In my fog I find myself unarmed, my main weapons like mine sword and bow have disappeared, even my secondary weapons like my daggers that I hide in my boot and waist have disappeared. I have nothing on my body but my ripeness.
The examiner may have warned that the test would test my limits, but I didn't expect it to leave me unarmed I admit I attach great importance to my equipment but I don't believe my colleagues are any different so why didn't the examiner say we could end up unarmed he gave several test examples, but he didn't comment on the matrix taking our weapons.
Anyway, my enemy is coming towards me I can only look at her silhouette formed in the mist, she is small and strangely humanoid. A small green creature shoots running from the fog, the goblin is armed with two knives the little psychopath comes like crazy towards me brandishing his knives before he reaches me, he throws one of the knives at me as he screams.
I easily hold the knife only for it to scatter in my hand, looking at the goblin he's holding two knives again he lunges towards me in a suicidal attack. My speed is far superior to the little goblin so it's not difficult for me to use my hands to break his arm and take his knife.
But again, the knife I stole from the goblin goes up in smoke, it seems I can't even steal my opponent's weapon I'm being forced to fight unarmed by the matrix and there isn't even a loophole in this rule. I easily finish off the goblin who is screaming in pain on the ground I think I ended up breaking a few more bones than just his arm.
Upon killing the goblin its body and weapons dissolve into smoke, and shortly thereafter I find myself surrounded by four small shadows. It seems that my test has been organized into rounds of attacks, I feel like an arena for gladiators. My enemies reveal themselves as four goblins with different weapons, knives, clubs and a spear.
Even though my speed is usually higher than that of goblins and their bodies are more fragile than a level one magic animal, it's still difficult to face four enemies at the same time and especially when they've dried you up. I use the art of movement of the wind element to suckle my speed and attack the goblin who is equipped with a knife I can easily overpower him as I have the advantage of range and speed.
By crushing your neck and arm I throw your knife at the goblin on my right, I do this to try the rules of the matrix I didn't touch the knife I broke it and used the goblin's arm as an intermediary to throw the knife that breaks up in the air before reaching the goblin who is running towards me with his spear pointed at me.
The matrix is really strict in its rules because even when I throw the goblin's body like a weapon it falls apart in midair before hitting the other goblin's spear. With my tests finished I don't even have a clue how to get around the matrix rule so I use the Flaming Fist art moves without invoking my fire element I just use her moves to pulp my elemental energy and aura.
As I don't know how many rounds, I will have to endure to finish the test so I should keep my energy consumption to a minimum. I kill goblins easily because of my reach advantage their small body greatly limits their movement so I easily break their bones with my fists and kicks.
I go through a few more rounds where I have to face a larger number of little goblins the numbers of goblins in each round were eight, twelve and at the end fifteen. After the last round I face a different enemy from the fog comes out a different goblin he is twice the size of the previous one and carries a superior quality sword than the rusty weapons of the small goblins.
I believe my enemy must be an elite goblin or some sort of evolution of a goblin as a hobgoblin I believe my new enemy is still a goblin because he doesn't even have a hair and as far as I know a hobgoblin usually has hair and they have a more developed structure than goblins.
My opponent's speed is better than the goblins from last round, but it's still lower than mine when I'm using my wind element to propel me. As I hit his glass with my fist, I realize he's not just bigger than his body and much tougher than a normal goblin.
His physique shouldn't be inferior to a level one wolf, I had to resort to kicking the goblin in the groin after I dodged his attack and retaliated by hitting his back knocking him to the ground and then killing him by stepping on his neck several times. Killing this elite goblin is way more complicated than killing a normal one without drawing on my elemental energy and it takes several blows to break his bones.
In the next round I was attacked by three elite goblins, this time I had to use my Flaming Fists elemental art to crush the skulls of two goblins only using the elemental art I can finish them quickly the third one I killed without using my elemental energy.
I had to fight for hours each round I pass the difficulty increases, my elemental energy and aura are being used up quickly I had to face different types of enemies like kobolds, wolves, wild boars, a butterfly whose wings were sharp as blades I almost went followed by one and finally, I had to face the elite version of the kobolds.
After the twelfth round the formation of my enemies became diverse had goblins with wolves then came kobolds with goblins, but luckily the number of enemies in the rounds after the tenth was not as high as fifteen the highest number, I faced from enemies strongest was six. If I had had to face more than ten elite monsters mixed with level one magical animals, I think I would have been seriously injured or even killed.
I was really lucky to have bought a decreasing maturity, because if it weren't for the quality of the gauntlets, I wouldn't have been able to fight so long without your protection my hands would have broken when facing so many elite monsters of yours. I only accumulated superficial wounds during the test so I only lost a little blood, but my body is already completely sore.
But after the last round I went through I had a five-minute break; I was surprised that my test still isn't over even after I've suffered so much.
More unfortunately my test is still far from over, after the five-minute break my environment changed drastically the fog that surrounded me started to advance and engulf the entire arena, it didn't take long for me to be unable to see my enemies.
This matrix is really trying to kill me, the fog is blocking my vision completely, so I can only rely on my other senses as hearing which by the way is working fine as I can hear my enemy's footsteps.
My luck is that I'm only hearing the sound of a single enemy and from the sound of the sound I believe it's a normal goblin. I use my wind element to create a breeze around my body, with my current amount of energy I can't hold that for long so I waited until I heard the goblin's footsteps very close to me before creating this airflow.
The little goblin swinging his club tries to hit me in the back. I intercept his attack and pull him towards me and kill him easily only to hear two sets of footsteps coming from my front and behind my back. I feel like I'll have to survive a few more rounds only now my vision is blocked.
It didn't take long for me to get used to it I had to spend ten rounds but for my luck I didn't hear an elite monster or magic animal attacking me I only had to face weak monsters, but even so I ended up receiving several injuries even with my body reinforced from aura I still suffered a lot from the stabs and stabs of the goblins.
By the end of the tenth round, I had cracked some bones and been stabbed six times I was lucky the goblins weapons were small and not sharp, but I'm still bleeding a lot and my body is at its limit so when the tenth round in the fog it was over, I was very happy seeing the fog receding and showing the way out to min.
I walked with a limp as one of the goblins pierced my calf with a spear in the eighth round and I was bleeding out, of the matrix only to feel my body weight suddenly increase. Looking at my body I realized I was loading my guns again this should be good news, but the added weight now just makes it harder for me to get out of the matrix.
It took me a little longer to finally crawl out of the matrix and drop to my knees only to be held up by one of the institute's nurses.
