Actually, Azrael had given this advice to his father as he planned to deal with the Wilsons within this week, before they set off for Delphia.
So, he did not want his father to spend any more money or resources on this fraudulent mother and daughter.
On the other hand, after excusing themselves from the dining table, Reine and her mother, Mrs Sandra returned to Reine's bedroom to discuss their future plans.
After closing the door, Reine quickly began complaining to her mother about what she had heard.
"Mom, do you know, that dearest father has arranged the engagement between Aelia and the Delphian Crown Prince?
What else could this mean other than he wants Aelia to take the position as the family-head of the Romanovs after his retirement?"
Hearing this, Mrs Wilson frowned.
Reine kept on with her complaints, as she wanted her mother to take some drastic measure to counter Mr Romanov's decision of sending her abroad.
"Mom, you love father so much, but did he ever show any care towards us? Otherwise, as his eldest daughter, shouldn't have I been chosen as the next family head?
I'm sure that those bitches have said something about me to father for him to suddenly act like this and send me abroad! He just wants me away from his daughters!
Mom, even after showing him evidence, that I'm his biological daughter, he didn't care about my wishes at all! I think he still loves Mrs Amelia so much, that he tries to show more love and care towards her children!"
As soon as Mrs Wilson heard this, she showed an extremely annoyed expression on her face.
When Reine saw this, she knew that she had touched her mother's sore spot. She was now confident that her mother would do anything to bring down the Romanov siblings.
So, she continued adding fuel to the fire.
"Mom, after sending me away, Father probably won't meet with you often, as you would have no excuses to come to this mansion! How are you then going to make him fall in love with you and marry him?
I'll be so lonely without you mom! I really don't want to be sent away! I want to have a happy family with you and Father! But, what am I going to do now?"
Mrs Wilson quickly consoled her disheartened daughter.
After hearing what her daughter said, she too felt that things would quickly get out of hands if Reine was sent away.
She patted her daughter's head and asked, "Reine, tell me honestly, do you want to marry the Crown Prince of Delphia?"
Hearing this, Reine showed a demure expression and said while blushing, "Mom, what are you saying? He's already my brother-in-law! Besides, I don't want to leave you and father so soon!"
Hearing this, Mrs Wilson felt frustrated and was about to admonish her daughter, but was interrupted by Reine.
"Mom, I know that you want the best for me! So, if you want me to marry His Highness, I'll do so! It's just that I'll miss you and Father so much!"
When Mrs Wilson heard this, she was finally satisfied.
She held Reine's palms with her hands and cajoled, "Silly girl! Mom, will miss you too! But, you have to let go of us sooner or later! Won't it be great if you become the Crown Princess of a country as great as Delphia?
Besides, I'm sure that His Highness wouldn't refrain you from meeting us occasionally."
Reine tried to control her ecstatic expression on achieving what she wanted.
She pretended to be finally consoled after hearing her mother.
Reine asked in a confused voice, "But, mom what are we going to do? Asher is already engaged with that bitch, Aelia!"
Mrs Wilson showed a cunning smile and said, "So what? We could simply make it so that he'd be disgusted with Aelia and break off their engagement themselves.
Meanwhile, you'll show him how good you are in comparison to Aelia. I'm sure he too would choose the better one between the both of you!
After you become engaged with His Highness, I'm sure Andrew would choose you as his successor to the position of the family-head of the Romanovs."
"Mom, but Asher and Aelia will be returning to Delphia within a week. How are we going to make him change his mind within such a short time?"
Mrs Wilson said with a smile, "Well, I already have a plan and you just have to act accordingly. Tomorrow, both your and Aelia's examination results for graduation are about to come out! We'll take this opportunity and show the Crown Prince that you are academically so much better than that bitch!"
Hearing this, Reine had a complicated expression on her face.
She said with some frustration, "Mom, but, I don't know, how that bitch, Aelia always gets the highest marks in our course! How would we prove to Asher then that I'm better than Aelia?"
Mrs Wilson reassured her daughter.
"Don't worry! I'm sure that she usually gets the highest marks because of the support from the university's Dean of Sciences. I have insider news that she'll be away tomorrow!
Besides, I have some connections with the Head of the Chemistry department who has been newly recruited by the university. He'll make sure that you'll get the highest marks in the Chemistry department tomorrow."
Hearing her mother's plans, Reine was extremely delighted. She couldn't wait to bring Aelia down.
Thus, she happily went downstairs to invite Asher to tag along with her and Aelia to the Phillon National University tomorrow, on the pretext of showing him the university that his fiancée used to study in.
However, Reine failed to meet with Asher and was informed that he had already taken Aelia out on a date.
Though Reine felt extremely jealous on hearing this news, she consoled herself thinking, 'Hmph! I'll let you enjoy the last sweet moments with His Highness! Because from tomorrow, he'll despise you so much that, you'll never get to see his face again!'
