Chapter 5 - The Rescue and Assult

Ushu flies from tree branch to branch, her heart pounding with urgency as she races towards the Elve Village.

Exhausted, she finally stops at a tree stump, her breath coming in heavy gasps.

"(heavy breathing) Ahh... I'm... still can't go that fast," she admits to herself, frustration evident in her voice.

Ushu continues her determined journey towards the besieged village, her senses alert for any signs of danger. Suddenly, she spots two orcs directly ahead of her. With quick reflexes, she casts a spell on one of the orc's heads, causing it to fall to the ground.

Despite this encounter, Ushu presses on, her resolve unshaken. As she nears the backside of the village, she is met with a daunting sight: a dozen orcs waiting for her, ready to defend their position. Ushu braces herself for the impending confrontation, knowing that the fate of the village depends on her actions.

With determination fueling her every step, Ushu addresses the orcs before her. "Ahh... I... I need to... enter the village... I need to... t-to... kill you all," she declares, her voice trembling with exhaustion and resolve.

Summoning all the strength she has left, Ushu conjures a dark-shaped dagger and swiftly cuts off the heads of the orcs, one by one, until she finally breaches the defenses and enters the village.

"Ahhh... ahhh... I'm inside... guhh... my mana... I can't keep this up... I'm still not recovered from my last fight," she gasps, her breath ragged as she struggles to maintain her magical prowess amidst the chaos of battle.

Amidst the chaos of battle, Ushu relentlessly searches through the village, determined to find the villagers and protect them from the invading orcs. As she navigates through the streets, she encounters pockets of resistance, engaging in fierce combat with the enemy forces and cutting down a multitude of orcs in her path.

Finally, she reaches a critical moment where she discovers the villagers cornered by a group of orcs, their weapons raised menacingly, ready to strike.

"NO, PLEASE SPARE OUR LIVES!" a random villager pleads desperately, fear evident in their voice.

"NO, PLEASE, STOP!" another villager cries out, their voice filled with terror and desperation.

Ushu's heart pounds with urgency as she faces the dire situation before her, knowing that she must act quickly to save the innocent lives at risk.

With a fierce determination burning within her, Ushu grips the dagger tightly in her hands and moves with lightning speed, cutting down the heads of all the orcs surrounding the remaining villagers. In a blur of motion, she swiftly dispatches the enemies, but in doing so, she expends the last reserves of her mana, leaving her drained and weakened.

"It's... is this the end? I'm still... I'm still capable of doing it!" Ushu speaks to herself, her voice filled with both exhaustion and determination.

Struggling to maintain her footing, Ushu tries to get up, but her strength fails her, and she falls to the ground.

The villagers' chief approaches Ushu, concern etched on their face, and gently holds her down, recognizing her valiant effort in defending the village.

"no.. don't force yourself... it's fine, we will protect you... after all, you saved us... we will try our best. We know we are weak, but when we see your bravery, it encourages us elves to fight alongside our brothers and sisters... stay down... we will take care of you," the villagers' chief says reassuringly to Ushu, expressing gratitude for her heroic efforts.

Moved by the chief's words, the elves rise from their seats and gather around Ushu, determined to shield her from harm. With grim determination, they prepare to face the incoming threat.

A dozen orcs emerge from different directions, their anger palpable as they seek vengeance. The elves steel themselves for the imminent battle, ready to defend their village and protect their savior, Ushu, at all costs.

"This is the end for us, my brothers and sisters! Let's unite in another world!" one villager shouts bravely.

"YEAH! SEE YOU GUYS!" another villager echoes, their voice filled with determination.

"I LOVE YOU ALL!" cries out another, their words carrying a sense of farewell.

As the orcs close in on the elves, ready to deliver their final assault, suddenly, a dozen lights appear in the sky, descending rapidly and striking the orcs on their heads. With a collective groan, the orcs fall to the ground simultaneously, defeated by the unexpected intervention.

The elves exchange bewildered glances, marveling at the sudden turn of events, as they realize that they have been saved by a mysterious force.

"What... just happened... they all just fell-" a random villager exclaims, their voice filled with astonishment.

A loud jet-like sound passes above the village, drawing everyone's attention. The jet returns and hovers in the distance, its presence looming over the scene.

"W-What was... that..." another villager stammers, their voice trembling with uncertainty.

Ushu stands up in surprise as she recognizes the human flying craft.

"This message has been converted into your language, and it comes from the Federal Earth Alliance (FEA). In short, we are here to assist you," a voice echoes from the craft, addressing the bewildered villagers.

All of the elves are stunned by the unexpected turn of events, their eyes wide with astonishment.

"What is that coming out of the woods?" a random villager shouts, pointing towards the figure emerging from the forest.

The system's voice responds, attempting to reassure the villagers. "Don't be alarmed. That's my Pilot, in your language. He is my master, Major Drek... and he is a Human."

The elven village is in awe as they watch the human, Major Drek, emerge from the woods, holding something in his hands. Their curiosity and apprehension mingling as they await further explanation.

----------------- Earlier ---------------------

A low-flying jet with incredible speed zooms through the mountainous terrain, its sleek form cutting through the air with precision.

"[Sir, we are almost there. The weapons are ready to fire...]" the system announces.

Drek nods to himself, his focus intense as he scans the landscape below. "Ok, now I need to find a place to deploy on the ground... Ahh, over there," he mutters to himself, spotting a clear patch of ground amidst the rugged terrain.

With swift precision, Drek maneuvers the jet towards the designated area, preparing to make his descent and deploy onto the ground below.

"System, ready the AEDS (Air Emergency Disembark System)."

