Chapter 95 - chapter

Yamada felt a searing and excruciating agony spawning from his head. It felt like his mind was splitting apart, unable to hold onto a single thought, memory or sensation. "Are you sure he's going to wake up?" Ul'lanna asked. Her voice was echoing in his mind, bouncing and coming from at least eight different directions. "How should I know?" Jacara asked. His voice also echoed. "Can we seriously trust that guy?" She whispered. "Look, if he wanted us dead, we'd be dead." "Yes, but how many people do you know, could do what he did. Let alone an Islander?" "Well before him, just one, and he's currently unconscious in front of us." 'I can hear you two...why are your voices doing that?' "Well, why do you think he helped us?" "I don't know. Maybe some solidarity thing amongst Islanders? Related maybe? Ask Yamada if he wakes up." 'Where am I? What's happening? Why can't you two hear me?' "I don't like this. I think we should take our chances and raid a war band for horses." "What if we run into another one of those asshole princes?" "You're the only asshole prince here!" "Are you still mad, that I didn't make you that tenth cup of shaved ice?" "Yes!"

"Enough." A deep guttural voice commanded. "Is he awake yet." "No sir." Jacara said. 'No sir? Who's there? What's happening!?' He felt a rough and scaly hand over his heart. "Is he going to be okay?" Ul'lanna asked. "Yes, his heart is still beating...miraculously. Can't say I've seen many things capable of surviving injuries like that." "Yeah, he has habit of being a little bit un-killable." Jacara said. "Sounds like he has a habit of dying." "That too." "Tsk...Of course Gwyneth wouldn't train him to control his emotion." 'How does he I know was trained by Gwyneth?' "Wait, how do you know, he was trained by Gwyneth?" Jacara asked. "Blisters and callous on his toes. Comes from doing her dances."

"How do you know it's from her dances? Maybe Yamada is a bit fruity, and likes to dance?" 'I'm going to punch you, once I can move.' "And you know that how...?" Ul'lanna asked concerned. "Because I'm the one who taught her." Yamada sat up inside a small little wooden cot, with Jacara and Ul'lanna by his side, wearing nothing but a blanket. "WHAT!?" He yelled. Jacara and Ul'lanna fell back terrified. A tall lean Islander stood before him, wearing loose flowing rags. "Good, you're finally awake." He said walking away. "HEY!" Yamada shouted, summoning his armour. "Who are you!?" "Yamada! Calm down, he saved our lives." Ul'lanna said. "Don't recognise me?" "Why would I?" "I guess, you were only a baby when I last saw you." Jacara and Ul'lanna slowly backed away from Yamada, growing in size. "Calm yourself boy. I will not have you destroy my home." "Give me one good reason, why I shouldn't...Grandfather." "Told you there were related." Jacara added.

"Because I saved your life, and your friends. In case you weren't aware, I pulled you out of the rubble of Kumo falling on top of you." "Why weren't you there to save her?" "Who?" "Mum." He growled. "Because I wasn't there." He said coldly. "I had assumed, that I was the last of my name, but it seems my grandson takes after his stupid and weak father." Yamada roared lunging in. Hakai threw a quick jab, releasing a Magenta flash. Yamada's entire armour shattered into dust, and he stood there speechless and frozen. Ul'lanna and Jacara watched with bulging eyes. "There's at least one thing you got from your mother. Her rage and fire." Yamada gnashed his teeth throwing another punch. Hakai quickly bobbed under it, tripping Yamada, and pinned him to the ground, holding his wrist behind his back.

"Holy shit..." Jacara whispered. "You still attack an opponent, you cannot beat. More like your mother than you realize." "You should have been there to protect her!" He grunted, trying to throw him off. "And what were those fat so called guardians doing? That they couldn't deal with some pathetic Elves. No offence meant to you." He said glancing back to Ul'lanna. "None taken..." "Begron attacked! He ripped her in half." "Is that so..." He released Yamada. "I didn't think little Beggy, would be so cruel." "Beggy?" Ul'lanna said stunned. "I guess the bad at nicknames thing runs in the family." Jacara said. "How do you know him?" "I use to spar him. Little guy always did show talent." Yamada roared lunging in. He was knocked through the ground with a quick slap that released a Magenta flash. "Down boy. Screaming will not change anything."

"I'll have dinner ready soon. Make sure he's not in such a feral state, when he wakes up." They nodded terrified, as Yamada twitched through the floorboards. As Hakai left, Ul'lanna and Jacara hesitantly crawled over to Yamada. "Are you alive?" He let out a low incomprehensible groan. "Close enough." Yamada awoke a few hours later with a ringing sensation in his head, and the same head splitting pain. He was pinned between Ul'lanna and Jacara, both them propping him up, around a raging camp fire. "Hey! Look who's awake and not going to do anything stupid. For once in his fucking life!" Jacara said through his teeth. "Yep! And will stay seated and enjoy this lovely meal." Ul'lanna said trembling. Hakai sat across from them wearing a scowl, and with a freshly beheaded Dragon behind him.. The blood still continued to drip from its neck, with frayed muscle fibres.

