Chapter 192 - Test in the emerald forest. (14)

I really feel like my luck only has two modes and both are at the extremes of the luck scale, I'm very lucky then very unlucky. I start off with luck when I managed to bring together five people with gray cores at different stages and that their abilities don't cancel each other out and even at times they can work in synergy, and among these five people I have Hilda.

But now I just lost three spots on my team and I will have to intensify my conflict with the elves, I don't have a doubt that when my team beats up these elves, it will have negative repercussions in the future. If the rest of the elves don't attack me even more cruelly during the test, but if I don't suffer during this test, I'm sure there must be a dozen elves who are still going to try to get in trouble with me.

It's funny that the whole reason for this conflict is not my fault, this is the first big problem I have that I really am the victim and that the conflict will only get worse because I don't want to be a victim. The more I resist the role of being a victim I predict that my conflicts with the elves will only get more intense, and so hate is born between people who don't even know each other very well.

With everything ready I just expected the elves to start making their move against the three lures, but they are strangely calm and patient. Too bad for them I don't have the patience to wait for them to make a move.

I decided to make the first move, I used the same strategy I used in the first part of the test, as I approached the elf, I could see that his equipment was slightly different from what I expected. Not only is he a fighter in light leather armor, but he is equipped with throwing knives is a short sword and not a shield, and they are actually having a style of an assassin is not a more common fighter.

Perhaps it's better to describe it as a style of a scout and hunter than assassin as neither one of them has the shadow element or is able to hide their elemental aura and energy, only a person who really is able to completely hide and be able to exploding into offensive power can be considered a real killer. But unfortunately, being born with all the ingredients to be a killer is not so common.

As I didn't mean to be nice to the elves as they made it clear they want to screw with me, so I start preparing my regular knife that I borrowed from Hilda, but even a regular Hilda knife is more useful and better quality than the sword I had gotten from the fat warrior before, I calmly energized it with my fire element and a little wind to increase the piercing ability. I made this choice to seriously injure the elf without getting him badly hurt, yes this is complicated.

I can't really hurt him, but I have to hurt him enough that he can't move anymore, but if he stays still, he should be able to recover enough not to die after I leave him here. I aim to eliminate his participation in this test, I found this appropriate as they are trying to end my participation in this phase of the test.

My attack was quick and silent, with one of my arms I covered his mouth with a cloth and pulled his body backwards, while my knife pierced cauterizing a hole between one of his ribs, but I was careful not to hit him full and severely injure some of your internal organs.

I kept him tight and talked to him.

"Don't resist or I'll stab you a few more times, really piss me off and I'll cut off one of your hands after I knock you down, if your friends piss me off, you'll wake up without your eyes. Are you going to give up or am I going to have to mutilate you?"

His lack of reaction must mean he gave up, so I just kept the cloth over his face until he passed out, but when he's passed out, I haven't let my guard down. I slightly rotated the knife that was still etched into his body and that made him struggle, but since I hadn't loosened my grip, he was only able to struggle a little, as when he started, I knocked him to the ground using my weight, I held him until he actually passed out from lack of oxygen.

I tied him up and started to move towards the second target that Mauro was watching, but it's a shame that in my way Hilda, Vanessa and Amael arrived at the stone altar and this caused the two still awake elves to make their move against the three. It's a shame that in doing so they were attacked by Mauro and Nathan, neither of the two was able to subdue their target, but they were able to hurt them well.

Nathan cut deeply into the elf's shoulder, but Mauro was able to pierce the leg of one of the elves and pierce his shoulder when the elf tried to run away from him. I thought Nathan would be better at ambush than Mauro, but reality proved different, I intercepted the escape of the elf Mauro was chasing.

I hit the elf in the face with my fist, I managed to do it because the elf jumped towards me running away from Mauro and I was still hidden and was only revealed when I fired like a bullet at the elf. I felt like I broke the elf's jaw with this blow, I had no intention of doing that, but when the elf basically used his face as a shield, I didn't have many options, it was to hit him in the face or bump into him and roll in the floor what is a very silly thing to do, he can have a knife is stab me when we fall to the ground.

The last elf was surrounded by Nathan, Vanessa, Hilda and Amael who had created high earthen walls to block the unlucky elf's exit routes. It's really unlucky for them to find a group twice the size of their group and that their ambush worked against them, if they were together, it would have been a much harder task to defeat them.

I approached the injured elf who had just tried to jump over one of the earthen walls and ended up getting his leg injured, it was a bad move and very stupid to try to run away, but despair makes people make that kind of mistake. Amael detonated the wall in a stone trap wounding the elf's leg when he tried to use it as support to jump over it and probably tried to jump between the trees in the forest to escape.

Now surrounded on all sides and seeing me dragging one of his companions who is unconscious and blood pouring out of his mouth, he almost despairs. If he didn't remember that during this test it was forbidden to kill, he would probably take his own life or attack us in a suicidal way, before I can speak, he yelled at us.

"I quit! Remember that on this test, students are not allowed to love others."

That's one of the worst ways to surrender, when you surrender and it's never smart to be too proud or antagonize your captors like he did. His words might sound like a warning not to hit him anymore, but his tone made it sound more like a threat, which makes a lot of sense since we're all being watched by the examiners right now.

"You should be more polite to those who have defeated you, elf. Especially when I'm the one who decided your future, do you recognize me?"

It didn't take the elf long to recognize me, the fear that crossed his face was very quickly taken over by anger.

"You! What you did today will only make your punishment even greater!"

He's an arrogant noble that kind of people are very irritating, whether he's an elf or it doesn't matter. An arrogant nobleman and the only explanation that justifies a stupid reaction like his, he makes it seem like I should bow to their family is to ask forgiveness for my 'sins'.

"Mauro is going to get the last elf, I left him tied up and just drag him here, but don't be too violent with his body. I stabbed him deeply, it wouldn't be nice if his wound got bigger or ruptured, if he died it would suck to us."

I turn to the enraged elf.

"Well, good morning. How is your test going? Are you meeting with more friends or was it just the three of you who got together by luck?"

"Fuck off! I won't tell you anything, you can't hurt me anymore!"

"If I, were you, I wouldn't be so sure about that."

A look of astonishment appeared on the elf's face.

"If you hurt me more you will be breaking the rules of the exam! Your tricks don't work on me, human!"

Is human to him an insult or is he just a racist elf?

"That rule does exist, but it doesn't necessarily apply to our current quote. Since I was forced to leave my equipment outside and added the order that was given to you prior to this exam, in case you are confused I mean the order to target me during the test."

"The rules of conflict between me and the elves are slightly different. Surprised?"

The fear that showed on the elf's face turned to anger and indignation as I finished my threat, which is obviously a blatant lie, but I doubt he thinks so.

"Then kill me! I want to see if you have the courage to do this!"

"When did I say I would kill you? I just intend to torture you a little and maybe cut off your hands or feet as punishment for messing up my test."

I pull out my blade and start to approach him, but obviously this is a trap on my part. The moment he leapt towards me with his short sword in a desperate and suicidal move, I recoiled with a burst of my wind element with my speed I was out of the elf's reach completely.

The elf who tried to hurt me was buried by two waves of earth that Amael had prepared to immobilize him. It didn't take long for the earth-buried elf to get his head back to the surface, but his body was still buried in a boulder that Amael is hardening to make sure the elf is immobilized.

"Well, it looks like you lost complete you, comfortable there?"

Now all threats are neutralized, but now I have another problem to solve. How am I going to deal with these elves?

I can't kill them or rip out a part of their body, but there's still some information I'd like to get out of him. Too bad the only elf awake is pretty stubborn and probably a little racist.
