Chapter 34 - Chapter 34 False mate.

Arielle kept on staring with her mouth wide open and her eyes as if it wants to pop out of its socket. The man was naked...wait didn't he know he was naked in front of a total stranger, I mean she liked what she was seeing but still...wait did she just admit to liking his naked body? when did she become such a pervert?

"I don't know you are the one staring at me like one," He said with a grin.

Arielle could have sworn she didn't say that out loud and there was certainly no way he could mind link her there were of different species it's impossible because he answered her via mind link. She gathered her thoughts before speaking to the nude man.

"I hate to be the carrier of obvious news but I will...you are NAKED!" Arielle screeched.

"And you like what you see" He winked at her. Arielle blinked her eyes a few times to make sure she wasn't dreaming, the man standing before her was just too shameless.

"And very beautiful, I mean look at me...if beauty was a person I am sure it would be me am even prettier than you" He added shamelessly. Arielle was lost for words truly he was extremely handsome or if we are been sincere he was beautiful because of his feminine features, his shiny red hair, good looking nose, angular chin, rosy lips, dark brown eyes, perfect skin, biceps, and a good height, he was beautiful but it was not enough reason for him to be so...annoying.

"You are the most egotistical, self-conceited, narrow mind, self absolved..."

"Beautiful" He put in.

"Yes beautiful bastard I have ever encountered...wait I didn't..." before Arielle could correct herself He started laughing.

"Thanks for the compliment I know am beautiful hahaha" he mocked her Arielle felt like she has had enough of him for one night so she turned to leave.

"Arielle don't be like that am just messing around, come to my place and have tea with me if not I'll tell the other Guardians you were mean to me," He said with a pout.

The word Guardian was enough to make Arielle halt in her step so this was the almighty leader of the assembly, guardian of foxes, she didn't like him but she was willing to try because he was the first Guardian she has met after Rukky and he was important, although she taught the leader of such an assembly would be more serious-minded.

"You are the Guardian of the nine-tailed huh?" Arielle asked. She turned towards him but he was already wearing pants thankfully, maybe he could read minds she needed to work on her mind shield at least he finally hushed with the self appraiser. She followed him to a huge mansion she was surprised how he was able to hide it...well not like anyone would come to such a thick forest.

"I am shocked I thought you might be living in a hole or something since digging is a fox thing " Arielle mocked.

"Am a very modern fox I like comfort and digging will mean my claws having dirt in them, am too beautiful for such uncivilized behaviors" He replied promptly.

"Again with the beauty talk, how did you know my name was it Rukky?" she asked.

"What you are sensitive about the fact I know your name...fine am Orion now you know mine you don't see me acting sensitive," Orion responded with a smirk.

Arielle frowned"am not sensitive am just asking."

Orion smiled it was fun to tease her, for many years he had waited for this moment...to be with her and show her love but now he was teasing her maybe he didn't expect her to be so free and nice to him.

"Met Mailo, my handmaid." Orion introduced.

Mailo's face turned sour instantly, Orion could have used servant, help, Butler, or even slave but he chose to use handmaid. Arielle laughed at his facial expressions somehow she felt like a different person here with no care at all in his company.

All night she and Orion chatted like buddies teasing each other, she felt lighter around him for some awkward reason, she didn't remember what made her so upset.

Orion was happy Arielle and him clicked instantly she spoke freely to him and he did same it was like they had known each other all their lives, he had waited patiently for this day to come he had sacrificed a lot for this to be perfect he had been so nervous that he would mess it up but when he met Arielle he didn't find the need to pretend he was himself and she liked him.

He couldn't believe all this was happening in one night. He occasionally blushed anytime Arielle mentioned his name and she would shamelessly tease him about it saying he was having lewd thoughts about her.

"You are the pervert, not me...you need to see your face when I call your name oh Orion, uhoo Orion, sweet Orion!," she teased and the centuries-old fox would smile, everything was happening so fast but Orion wanted to take things slow so it could last longer.

It was past three o'clock in the morning when Arielle decided to leave, Orion offered to walk her back to her territory but she declined she told him she would be there in a matter of minutes and he probably won't be able to catch up, he agreed to let her go alone but sent a friend to guide her although she was not aware. He didn't let her go through the part from which she came for security reasons.

Arielle forgot about Brian and the ruff night she had she slept like a baby that night.

Back at Elio hills...

"When will you tell her," Mailo asked.

"I don't know, I don't think I want to tell her, "Orion admitted.

Malio furrowed his eyebrows " but she deserves to know and it would make everything easier for you!" he indicated.

Orion smiled his handmaid didn't understand what he was doing.

"I don't want easier, I want long-lasting if I tell her we are true mates she will feel pressured she is still dealing with the jerky false mate, I want her to fall in love with me... naturally the true mate bond will pull us together but I bet she wouldn't believe we are mates cause she already has a mate," Orion explained.

Malio understood perfectly what his master was saying but he felt sad because his master had watched Arielle from the shadows like a creep for years without interfering in her life unless necessary, bared the pain of seeing his true mate struggle to make her relationship with her false mate work and now that he had the opportunity to be with her he wants to take it slow. Mailo was glad he didn't have a mate it was more difficult than he assumed.
