Chapter 351 - Mitus. (3)

Combat on the left side started earlier than the right side, when Fim, Nolan, and Tania were still advancing towards the smugglers, Quinn had already used large-scale earth element magic.

She threw a fist-sized storm of earth and rocks at the five warriors who were protecting that side and the two wizards who were on top of the chariots. Obviously, Quinn's magic didn't have much offensive power as she didn't have much time to cast it, her goal being to draw the attention of those who were hit by her magic.

The rocks that were luckier to hit the warriors and one of the mages won't even deal significant damage, their pack strength had the strength of a normal black core warrior's punch, the fire mage that was hit by two rocks had the highest chance of being hurt by these stones, but as he had a low-level defensive tool the stones were blocked by a thin blue shield.

When the warriors and mages were recovering from Quinn's magic that hit them right after the explosions, Quinn had already prepared her second spell.

This time she raised a low wall two meters wide that protected her and Abel who released a blueprint of aura and elemental energy against the fire element mage that was covered by a thin magical barrier. Impressive skill, and very difficult for a warrior to be able to do it seems that Abel not only has good control over his elemental energy but also his aura and it takes a lot of training to combine them in this type of attack.

I know he must be a year or two older than me, but reaching that skill level isn't easy, green core warriors have a hard time making a move like that, even after traveling several meters the blueprint they had. its shell formed by a semi-solid aura was still somewhat stable. If it hadn't been for the interference of the shield that was thrown at the project intercepting it, I believe it would have hit the mage squarely.

The shield that hit the light, wind and aura project was repelled away when Abel's project exploded, this was quite unfortunate for the posture and action of protecting himself behind the earth wall that Abel did. He shouldn't be able to use this art a lot of feces, it seems like it takes a good amount of energy and concentration from him to perform.

The wind and fire mage will attack the earth wall at the same time, but as their spells were as tight as Quinn's first spell, they didn't have much destructive power and not much aim. If their target hadn't been so big, they would probably have missed if they were aiming at a person and not a two meter long, and almost a meter and a half in height hard rock wall.

The damage from fire and wind magic was minimal, barely able to damage the surface of the dark rock wall Quinn had lifted. She's really good at defensive spells besides manipulating structures and terrain, but on second thought making a shelter quickly is nothing more than raising several walls or hardening the earth for her to become a defensive barrier and basically basic defensive spells using them more creatively and complicated.

Unfortunately for Abel and Quinn there is one archer who was not wounded on that side, both he and the mages will continue to attack the defensive barrier that protected Quinn and Abel while the other four warriors charge at them to attack Quinn and Abel.

But luckily for them the fire mage yelled at them to back off because he thought there might be more explosives, for him it didn't make sense to just have a clearly defensive mage and a warrior with a hammer attack them alone. Obviously, this was a trap and as he yelled the word bomb when he ordered the warriors to retreat, he must think there was another line of explosives between them and the enemy.

A very smart and cautious decision, but unfortunately for him there wasn't even a trap like that. Not that I didn't want to do that, but unfortunately my skills at arranging runes aren't good enough to do this, to be able to do that I'd have to be able to make runic arrangements harder to be able to get so close to the initial explosions without running. the risk of being affected.

But they don't know this as Quinn and Abel buy more time to keep them busy, when the fire and wind mages go to unleash yet another wave of attacks likely targeting the ground between the two groups to try to destroy or trigger any traps they have. there may be hidden there.

Just before they threw fireballs and blades of wind across a large area, Quinn unleashed her offensive magic targeting the mages. She fires a wave of large boulders at the mages, sends more than eight large boulders at the panicked enemy mages.

This magic is not very strong in fact it is very weak, the rocks can have a good ability to do damage, but they are very slow and their trajectory is not difficult to notice but this makes the smuggler mages forced to unleash their magic against them not only to defend themselves as they could easily dodge it if they didn't have to protect the two wagons which must have a good amount of valuable items.

I doubt Mitus will be happy if their contraband is damaged, this fear has made the wind and fire mages unable to do anything more than aim their fireballs and wind blades at the rocks and hope it's enough to change. the trajectory of Quinn's magic.

The clash between three spells ended up with a good result for both parties, this is not something that normally happens. Quinn's rocks were deflected away from the carriage, but ended up hitting one of the warriors who was holding a hammer the poor guy was targeted by three boulders making him unable to dodge them as their speed ended up increasing after being hit by explosions of fireballs.

Normally he should be able to sweat out his ax and aura to protect himself from attacking a rock like this, but as there were three of them and Quinn was very hard on them and he wasn't expecting the blow, he ended up being hit by two big rocks. Even though I was far away I could see his leg bone breaking when he was crushed to the ground.

He didn't die, but he won't be able to fight anymore today. One less.

After that there are some more exchanges between the three mages, but it turned out that Quinn was not able to stop the mages from hitting the ground between the wall and the smugglers any longer, confirming that there wasn't any kind of trap to blow up the smugglers. Because of that the four warriors advanced like frantic wolves towards Quinn's rock wall.

There may not be a trap to attack the warriors, but there was a mage and a warrior to do that, Abel came out of the cover of the wall and released a wave of light against the warriors who were preparing to dodge her, but when she only showed herself to be an aria blow they will try to protect themselves only to be hit by a wave of harmless light.

Realizing they had been tricked they rushed forward only to be hit by a wave of earth that exploded in front of them engulfing them and this time they were not prepared to defend themselves. Quinn's magic shouldn't be capable of killing or seriously injuring either of them, but it's more than enough to bury them for a while.

Quinn and Abel will retreat back leaving the protection of the rock wall causing the mages to attempt to hit them with higher potency magic, and this was my moment to interfere. The two mages were focused on casting their spells and I fired an explosive arrow at the wind mage closest to my position.

As my arrow approached the fire mage the wind mage released a concentrated gust of wind preventing my arrow from hitting his companion who realized this and focused on hitting Quinn and Abel with a hail of fire darts.

Everyone focused on the explosion that happened when my explosive arrow was hit by the wind mage's impromptu gust of wind and the fire darts hitting and destroying an earthen wall Quinn quickly erected.

But no one noticed that there was a new player on the screen field, the fight on that side was much longer than on the opposite side where I shot my first wind arrow before I sweated the explosive arrow. Nolan pierced the wind mage killing him instantly without losing almost any momentum as the wind mage had no protection at all against an enemy hidden behind his back.

His focus was on saving his colleague and not his safety, Nolan charged towards the fire mage covered in aura and wind element energy. Realizing he was being attacked at such close range the fire mage obviously didn't try to just hold back by summoning an explosive fireball as he leapt down for protection from me and away from the spearman.

Nolan did something I didn't expect as I prepared to interfere again, he threw his spear like a javelin hitting the fire elemental mage as he dropped down. Nolan killed the fire mage by losing his weapon in the process and had to jump down the same way the mage tried to do, but luckily for him there wasn't even a smuggler able to attack him at that point.

The nearest smugglers have just gotten up after being buried under a wall of earth when the ground beneath them appears to have given way. Quinn's magic seems to have been more complicated than it looked.

When they realized that they were in the shit as in front of them there was a wall of earth, a mage and a warrior while there was a spearman behind them who had just recovered his weapon that was stuck in the mage who protected them and also there was an archer prepared to attack them.

I think they are considering surrendering now as it looks like one side of their caravan has been defeated or eliminated by their enemies.
