Chapter 139 - Resonating Artifacts

In the long plains down below, all the of the demon prince's spies turned against the beasts of Aaron.

All water lions within the camp raised their claws and slashed the throats of other fellow beasts. Other tribes such as the rare Spinax, the Fox-bee, as well over half of all ape tribes living within Aaron the Reptilian tribes joined against the Battle Heart Tribe and the other tribes in the alliance.

The forces of the free cities that were already in disadvantage against the numerous Krias got thrown in the worst position. Facing internal conflict to which even the Hundred Eyes Tribe was oblivious to served as proof how well the enemy had planned all of this.

The tallest bear of the Battle Heart Tribe slapped his chest and sneered. "There damned beast, going this low in a fair and just war is against all the teaching of our ancestors. I'll make them pay!"

A giant bear fell upon the battlefield, grabbing a tall lion-man by the head and smashing it down the ground like watermelon.

One by one the other tribe heads all followed the giant bear, using their beastly bodies as a weapon and kill as many of the traitors as possible.

"Sorry Kajaha but your death is necessary to the rise of the Daemons."

"Huh?" It was then Kajaha who was assisting his own tribesman in fighting the water lions suddenly felt a cold shiver down the spine followed by a instantaneous pain.

A lion-headed man quietly appeared next to him, claws drenched in blood as he watched the former head of the Earthly Core Lions reached out with his head in a attempt to bit him off but was deflected and kicked back over ten meters away.

Down at the ground the old lion's eyes swept the surroundings, other than the battle heart tribe whose combat ability is the greatest, their remaining forces are being swiftly pressured and killed one after another.

Even if their got out of this with their lives, the chances of winning are non-existent, even a proud lion like him could see that. In the end the Krias wouldn't even have to fight and everything would end by the hands of these traitors.

The entire sky over the island darkened in an instant, under numerous shocked faces, a thunderous lion Roars shook the earth and sky alike as the dark clouds converged towards the Verdan Mountain Range not too far away.

This sudden change of atmosphere brought a stop to the fight as both sides had no idea about what is happening.

Lulu who was stuck in her fight against Hagal noticed a familiar aura moments before the whole sky darkened.

As the roar echoed in his ears, a strong and overbearing hatred penetrated from his blood the depths of his very own being, suppressing every tiny bit of his will.

What Hagal didn't know was that the oppressive feeling wasn't affecting just him as all beasts on the 5-stars and above in a area of ten thousand miles knelt down and bowed instinctively while terrified at the source of the overbearing roar.

Standing at the peak of Xamak Mountain, Thomas gave marvelous stares at brilliant treasure floating in the air. Numerous lines popping up in his field of view.

Unnamed (Created by User: Thomas Ries)

Rank: Special Grade: 9

Description: A mysterious artifact created though the mix of multiple elements and the shell of a former divine armament thus it contains a certain some degree of spirituality. It's abilities are unknown as the artifact is still incomplete.

As soon his eyes laid upon the status, his expression turned sour thinking how he failed once more. Only after reading through it a couple times did he notice the two words that drew his attention.

"Spirituality? Incomplete?"

It was strange how the artifact's grade was already established while still incomplete. Despite being it's maker, he had no idea whats is missing. As for spirituality, he knew it was similar to the Luminous Ark and the Golden Chain, it only remained to know what level of spirituality it has. Both Lumine and the Golden Fairy could be said to contain spirituality but only the golden chain's spirit truly possessed intellect and ability to think of it's own.

Still stuck in his line of thoughts, Thomas stepped forwards and reached out to the artifact. As if it knew his intention, the artifact itself drew closer to him, flying straight to his hand.

As soon his hand got in contact with the artifact it was like his heart suddenly stopped. A burning sensation in his hand deepened as it spread to the rest of his body.

Before he had time to respond, the mysterious black pearl hidden inside his body woke up in an instant and started moving towards the artifact against Thomas's wishes while the spear in his hand heated.

It was clear both artifacts seemed to resonate to one another, but this wasn't something he wanted. He felt nervous for the first time as he shouted to the spear in his hand. "Stop! No! Don't do this, there's still people in there I need to save."

Ignoring his words, Thomas was assaulted by intense pain as the black orb suddenly shoot off from his arm, landing right in a thin point below the spearhead.

Ding dong*

Thomas who was already injuries from the process of forging the artifact felt his mind weakening as he passed out but not before hearing sounds of bell ringing right next to his ear.
