Reading through the list, Thomas noted the prices in the upgrade list greatly varied but anyone who had played a game with a leveling and upgrade system can understand it a little better.
All the skills differed in quality and rarely while others were pretty good overhaul but had little room for growth.
It's wise to consider carefully where to invest his credits. He still had one EP he got way back then on mars, so it would be better to keep it to himself for a little longer.
For a test, Thomas picked up a chuck of copper from the spatial storage. Copper is a fairly common chemical element known for being is a soft, malleable, and ductile metal with very high thermal and electrical conductivity.
For being fairly ordinary specially nowadays where there is magical ores like animalism or many others with better effects at a cheap price, few would by even a gram of it. But it's specially because of it's "low quality" he wants to see how great is the change brought by a upgrade. It was also a great option for a test since it's the cheapest one.
"Upgrade."
The large chuck of copper glowed in faint white tone before it dissipated after a while. For a moment this chuck of unpreceded material seemed a little bit glossier than normal, but he still couldn't see much difference.
"Upgrade." The second upgrade costed twice the first one and this time the glow had been quite a few times stronger than the previous. For a moment, Thomas felt as if this piece of copper had become much more attractive to the eye as if it had something special within it. By the third and last upgrade, the copper didn't show much glow as it started to shrink even further. Meanwhile, it's surface now had a somewhat grey tone.
With quick look, Thomas felt he wasn't holding a piece of copper. It still smelled like it, but it felt a lot different.
Thomas took a sample of the greyish copper and put it in a slot on his quantum computer for further inspection.
Beep!!!!
With a couple minutes, the computer beeped and a screen filled with lots of text was projected onto the air.
"The composition of this chuck of copper really changed! The density increased as well some things I don't seems to understand. Fine, I will put it back in the spatial store and see what I do with it latter on.
Now he new it really works, it was now time to upgrade some of his skills.
In the end he decided to upgrade
From all the ores, gemstones and other materials he brought back on mars to the system rewards. As long he practices more his blacksmith and formation techniques to be able to unlock the full potential behind his knowledge and skills.
For now, Thomas decided to slow down and prepare. He deeply believed that if he's fallen, there is no way that guy could have gone much further away.
As he may very well be the safest bet to return home, he would also need to weapon to face the Demonic Prince who should have gotten a little bit stronger as well since they last met
'Yeah, I think it's time to put the plan into practice.' Through his experiences of the past through the eyes of the Blacksmithing Titan as well his continuing improvement, Thomas quite confident into making something specifically for Arthorias when they see each other again. though to himself as he recalled the conversation he had with the system's deities and that there are still the innocent people transformed into Necros stuck in the black pearl.
AS he knowns very well, light will always be the enemy of all demons and luckily.
Ever since he fell here, he already envisioned an artifact capable of canalizing his light attribute into a powerful weapon. Using previous designs of Alliance Weapons, he designed Twelve mirrors with circular shapes, each fully controllable and able to move freely in a area of twenty feet around it's master.
Together with the Level 2 Rune Nurturing Energy Formation and a couple celestial runes for a better canalization of positive forces, this mirror would give a considerable boost in the Light Affinity of his Sunlight Demon Form.
The initial design was made with the intention to use Star Silver and the Heavenly Bronze that once endowed the thrones of the Olympian Gods to cast the mirror body and the amazingly reflective Moon God Glass and it would be easy since what he didn't have could be easily bough from the System Store.
The plan is to make them customizable and able to perform different configurations to could bring a variety of effects. If it worked, it's amplification could very well purify the innocent Alliance citizens stuck in the Black Pearl.
And then came the first problem with this project, Heavenly Bronze hardly mixed with other materials, specially those that are had traces of other energies within.
Not only would be it help save the innocent Adepts as it would be the nemesis of all Demon kind. One material that would be a good match for his project would be Dragon Gold. the Prismatic Dragon Gold.
According the inherited memories his demon blood gave him, it gave him information about certain species of Dragons with affinity to metal, the Prismatic Dragon a mythical creature that would rarely leave it's nest.
Unlike most Metal-affinity dragons, The Prismatic Dragon could feed on almost anything, rocks, metals, gemstones, glass to only mention a few. After digestion, those materials all went through a change becoming mystical after taking it some of the mighty of the Prismatic Dragon upon itself.
Once he though of that, Thomas had a quick look at the store and to no surprise there was a Prismatic Dragon Gold in there.
Among all possible Prismatic Treasures, the Prismatic Dragon Gold is the best for the canalization of pure, positive energy as well being much, much lighter than any material found on earth. It almost doesn't weight at all.
"Heavenly Bronze is too volatile. Pliatine is good but too heavy, Prismatic Dragon Gold is perfect but it's going for over ten million credits a piece. Oh, I know how! I can try the Prismatic Sand" Without a second of hesitation he opened the System Store and went searching.
Prismatic Sand Price: 60.000 Credits per 500g
Sure enough, the system store also had it. Prismatic Sand was exact as the name implied, it's the sand where a Prismatic Dragon has walked over once before. It's worth was quite a lot lower, but it should have great effects.
On the next morning when everything was ready, Thomas ran out of the room but not before fading Kajaha and telling he would be away for the day. Then he went to find a quiet and reserved place outside the city.
Finding a nice little natural cave near a pond, Thomas sat down and started pulling out his equipment. And on a large furnace, Thomas started melting down numerous metals together.
"Melting two kilograms of Ordinary Steel Alloy, One ounce of Red Iron Essence, Star Silver and now comes the Prismatic Sand..."