He tossed Yamada it's gigantic throbbing heart. "Eat it." "Why?" "Because your lovely grandfather said so." Ul'lanna said forcing a smile. "And he worked so hard, to rip that things head off, with his bare hands." Jacara added, gesturing for Yamada to eat the heart. "I appreciate the nice words, but don't lie in my face." Ul'lanna and Jacara felt a cold shiver run down their spines, and quickly scurried behind Yamada. He chuckled. "Do you seriously think this weakling could stop me from killing you two?" "Touch them and-" "And you'll what? Kill me?" He scoffed and snickered. "That is a right for only the strong." Yamada's eyes bulged. He quickly transformed into the Serpent Knight devouring the giant heart in one gulp. "What an interesting Draken form." Ul'lanna and Jacara were blown back by the explosion of Arcane energy.

He roared and lunged in trying to devour Hakai. He caught Yamada's fangs, and begun inspecting the inside of his snout. "No serrations on your teeth. Or extra teeth lining down your throat." He threw Yamada aside. "So what's the purpose of the long neck?" "Did he just catch Yamada?" Ul'lanna asked. "I think we just accept he can do anything at this point!" Jacara snapped. Yamada reeled back, unleashing a raging geyser of water from his breath. Hakai appeared in front of the two of them within a blink of an eye. "Does he always get this angry over a few words?" "Sometimes less." Jacara added. "Good to know." Yamada stomped over lunging in. "You'll never kill me in that state." Yamada reverted back, throwing a barrage of feral attacks. The two watched as Yamada moved faster than ever before, but was still unable to land an attack.

Hakai caught his fists. "WHY DID YOU SAY THOSE WORDS!?" "You'll have to be more specific." He said tossing Yamada aside. "Before!" Hakai rolled his eyes, letting out a sigh. "Do you have any idea, how little that narrows it down?" "The right to kill you is reserved for the strong! Begron said the same thing, right before he knocked me out." "I guess I rubbed off on him a little, as his master." Yamada leapt in getting countered by a swift knee to the gut. He fell down retching and gasping for air. "Your anger is misguided. Osore's death is not your fault." "YES IT IS!" Yamada screamed with tears streaming down his face. He slammed the ground, forcing himself up. "SHE TOLD ME TO RUN AND I DIDN'T! If I wasn't there...If I didn't go looking for her. She would have kept running and lived. So I'm going to make it right!" "And how will you do that?" "I'll kill everything and everyone that helped killing her. Starting with Begron!" "By your logic, you'll have to kill yourself as well."

Jacara and Ul'lanna looked to Yamada clenching his fists. "Ah, I see. You already accept that. Is that why you were okay with becoming a Forsaken Knight?" "Yamada...is that true?" Ul'lanna asked. "Oi...you can't kill yourself. What about your family back home? What about Gwyneth?" "I don't care about any of that. I'm going to kill Begron, but not before I kill everything he holds dear." "There is no light in that dark path you have chosen." "And what? You care for me now?" "You think I don't care?" "If you did, you would have avenged us the day you heard about the attack! Where is the destruction!? That is your name isn't it!?" "I am burdened with a task greater than revenge. I have made a promise, and I will honour it." "Then leave me alone. I'm going to go kill Begron." "You're weaker than him. If you face him now, you'll die." "If I had Harbinger, so would you." Yamada snarled.

"Is that what you call that ridiculous sharp boulder?" "Yes, and it will be the last thing Begron sees." "If you are so confident in your abilities. Try them out on me. Begron was the only person to ever land an attack on me. Surely someone who could kill him, would be able to do better?" "Where is Harbinger?" "It's being used as my door stop." Yamada grunted walking off and returned with Harbinger. He took the Wrath stance. "Umm! Sir Ken! That's pure Deiridium." Jacara said. "I know, but that weapon in his hand is not a threat." "I know about a thousand people that would disagree." Yamada dashed in throwing a wide swing. Hakai released an Affinity strike. Harbinger shattered into a thousand pieces against his fist.

