-FLASHBACK-
Unknown to Ben her life was in danger, he didn't know about the deal his mate made with the commander because he wasn't allowed to get any closer, he just knew his mate was smart and would get them the best deal which she did and when the minotaur's commander came to him with peace talk he felt proud of his mate they will all leave even though they lost a few of their kind, the war was over.
Dora mind linked her pack members to leave and attend to their families, they did so without questioning her cause they thought the minotaurs wouldn't hurt her but Alan and Ben stayed. Dora mind linked her husband and brother to leave and restore order to the park, and tell her son that she loved him.
It was at this point ben understood the deal, she wasn't included she must die for wearing what belonged to a god and he won't allow it a few members that didn't leave stood up ready to protect their luna but Dora told them it was her decision and breaking a blood pact had dire consequences so they should leave her.
Ben was in a frenzy if he hurt a minotaur the same pain will be inflicted on a member of his park and if he didn't he will lose his mate, he was going crazy he couldn't let them take his wife, never. Dora could feel his agony she spoke through their mind link.
"Benny someone needs to be there for our son be strong you have to be."Dora mind linked him as tears followed freely from her eyes.
"No Never! let me take your place I can't leave without you... " Ben replied, tears freely flowed down his eyes.
Dora's mind linked her brother-in-law, talking to her mate was hopeless.
"Take him away put him in chains don't let him go feral please." she pleaded as Alan and the rest of the park warriors dragged the shifting Ben, he was going crazy it took all eighteen of them to hold him down as his mate was being taken into the mountain.
The mountain open and swallowed all the minotaurs and Dora, after a while of trying to calm Ben down and putting him on chains he became calm, too calm.
Brian was allowed to see him give him emotional support but he looked as if he couldn't see his son, he was always staring into space. Brian felt terrible he missed his mom and dad even though his dad was with him he was different he was hurting and couldn't talk about it to anyone he felt alone and sad but there was light at the end of the tunnel he's dad was with him.
But everything changed on the last day when the whole park felt the pain of their Alpha he wailed cried and broke the chains.... wailing was terrible for humans but for a werewolf who just lost his soulmate, felt their bond disconnect it was a feeling worst than death it was like having your heart ripped apart but you can't do a thing about it, like been strangled but still breathing bail rising to your throat, tears not been enough to ease your pain, a need to be with your mate hold her, love her and never let go.
The park knew that their heroic luna was gone, Brian knew he would never see her again and worst of all they might never bury her body, the park members didn't eat for days their Alpha had gone feral they had lost it all.
A ceremony was performed to honor the fallen luna. It took months before Ben shifted to his human form and when he did he wanted to see his boy, Brian was overjoyed, no feral wolf ever came back to normal, the park was happy, Alan was happy, his brother was back.
After talking to Brian and telling him to be strong and listen to his uncle much to Brian's confusion Ben told his brother he needed to go for a run and he was allowed to cause it has been months.
But what they did not anticipate was he's running towards the enchanted mountains calling out the mountain god to give him his mate to bury only Alan and Brian that followed him secretly. Alan shifted and went after his brother as Brian followed on foot cause he hadn't shifted yet.
Ben kept on challenging the mountain god calling names, like a coward, weakling an unfair god, wicked, Alan increased his pace to stop his brother from the suicide mission, but to no avail, Ben was way ahead and was already in the mountain god's territory, then the most shocking thing happened.
The mountain god appeared even though Alan and Brian could only see a bright light, Alan was able to get a glimpse of the god's tail, one of his tails Yes the mountain god was a rear nine-tailed fox, a gumiho but no one has ever seen him expect his creations.
In one swift move, Ben was up high in the god's hands his feet above the ground his life force had been drained from him. When Alan saw this he fell on his knees and bent his head, he also saw Brian do the same... the god was compelling them to show submission and respect, both Alan and Brian couldn't see what the god was doing to Ben, Alan only hoped they survived this.
In no time everything was normal Alan and Brian moved their bodies and tried to understand their environment but was brought out of their confusion by the dying Ben, both rushed to his side to help him but poor Ben was breathing his last and with all his strength he tried to say something with his eyes fixed on the canopy of the tree they were under he said: "Finally with you mate..." .....
Those were his last words, not I love you, son, take care of my child, none of that, the words that would forever hunt Brian ...a scar on his heart for life... before Alan could comprehend what had happened, in their very own eyes Ben disappeared into tin air.
It was a sudden action that scared the both of them, it turns out the mountain god didn't want anybody to obtained any magic he used in killing Ben.
After a while of crying and consoling Brian, Alan led him out of the mountain god's territory back to the park where he narrates a different tale different from what happened...
