Feran and the rest looked at the disappearing village Cheif's back with their jaws dropped, never would have they thought that their first magic class would end just after their introduction.
"What could have happened that made Village Cheif so pale?" Mo asked with a confused face.
"Maybe his wife ran away with another man," Rocky looked at Mo with a smile.
Mo and Feran wobbled their head in disappointment. "You will never understand. Back with your stupid blabbermouth again. If Village Chief heard what you just said, then he will make you run till you are half dead." Mo pointed at Rocky.
Rocky raised his brows, "Don't you dare to tell on me."
A wide smile formed on Mo's face. "I would never." He said in a sarcastic tone.
Rocky widened his eyes, "You punk!" Just when they were about to fight, the twins came in front of them, with disdainful expressions on their faces.
"Give us the paper." They looked at Feran simultaneously.
Feran took in a deep breath through his nose to calm himself down as he could clearly feel the hostility coming towards him by the four eyes.
Not wanting to pick up a fight or disappoint Village Cheif, Feran quietly gave the two papers to both of them.
"We only need one." One of the twins moved his hand ahead and grabbed the paper. Both of them then turned around and started to move towards the Village.
Everybody felt chills at their perfectly synchronised moments.
Even Mo and Rocky forgot about their fight and looked at their departing back with scared expressions.
"I have heard that Twins like them are generally born of the devil. They look creepy." Rocky's whole body shivered as he thought about the devil.
"Haaa... Just as expected, you are a wuss, afraid of two kids, even when you have a mixed affinity like Blood." Mo teased Rocky even though he himself was afraid of the twins.
"Guys, let's stop this stupid fight for now." Before Rocky could answer Mo, Feran's voice stopped him, he then turned his head and looked at Feran. Mo also looked at Feran.
"I think that the thing that made village chief so pale must be somehow connected to the twins."
Mo furrowed his brows at Feran's words. "Why? Do you know what happened at the Village?"
Rocky also had a curious expression, "Yes, tell us, if you know something about what happened in the Village."
Feran shook his head, "No, I don't know what happened at the Village, however, when Village Cheif's face became pale, I accidentally looked at the Twins and they were smiling like they already knew what happened."
"Smiling?" A shiver ran past Rocky's spine as he imagined the solemn and creepy twins smiling face.
"But they have arrived just yesterday. What could they have done to make even Village Cheif Pale?" Mo looked at Feran and Rocky with a questioning gaze.
Feran turned silent for few seconds and after that looked at both of his friends in the eyes. "Let's go home for today, I am sure we will find out if it's something big. But remember to stay careful of the twins." He said and gave away two papers with spells to both Rocky and Mo.
Both of them nodded, "Ok, See you guys later." Rocky said and moved towards his house, while Mo and Feran also started to move towards theirs.
As their houses were in the same direction, they moved together for some time and after few minutes they separated, saying goodbye again.
Feran saw that Village was looking normal, he couldn't spot any major change on his way. 'Why did village chief looked so pale? And what is the connection of it with the Twins?' He had a lot of questions on his mind, however, he sighed and suppressed his curiosity as he knew that if it's something big then he will know eventually.
Reaching his home, he saw his mother was not present there, usually at that time she tends the farms, however, she was gone. He looked everywhere however didn't spot her.
'She must be gone to the market.' In their village, there was a small market with some local vendors, it was nothing special. It was a stretch to even call it a market.
Forgetting about her, he moved inside his room and sitting crossed leg opened the paper that Village Cheif had given to him.
'Master said that this is just a basic spell that helps in storing and emitting the mana particles from one's body, I have to figure out myself to connect this basic spell to my affinity.'
Opening the paper he started reading it and soon enough he found out that it was not a single spell but two, different for both absorbing and releasing.
There was a diagram of a human sitting in a cross-legged position. 'This is the best position for absorbing Mana particles.' Feran read further down, "Closing eyes also helps in sensing the particles better."
Feran nodded and took in a deep breath, "Let me try it first." He decided to use the mana storing spell first.
"Settle..." He chanted and closed his eyes, it was the code word for the spell, the real spell was a small glyph that was shaped like an infinity symbol. He had to continuously imagine the glyph in his mind to keep absorbing the mana particles.
After half an hour of practice, Feran opened his eyes with his brows furrowed because it was very hard to keep imagining the symbol for a long time, it somehow exhausted him, however, there was a very strange occurrence with him.
He looked down at the paper again, "There is written that once I stop imagining the symbol, the mana particles will stop gathering, then why can I still absorb them?" It confused him.
"I just need a bit of effort to absorb them, I don't even need this spell. It is useless for me."
