After pulling Rodrigar to a safe position, Thomas inspected his cousin and sighed in relief seeing there wasn't any heavy injury, only a few scratches.
Thomas walked in a nearby drugstore and brought a strange bottle with him, he picked a little of the red fluid in the bottle and made Rodrigar who was still in a confused state drink it.
Almost immediately, all the scratches on his face and arm turned fainter and then disappeared, making one guess if those few scratches were even real.
"Are you alright now? I will send you to your home." Taking the lead, Thomas walked towards the direction of Roderigar's house and the latter followed him with his gaze lowered.
Rodrigar felt embarrassed and a bit guilty at the moment. When his cousin needed help the most he stood by and did nothing and then the same cousin was the first to stand up and help him the moment he needed. He didn't even know what to say to Thomas.
Thomas on the other side had some guesses about his thoughts, but continued on walking down the stone path.
Leaving Rodrigar at his aunt's house he headed back, on the way back his senses caught over eight people following him.
They all moved with extreme skill, if it wasn't for his demonic sense Thomas didn't even knew if he could detect them. It wasn't a good idea to confront such people in the streets where they were a lot of civilians so he decided to make a detour to the old candy factory behind his house.
[Master, those eight people all seem to have that same Anima Energy, the feeling it gives is a little different though. Sisi still has few data for now, but those eight seem a little dangerous.]
"Understood." Thomas gave a light nod, if even the system told him that then he should better be careful. A grey veil covered his eyes as he activated his Demonic Sense Skill to the max.
[Demonic Sense]
The candy factory has been abandoned since the owner moved to industrial sector of the city. As soon as he entered the empty factory eight men walked out of the shadows forming a semicircle around Thomas.
They were all dressed in black, with black cloth covering their faces, looking at Thomas with ferociousness in their eyes.
When Thomas observed these people, he couldn't help but draw a cold breath as he saw the eight men around him. All of them were actually Adepts!
Their eyes didn't seem much older than him, maybe two to three years older, with all of them looking much more experienced than both him and Luccas. Depicted by the pure and nearly solid Anima Energy that was radiating around their bodies.
Eight Adepts. In any place in the world, this was already considered a force to be reckoned with and now, this force was right in front of him.
Of the Eight Adepts surrounding them, the one who seemed to be their leader said coldly. "You're that kid Thomas Ries, right? You have done something you shouldn't, and now we are here to give you a beating."
When he said that the other seven black-clad adepts stepped forward, closing the circle around Thomas.
Thomas pursed his lips disdainfully, saying mockingly: "Just you eight? I have seen things far more scary, you few are nothing."
Compared to the deities he met in the memories and the few days of suffering from Zeus' torture, those eight guys seemed almost cute in comparison to the infernal eagle that until his liver time and time again.
"Boys, take action!" The leader knew that they didn't have much time before the police is alerted of the commotion, and they did not want to risk failure so they needed to finish the job as quick as they could.
With that command, the eight Adepts sprung into action, striking out directly at Thomas together. Because of what they heard about this kid none of the men underestimated him and used their Anima energy to cover their bodies offering an extra layer of protection.
As for Thomas, his first action was not to retaliate, instead activating his skill [Swift Feet], Thomas could already feel his body way lighter. And it made it easy for him to dodge the punches directed at him with ease.
The eight men had an extremely good teamwork, with the tacit understanding of a team which had worked together for a long time. It made one wonder just who would send such team of adepts against Thomas, they truly had a high opinion of him.
The two centermost black clad men charged forward directly towards Thomas, a pale yellow light forcing down on him making him feel intense weight.
The last two remained at a distance, had reach out with their hands, and a bolt of red light flew out towards Thomas. When one of the red bolt managed to hit him in the back, he felt like strong force was infused in his body making his internal organs shook, bringing intense pain.
'Whoosh!' When another attacks were about to hit him, an intense yellow light exploded.
The eight men all retracted their attacks and drew back the moment of the light exploded in their faces, blinding them for a split second.
Taking all the energy that was bursting in his body, Thomas felt like a huge tsunami had flooded his body, flowing in all possible paths taking the course of energy determined in the Thirty-five Mystic Rotations.
This energy circulated through the paths, once, twice and it didn't stop.
Once the energy completed all the Thirty-five Rotations Kallen could see all the energy in his body become slightly denser.
The eight adepts didn't expect such changes and immediately attacked.
One released something before countless vines grew from the floor and tied Thomas' feet on the ground firmly as the others positioned behind him while another one attacked from above with a large pillar made with the nearly solid Anima Energy.
Close-combat, ranged-combat, aerial combat. In that moment, Thomas was facing attacks from every single side.
In that single moment he thought. Demonic energy, despite being powerful couldn't do much in this situation. His skills were also that much userful in fights ... Wait!
Thomas recalled the skill he got when seeing the memories of Prometheus. Not the resistance against eagles, but the Titan God's Hand.
"Here goes nothing." Using the all the Anima Energy in his body, he shouted in his mind. 'Activate Titan God's Hand!'
Booooom! A huge hand was manifested right above Thomas' head, breaking the ceiling of the fabric and shocking all the eight Adepts near him.
A ghostly pale red hand was hanging over the heads of Thomas and the others. A thin pale red symbol of a open palm appeared on the back of his hand, and Thomas had the feeling all he had to do was to punch.
Closing his fist from him, he punched at the eight adepts. Some of them felt the danger and retreat as fast they could, while some others did not have the same luck and were hit by a twenty meter tall hand and were shot towards the sky, forming an arc as they flew away.
Seeing how far his punch managed to throw them, Thomas was surprised at the destruction this single skill cause that was able to demolish the whole building in seconds. Then he thought about the guys he just hit before sighing to himself. There is no way Adepts like them could die from such a fall.
Thomas then realizing the size what he just did when seeing the ruins of the factory. "Oh, shit..."
The pale red hand in the air also vanished, as Thomas turned around and flew the place. He didn't want to meet his mother at the police station.
