rumors about him far outstripped the truth.
Thomas was walking on the front, alone, as no one else felt brave enough to stand next to him due to the insane bloodline pressure he exhaled at every instant.
Only one crazy beast dared do so and it was the Hundred-eyed Beast Thomas had met in Aaron.
"Benefactor, I see now you have complete harmony within you. Total difference from those foul creatures." Now, the hundred-eyed beast addressed Thomas as benefactor since the later had just saved some of the few remaining of his kind. "Actually, there is something you ought to know."
"What is it?" Thomas turned his heard and asked very calmly. Even know he didn't understand much about the hundred-eyed beast's importance, but he had seen the moments before the Daemons left. 'They were protecting some of key, and that black lion which helped in clipping my physique has taken it away. Whatever it is must be very important.'
The hundred-eyed beast was frantic, eyes darting to the sides as he approached Thomas and whispered. "I handed it, I gave the key away, but they don't know... They don't know that the Archis is not in Aaron. It is in Verdan."