"[..Yes, Major Drek, AEDS ready..]"

Drek pilots his plane slowly above the trees, carefully calculating his approach as he nears the designated spot.

'Wait... wait... Here!' he shouts in his mind, his heart racing with anticipation.

"Now!"

"[..AEDS, Activated..]"

The underside of the jet seat opens, revealing the deployment system for a soldier pilot: Major Drek. He prepares himself for descent, equipped with impact boots and safety landing packs, or jetpacks.

With precision and agility, Major Drek navigates his descent, aiming for a safe landing on the ground below.

"System, deploy ASD."

"[..Yes, Major Drek. ASD online..]"

(ASD), also called an Armed Service Drone, is a Combat Medic, Spotter, Shield Generator, and Ammo Box with a Mounted MG Tech9 Generation 8 Laser Gun.

"Copy, System. I've received the package. System, continue the mission and get there as soon as possible. I'll exercise for a bit, and then I'll join you."

"[..Yes, Major Drek...]"

Major Drek moves swiftly, his powerful gun making quick work of the dozens of orcs on their way to the village. With each precise shot, he eliminates the approaching threat, ensuring the safety of the villagers.

"ASD, EP Code 4. Scan area," he commands, activating the Emergency Protocol Code 4, reserved for life-or-death scenarios.

"[..Roger... Scan Complete, Clear sector...]" the ASD responds, confirming the area is secure.

Continuing his pursuit into the village, Major Drek receives a communication from the System.

"[...Major Drek, this is System. I'm almost close to the Target. Should I fire now?..]"

"System, Drop them."

"[...Yes, Major Drek, Firing now...]"

Suddenly, a dozen beams of light illuminate the night sky, targeting the designated area with precision.

"[..Major Drek, Mission is Complete. Elves Safe...]"

"System, Send Protocol M-46."

"[..Yes, Major Drek...]"

"Ahh... they are safe. I can finally stand down a little bit... Oh, I can hear System talking to them..." Drek thinks to himself as he emerges from the woods.

Feeling a sense of satisfaction from saving innocent lives, Major Drek can't help but feel a glimmer of happiness inside.

Meanwhile, the elves in the village are still reeling from the intense situation, but Ushu quickly snaps out of it and takes charge, issuing orders to the villagers.

"YOUNG AND ELDER ELVES! PLEASE FOCUS NOW TO SAVE OTHERS AS WE CAN!" Ushu's voice echoes through the village, commanding attention and rallying the elf people to action.

With Ushu's leadership, the elves snap out of their shock and immediately begin mobilizing to save the wounded and extinguish the fires that threaten their village.

As the village springs into action, the events of the Massacre at Southern Elf Village are etched into history.

Meanwhile, Major Drek emerges from the forest, his presence a reassuring sign of support as he continues along the path in front of the Elven Village.

As Ushu sneaks out to observe Major Drek, she watches in awe as he surveys the area, his movements deliberate and focused. When he raises his right arm and makes a circle shape in the air, Ushu's curiosity peaks.

"Wow~ w-what is that in front of Drek... is that a~ MAP!?" Ushu muses to herself.

As Major Drek interacts with the holographic map, Ushu observes with fascination as a multitude of red dots appear on the display.

"This is a lot worse than I expected. I didn't think there would be hidden monsters..." Drek's thoughts echo in Ushu's mind.

Ushu's heart races as she realizes the gravity of the situation unfolding before her, and she watches Major Drek with a newfound sense of respect and determination.

Major Drek's actions are swift and purposeful as he touches his earpiece, issuing commands to the system.

"System, Ready the HV and LBM," he instructs.

"[..Yes, Major Drek. Armed and ready..]" the system confirms.

With his equipment prepared, Major Drek hovers his hand above the holographic map, causing it to fade away. He then calls upon the AEDS for assistance.

"System, Activate Air Assistance for me," he commands.

"[...Yes, Major Drek. Commencing now...]" the system responds, initiating the air support requested by Major Drek.

As the beam of light illuminates the night sky with its vibrant colors, the villagers are captivated by its beauty.

".. LOOK UP THE SKY!.." a random villager exclaims in awe.

".. It's so beautiful.." another villager murmurs, their gaze fixed upon the spectacle above.

However, their reverie is short-lived as the village chief urges them back to action.

"... DON'T STOP NOW! THERE ARE STILL OTHERS OUT THERE, MOVE IT!" the chief commands.

With renewed determination, the villagers refocus their efforts, pushing themselves to aid their fellow elves in need.

As the horde of orcs marches menacingly through the dark forest, their intentions clear, a beam of light approaches them from above. The villagers watch in awe as the beam grows closer and closer to the orcs, its brightness intensifying.

Suddenly, with a deafening explosion, the beam erupts into the sky, transforming into a smaller, concentrated light beam. Descending with remarkable speed, it targets the heads of the orcs with deadly precision. One by one, the orcs are struck down, falling to the ground with the force of the impact.

Meanwhile, in the village, Major Drek observes the scene through his binoculars. With a satisfied nod, he sees the orcs wiped out in a single blow from the LBM, ensuring the safety of the village for the time being.

As Major Drek walks among the elf villagers, his thoughts weigh heavily on the devastation wrought by the orcs. He approaches the fallen elves, their lifeless bodies a grim reminder of the brutal attack.

With a solemn expression, he kneels beside them, his heart heavy with sorrow for their loss. Though he is a human among elves, he shares in their grief and understands the importance of honoring the fallen.

"Rest in peace," he murmurs quietly, paying his respects to those who have lost their lives in the senseless violence.