Yamada was frozen, trembling from the raw power that flowed through him. He dropped the remains of Harbinger onto the ground, his hands bloodied and flayed. "Like I said. Nothing but a ridiculous boulder with an edge on it. Now accept your weakness, and that you'll never be able to kill Begron." Yamada clenched his fists, blood spurting out. He took a deep breath, throwing a straight punch. "YAMADA DON'T!" Jacara called out. Hakai held his hand out to catch Yamada's strike. An Azure and Magenta light flashed through the mountainside. Hakai smirked at Yamada, with Yamada snarling at him. Both their hands had been completely destroyed and mangled, with blood dripping from their stumps. "Perhaps there's hope for you yet." Yamada reeled back to throw another strike. Hakai's hand grew back instantly, and he cracked Yamada across the face, knocking him unconscious. "Seems my grandson, isn't completely worthless. Get him inside." "He needs a Blessed. Those wounds are...." Ul'lanna trailed off, seeing Hakai heal him instantly. "Non-existent. Never mind."

They hurried Yamada inside, gently placing him on the bed. "Is everyone in his family fucking crazy!?" Jacara hissed. "Apparently!" "He just broke Harbinger like it was nothing. He trained Begron and Gwyneth!? What!?" "Now do you think we should leave!?" "Yes! A million fucking times yes!" "You two are free to leave. He stays." The two stiffened, going wide eyed, a cold shiver running down their spines. Jacara gulped. "Yes sir. We'll be leaving now." "Jacara, we're not leaving without him." "You tell the terrifying man that!" He snapped. "Good night sir. I'll be on my way." "Jacara!" Ul'lanna yelled. "Why do you want him to join you? Sounds like he has every reason to kill you, for what your kind did to my people and daughter." She cleared her throat, trembling and sweating profusely.

"I..He...We....We are friends...and we're gonna stick together..." Her words came out as squeaks. Hakai looked to Jacara. "Is this true? Is he somehow friends with an Elf?" He nodded. "Is Encara actually proud to have you as his son?" "Not in the slightest!" "And how did you two become...friends?" "I-" "She thought he was sexy, and they fucked, before she realized how insane he was." "JACARA!" "What!? Am I wrong?" "Is he wrong?" "Well...No! But I was getting to that!" She blushed. "And you're in love with her?" "Uh well! I wouldn't say-I would...uhh..." "Well you're definitely Encara's son. Even he was a little scaredy cat around Rin." "How do you know my mother?" "I knew her on Yamata. A very nice well spoken woman." "You can just call her a whore like everyone else." Hakai slapped the back of Jacara's head.

His head bounced off the ground like a rubber ball. He writhed and squirmed on the ground holding his head. "Do not call your mother that. Men and women of Yamata, take what they want, and do not care what others think of them. Do you like sex?" "Well...yes." "Has anyone called you a whore?" Ul'lanna raised her hand. "Did you stop trying to have it, because she said that?" "Well no..." "Would you stop?" "Of course not." "Then your mother was not a whore. She liked something, and didn't do it for free. That's called being smart." Jacara rubbed his head sulking at him. "Now, if you two want to leave. Leave. He stays, till I'm done with him." "We're not leaving him." "At least, until you tell us, what' you're going to do with him." Ul'lanna rolled her eyes at him. Hakai held his hand over Yamada. "To make sure that this never comes out." "Make sure what never comes out?" Jacara asked. An Arcane Gate branded Yamada.

Yamada's head split into eight pieces, and sprung to life, each head roaring wildly. Jacara and Ul'lanna quickly hugged, scurrying away and let out a blood curdling scream. Hakai lowered his hand, and Yamada returned to normal. He looked to the two of them cowering in the corner, and trembling. "Are you two going to stay?" "KEEP HIM!" Ul'lanna shouted. "WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT!?" "I didn't think the stories were true...but Yamada...Yamada is the monster that Begron saw." "I think the better question, is how the fuck you knew!?" Hakai summoned a pulsating set of violet draconic armour in an instant, and banished it away. "Because he's not the only Forsaken Knight. I will teach him to control that anger." "I don't want to say anything, but I don't think that's possible." Ul'lanna said. "She's right. He's whole life is being angry, hungry, and fighting. Only recently sex came into his brain."

"Do I have to thank you for that?" "I was his second! His first was Gwyneth!" The two saw a genuine expression of shock stretch across his face. "His first was with lil Mizu? HA! I have to give him credit for that." He smiled. "I hate to ask, how exactly do you intend to tame him?" "Like any other wild beast. I'll break his spirit first. Then rebuild him." "Still think we should stay?" "Nope! Yamada have fun with your grandpa. We'll meet you at Artaraxus!" They rushed to their feet. "Wait. Don't you two have something to do?" They looked at each other confused. "Kiss him goodbye?" Jacara winced. "No you idiot. Leave him instructions on how to find you two." "Oooooh. We should probably write him more than that." "Yeah, he'll need instructions on how to find Artaraxus." "Why would he need that? You follow the road, till you hit the desert, and go directly east." Jacara and Ul'lanna were silent. "He can't be that dumb in directions." The two broke out in a maniacal cackle, wiping their tears. "He's funny and scary. What a combination."
