The Blank Silver Sect, often shortened to just Silver Sect by those on the Zen Gin Peninsula, where widely known as Zen Gin's Protectors. They were the only large scale sect located on the peninsula and took it upon themselves to protect the peaceful land from threats both within and without, a very big reason for the lack of bandits and thieves in the area.
They themselves were part of a larger sect known as the Moon Mirror Assembly, which was in turn connected to a very large organization known as the Scattered Stars Sect.
Within the Scattered Stars Sect and even the rest of the cultivation world, the Blank Silver sect was a bit of an oddity. Its primary purpose was not the same as other sects as it did not focus around any sort of conflict but exclusively to protect the area of the Zen Gin Peninsula.
It was barely as large as a medium sect member wise, and controlled an area on the size of a smaller sect. However the staff and soldiers were sent directly from the Scattered Stars Sect and the Moon Mirror Assembly. They were very strong in comparison to medium and small sects best fighters, leading it to be considered a Large scale sect despite its size. Yet the Blank Silver sect did not focus on training disciples or gathering resources as other sects did, but the peninsula itself.
The Zen Gin Peninsula was the birth place and home of one of the strongest leaders of the Scattered Stars Sect and was founded by that master in order to maintain the peace of his home. It was officially recognized as a neutral sect even though it fell under the purview of the Scattered Stars Sect, but that was really only in name. Everyone fully realized the fact that the amount of disciples it took was far too small even for its already small size, it was really just full of the Scattered Stars Sect's members.
Nobody cared though, there wasn't that much that a sect would want here anyway. No high-ranked beast grounds, no plant refuges, and no deposits of precious minerals. The lack of risk when living here meant there was a serious lack of reward as well.
Zerrin could be considered something of a sheriff to the peninsula, and lived up to the name as one of Zen Gin's Protectors. Many aspiring cultivators of the area had a picture of him as a goal, something of a tradition amongst those who lived in that world. He was often depicted as having a richer shade of Brown hair than he really had and his eyes were always painted to be a more eye-catching and soul-piercing shade of lime green than he thought they looked, though he could see it being that way in a certain light.
He didn't much care what other people thought of him or did with his image, he was too focused on his job and advancing to the next stage on his martial path to worry about it. Not that he was particularly busy in the first place, he had only had to respond to a major emergency once in the past five years. A landslide on the highway leading West had trapped a member of the local royal family and they needed him to lead the rescue.
Admittedly it was not big enough to be called an emergency by his own standards, but then again he was probably strong enough to get hit by the force of the landslide unassisted and brush it off like it was merely dirt on his shoulder. He shouldn't compare himself to those unsuited for cultivation.
Recently, his relatively uneventful and frankly boring life had received some spice in the form of one of his good friend's tragedy. He didn't like the color that it brought in, but he had to admit that the excitement had him in a better mood than he had been in a long time. This was only after the fact though. He too was closely related to the woman who had died, Marlev, and he had cursed himself for being too slow to save her in time.
He had grown up in the Moonsaber Sect with her since they were both five years old and had considered her to be his sister. She was the reason he took this position as well, not only to be close to her but also to help protect her peaceful life, her beauty combined with her harsh mouth and cold demeanor had made a mockery of thousands of large forces, many of whom had suffered heavy losses thanks to her scheming. He never knew when they would try and seek revenge.
On the opposite side of the coin, he never quite understood how the woman he knew the best fell in love with that fool of a man. Not that he minded of course, he thought they might be the most perfect couple in the world, and Jamie had saved his life on multiple occasions.
