Chereads / Lady Nosferatu and the wolf girl / Chapter 21 - Chapter 21

Chapter 21 - Chapter 21

Narration by Ms Margaret Dracken

October 13, 1987

For three months, the bloody fang had been hiding out in Venice.

But, we had not forgotten the events that had happened back in Paris.

"I think it's time to move on," said Elizabeth, "The crowds are not as big as they used to be."

"Yeah," said Florence, "I miss our fans."

"Well," said Felicia, "You're right. Maybe it is time to move on. Any ideas where we want to go next?"

"Hmm," I said, "How about London? They love us over there."

"Yeah," said Jessica, "Let's go to London. I heard the crowds are good there. It would be nice to get back to work."

"Alright," said Elizabeth, "It's decided. Let's go to London."

We packed up our things and rolled out coffin out the door.

"I've been thinking. Maybe we should cover the coffin with fire proof material. Just in case those hunters ever find us again. We should do anything possible to protect ourselves and the ones we love."

"That's a good idea," said Felicia, "I agree. The last thing we need is the coffin catching fire. Then, we would really be screwed."

"Yes," said Elizabeth, "That's a good idea."

After we arrived in London, we covered the coffin with asbestos cloth.

"Alright," I said, "This is good. The hunters won't be able to burn the coffin anymore. But, we should still keep an eye out for them. I don't want to take any chances. So, let's go out and have some fun. We will worry about business later. For now, let's just enjoy the moment."

"A quick game of poker?"

"Sure," said Elizabeth, "Sounds good."

We played poker for a while and enjoyed some beer.

Then, we decided to go out and enjoy the night.

"Come on," I said, "Let's see a show."

"Yes," said Felicia, "I'm up for a show."

"What about you guys," I asked Florence and Jessica, "Want to go?"

"You bet! Come on Jessie, let's go!"

"Yeah," said Jessica, "I'm in."

We went to a concert hall and saw a performance of Mozart's Don Giovanni.

"Wow," said Elizabeth, "This is great."

"Yes," said Felicia, "It is."

"Mozart was one of the greatest composers of all time. No one can deny that."

"I agree," said Elizabeth, "I love his music. He was a true genius."

"Yeah," I said, "I like his music too."

After the performance, we went to a fancy restaurant.

"Hello," said the owner, "Welcome. What can I do for you ladies?"

"Hello," I said, "We would like to have some food. I'll have a steak and potatoes."

"Okay," he said, "Anything else?"

"Yes," said Felicia, "I'll have some spaghetti and meatballs."

"Okay," he said, "What would you like?"

"I'll have some lobster," said Elizabeth, "and a salad."

"Alright," said the owner, "Coming right up."

He took our orders and went into the kitchen.

"This is a nice place," said Elizabeth, "Thanks for bringing us here."

"No problem," I said, "You are the best girlfriends a girl could ask for."

"Well," said Felicia, "This is a beautiful restaurant. And, the food looks delicious."

"Yeah," said Elizabeth, "It is. When is our next concert? We should be working, not playing poker and getting drunk all the time."

"Oh, don't worry," I said, "We have a few weeks before our next gig. We can afford to have some fun."

"Okay," said Felicia, "But, we shouldn't forget our duties. We have a lot of fans out there. They are counting on us."

"Yeah," said Elizabeth, "Don't forget, this is a job. Not just a hobby."

"Don't worry," I said, "We are professionals. We are not going to forget our fans. Now, let's eat. This food looks delicious."

After dinner, we walked around the city and enjoyed the night air.

"This is nice," said Elizabeth, "Walking in the fresh air is so refreshing."

"Well girls, what shall we go see first?" I asked.

"Let's see a movie," said Felicia, "It's been a long time since we saw a good film."

"Yeah," said Elizabeth, "Sounds good."

We went to a movie theater and saw a horror film.

"Wow," said Felicia, "This is so scary."

"Yeah," said Elizabeth, "I agree."

The film was about a killer stalking young women.

"I don't like this," said Jessica, "It reminds me too much of the real world."

"Yes," said Florence, "It's a little disturbing."

"I agree," said Elizabeth, "It's kind of dark and disturbing."

After the movie, we went home.

"That was scary," said Elizabeth, "but, fun."

"Yes," said Felicia, "It was a good movie. What did you think?"

"I thought it was a good movie," said Jessica, "but, like you said, a little disturbing."

I finished adding another layer of asbestos cloth and then covering it with some metal.

"There," I said, "That should be enough protection. It won't be easy for anyone to break in."

