Waking up after god knows how much later Thomas felt the orange glow against his face and upon opening the eyes, a beautiful sunset was revealed.
He was standing at the top of a hill watching the flowery hills with swollen eyes.
"Are you awake?"
An old and gentle voice sounded inside his head then upon turning one eighty degrees, a white-haired man with a fairly well-aged face was slowly walking over to Thomas.
"Was I successful?"
"Hehe, you are indeed smart. While the new spear you crafted was far from finished and using the Spear of Ares as base was kinda risky. Even True Gods from the Higher Realms would find hard to control all the killing and resentment it accumulated across eons, that kind of energy is more ferocious than even the demon's baleful aura is mere child-play. One wrong move all the hatred would have formed a natural disaster capable of destroying the whole world."
"Err..." Thomas stopped, eyes widened. "Seriously? That that wasn't just pure energy?"
Only now did he realize he might have take things erroneously. To think the thing he mistake for mere accumulated energy could have such drastic repercussions.
'I guess got lucky this time.'
"You should thank your own soul of that. Another thing I didn't expect is that mysterious black orb in you. That thing turned out to so much more than a mere cursed relic, it even reacted to the ferocious resentment of the spear which made both items fuse together." Prometheus' wrinkled face was visibly happy as he couldn't stop talking. "The final product is fascinating. Even if a demigod artifact is a true Divine Weapon, you have accomplished my last wish of seeing there is a worthy initiator to all my knowledge and techniques."
Ever since his near death moment on mars to getting the system and all other events he's got himself into, he never truthfully had the time to just relax and watch the sun. Memories after memories came to his mind and Thomas couldn't help feeling his own life
"You know, even now I still can't understand why me? You guys have existed way before humanity has been conceived and I have seen it. There has been thousands if not millions of people more talented and with greater abilities than me. Considering the scale of the universe it may be even more people that are suited than me. I-I just can't understand what this mysterious being the Fairy Rae spoke of could see in me."
A large and sturdy hand touched his shoulder. "It's just how the world works, not something that can be explained with reason. Even among other gods, I'm not strong, even some of the so called Adepts could beat me all over. Stop underestimating yourself and stand strong as the road ahead has a lot more in store for you."
By this point, Thomas and Prometheus were side by side, watching the sunset. Thomas fixed his eyes at the skies before addressing the old Titan. "Is this the last time I see you?"
"You now know everything there was needed to know. My duty is now over and after eons of having my liver eaten by that damned Eagle. From now on, the one to carry the name of Prometheus is not me..."
The old man's figure grew to over two thousand feet. Even the hill both had been walking on turned incredibility small when compared to the Titan.
His finger which was a big as some of the tallest trees pressed against Thomas and a gentle voice echoed.
"Is you."
The massive titan crumbled then transformed into countless fireflies surrounding Thomas. The beautiful scenery of the flowery hills vanishes and Thomas stands as numerous lines popped up in the air.
