Katherine took thomas outside the association building right after Thomas received the payment for his saber. The sky wasn't dark, the streets were overflowing with people from all sides when a massive object approached from the sky.
"What is that?"
"How how I know, Is it a plane?"
The civilians were startled by the object flying at them, it didn't look like a stellar cruiser an since It's size was at least two times bigger when looking from the ground, and it could be much bigger up close.
Yet Thomas, could clearly see that it was a stellar cruiser and a type he hadn't seen before with sharp edges and a really thick mass of energy covering its body.
The cruiser that descended through the cold air on a empty landing zone next to the association building and it's sheer size attracted the gaze of all the people present.
The other people on the side started quietly discussing."Is that a military grade stellar cruiser?"
"A military grade stellar cruiser?" Thomas had heard about such thing before, a military grade stellar cruiser was not something that could be seen everywhere. Those were equipped with an special hyperdrive engine to enable long-distance flying be it in the air or outer space.
Normally, even adept would rarely even see a this grade of cruiser flying because of how rare it is.
The hatch of the cruiser opened. Thomas looked carefully and saw two people jump off, one which was extremely familiar.
"Captain Alice." Katherine, Thomas and Claire all yelled respectfully, but Alice didn't come alone and was accompanied by the short-haired middle-aged man in red and black battle armor.
Thomas could clearly feel the intense energy belonging to that man, his guessed this man was at least a Master Adept.
"Katherine, Thomas and Claire, let me introduce him to you guys" smiled Alice as she stood next to the middle aged man, "This is Inspector Edward Muller who was sent by Lakebell's city Adept Association Headquarters. Mr. Muller is a 1-stellar Master Adept. Now, follow me into the cruiser, there is too many people here."
Katherine and Claire were all stunned since they knew how high was the position of Lakebell city among the sixteen cities.
In the territory occupied by humanity, Lakebell city was the strongest and served as the leader among the western border cities, Dexia, Bluewind and Lakebell. Unlike Dexia, Lakebell was a place where a lot of the strong adepts lived, having over twenty Master Adepts leading the association and its teams.
Other than that, Katherine also had an strange expression as she whispered to Thomas.
'I think I know him, he must be the captain's nephew.'
"Mr. Muller." Claire and Thomas froze for an instant before calling out respectfully before following them into the stellar cruiser.
The inspector Muller just nodded and didn't say anything more. His gaze scanned across the group and sighed in surprise before his eyes stopped on Thomas.
"You are Thomas?"
"Right, it is me." Thomas raised his hand, his heart still full of confusion about the man's presence here.
Alice smiled on the side as he looked at Thomas: "Thomas, Inspector Muller rushed to Dexia because of you. As you know about the dangerous situation in A-city's ruins and the imminent disaster to our border cities, the association is organizing an Training Camp for talented young adepts. This training camp has the objective to prepare the younger adept in order to defend the city once the massive dimensional rift breaks loose."
"Right, normally the Azure Garden team only has one spot but then Alice sent me some things which made me want to help. Nonetheless, I believe his talent is even better than what you told me." Edward slightly smiled as he could lightly sense some things about Thomas.
Thomas was still full of confusion. Edward had a calm tone as he spoke. "We are going to Lakebell city for a quick examination since its the first time an adept with heart-attribute has appeared, your methods are actually even more mysterious than this little flame empress."
Once he reached that point, he turned to Claire. "Alice has told me about your situation, and I think it's fine for fine for her to participate too. Since her secrets must be protected, we have decided to give her the Azure Garden's spot. There is an special examination that if Thomas getting a passing mark, he will get a spot in the training camp."
Whoosh! The massive aircraft slowly took flight before dashing into the clouds.
During this period of time, Edward took the initiative to give a briefing about the training camp. "What I'm going to tell is something that hasn't been published yet. This time due to the massive dimensional rift expanding, the Adept King himself is going to participate and give a special lessons to those who stand out in the training camp, maybe even give some precious rewards. I heard some Earthen Adepts sent by Earth's government will also be there."
"Earthen Adepts?" Alice didn't know the alliance was sending some adepts from earth to mars. It must be known the situation on earth due to London's massive sky breach was almost as dangerous as the one on mars since it was there from where the demons first invaded.
Thomas was also curious about the adept training camp and had no reason to deny this opportunity. He already decided to focus on upgrading his physique all the way to level 9 since only at that level could he starting truly enjoying the binits of the system. "Fine, just what kind of examination it be?"
"I don't know, the special exam is different for every adept. That's something you'll have to wait and see."
