Chapter 87 - Light-Element Demon

"Perfect, that lowly demon was right. A human with the physique of a demon..." The second the man gave a nod, then bowed to Thomas and spoke in a only both could understand. "I'm Arthorias Sonad Daglares, 127th prince of the Sonad Empire. One of the ten thousand demon clans."

Everything he said had been in the language of the demons, and it was also when he told the truth right away. Seeing how the demon lowered the hostility and started introducing himself, Thomas froze for a moment before recovering. He wasn't planning on lowering his guard since the enemy was about as strong as any 2-star Master Adept.

"I Don't care about who you are. You hurt my friends, so you are gonna pay no matter if you are human, demon, prince or a fucking pope!" Before coming here, Thomas already checked the status of his sunlight transformation.

Thomas Ries (Sunlight Demon Form)

Traits: [Lightwalker, [Herald of the Sun] [Demonic Factor]

Afinities: Light, Fire.

Skills: [Demonic Sense (Passive and Active)], [Blessing of the Sun], [Nine Suns Revolution] [Fire-Element Manipulation] [Light-Element Manipulation]

It seemed on his advancement to level two, both his demon transformations awakened elemental affinities he could use when transformed. With it, the ability to cast light and fire elemental magic appeared on his skill list. With it, Thomas could now sense the concentration of white-colored and red particles in the air.

He felt very familiars to these particles and there was the unconscious thought they would obey him if he willed it so.

'Kan will be arriving any minute.' Thomas thought to himself as he sized up the enemy. He thought the former comrade of Alice to be just a ordinary human, and now it turns out he had always been quite a high ranking demon of a powerful clan.

Inside his mind, he could hear the mumbling of a demon. [Fuck, why are royals here....]

Immediately, Thomas asked. "Kez, tell me everything you know about him."

After a second of silence, the voice replied. [Fine, but then I will have to clarify a few things first. Truth is, I do not belong to any of the ten thousand demon families. The family to which I descended is a rundown family at the verge of the demon domain. All we had is an old and broken down castle in the middle of nowhere that only belonged to our ancestors.]

[Being in the divide between territory of the sun families and moon families, war is something we get used to see everyday. My first ancestors were members of two prominent families of the sun and moon, respectively. Those two families were enemies, but they still did everything in their power to stay together. Their love was seen was seen curse and something to be abhorred among our kind, after all the persecutions, they were killed. However, before that, a single child bearing the blood of the two families survived with neither of the families coming to know of its existence. The physique you acquired is also a little related to my clan.]

[After decades of hard work, I was able to become the lord of my tiny clan. I was happy at first, though my duty was only to serve the emperor of the planet I lived in. You may not know that it is this same emperor that ordered to invade this world through the dimensional rifts to take the resources all to himself.]

[The former Emperor and current great ancestor of the Sonad Empire, Amoth the Sixth, is a true descendant of the Ten Thousand Clans.]

Thomas face grew darker, so is this man's father the owner of a whole planet? That's crazy. What sort of things could be done with that much power.

"It doesn't matter. He's not the only one with backers behind him." He thought to himself.

After some silence, Kez'ganak could guess some of Thomas' thoughts and assured him. [This prince is doesn't look to be too much stronger, and he's still got injuries from his fight with your captain. If we do this right, it's possible to defend your friends, what skills do you have?]

Since time in his mind was much faster than real life, Thomas described the traits the strange luminous particles he could now see.

Kez's reaction to this was... [FUCK! Light affinity?! And you? Light affinity is the most dangerous for us demons, so a Light-element Demon should be impossible.]