"I hope you're right," said Florence, "This is getting more serious by the day. The hunters are becoming more determined. We can't afford to lose another fight. We have to stay one step ahead of them."

"Well," I said, "It should be enough protection. I know you girls are scared because of that movie, but don't worry. It's only a movie, it can't hurt you. Besides we all sleep together in the same coffin. Even if someone did break in, we could take them together."

"Yes," said Felicia, "Don't forget, we are the bloody fang. Nothing can stop us. We are the strongest coven of vampires and werewolves in the world. So, don't worry, nothing bad will happen to us. We will get through this."

"I hope you're right," said Florence as she climbed into the coffin, "It's getting close to feeding time this month, I can feel the hunger building. Soon, I won't be able to control it and will turn into a wild animal."

"We can feed tomorrow night. I promise. There is no need to lose control tonight. We have a few more hours before sunrise."

"Goodnight," said Felicia, "Don't let the bedbugs bite."

"Goodnight," we all said, "Sleep tight."

We closed the lid and locked the coffin.

I kissed Felicia good night as Florence snuggled up next to me.

"Goodnight sis. I love you."

"Love you too. Sleep well."

"You too."

Florence rested her head on my chest as I closed my eyes.

The next night, we had killed a couple of victims.

We drank their blood and disposed of the bodies but dumping them in the River Thames.

After what happened back in Paris, we decided it was best not to leave bodies at the crime scene.

"That's the last of them," I said, "Are you girls ready to go home? It's almost morning. We need to get some sleep."

"Yes," said Felicia, "I'm exhausted."

"Me too," said Elizabeth, "I could use some rest."

"Alright," I said, "Let's go home."

"Can we go see the Tower of London tomorrow night?" Asked Florence.

"Sure," I said, "That sounds good."

We arrived back at our hotel and crawled into the coffin.

"Goodnight," said Jessica, "Have a good sleep."

"Goodnight," we all said, "See you tomorrow."

Jessica rested her head on my shoulder and gave me a kiss.

"I love you," she whispered.

"I love you too," I said.

Jessica smiled and closed her eyes.

Elizabeth snuggled next to her as Felicia rested her head on my chest.

I stroked her soft hair as Florence curled up next to me.

"Goodnight," I whispered, "Sweet dreams."

The following night we went to the Tower of London.

"Wow," said Florence, "This is incredible."

"Yeah," said Felicia, "It's amazing."

"Yes," said Elizabeth, "And, this is a great place to get away from the craziness of the city. There's something about this place that is calming. Almost like being in a different world."

"Yeah," said Jessica, "It's a great place."

After visiting the Tower, we went to the British Museum.

"This is interesting," said Felicia, "These are ancient artifacts from all over the world."

"Yes," said Elizabeth, "It's fascinating."

"Yeah," said Jessica, "It's pretty cool."

After touring the museum, we went home.

"That was a good night," said Jessica, "Shall we play some poker before bed?"

"No," I said, "We need to go to sleep. We have a busy day tomorrow. We are playing a show at Wembley Stadium. It's going to be a big crowd. So, we need to get some rest."

"Alright," said Felicia, "let's go home."

The next night, we headed to Wembley Stadium.

"Here we go," said Elizabeth, "Our big show. Are you girls ready?"

"Yeah," said Felicia, "I'm pumped."

"Let's do this," said Florence, "Showtime!"

"Yeah," said Jessica, "Let's rock!"

As we made our way to the stage, I heard the crowd cheering.

Jessica began with a drum solo.

"Whooo!" Yelled the audience.

"One two three go!" I said as I play my guitar.

Florence did her best to play along with her guitar, despite having such tiny hands.

"Yeah," yelled the crowd, "Bloody fang! Bloody fang! Bloody fang! Bloody fang!"

I couldn't help but smile.

I had never seen a crowd so enthusiastic.

We played a few more songs and then took a bow.

The audience cheered and clapped.

"Thank you," said Elizabeth, "Thank you."

"Goodnight," I said, "We love you all. Goodnight."

The audience continued to cheer as we left the stage.

"Wow," said Felicia, "That was crazy. I've never seen a crowd like that."

"Yeah," said Elizabeth, "They were amazing. The crowd was great, just like back in Paris."

"Well we could go back to Paris for one more show and then we can tour Europe. After that we can move on to Japan. That would be a great way to end the year. I think they would love us over there."

"That's a great idea," said Elizabeth, "Let's do it."

We packed up our things and made our way back the hotel.
