Yamada awoke to the sound of a bone snapping. His eyes shot wide open, and he leapt to his feet, trying to take a fighting stance. Mythril chains between his legs went taught tripping him. He landed cracking his face on the ground. Yamada writhed on the ground holding his face, and muffling his scream. Sitting up he assessed his surroundings. Still in Hakai's hut, only with a pair of Mythril chains on his legs and hands. Stumbling out he found Hakai butchering the remains of the Dragon with his bare bands. He perked up hearing Yamada's chains jangling and jostling around. "You're awake." "What is this?" He snarled. "You were thrashing around in your sleep. Had to keep you still." "Take them off!" He ordered. "Can't the scary Forsaken Knight do it himself?" Hakai said with a smug grin. Yamada growled taking a seat and begun smashing the chains against the ground.
"Good grief, you don't really expect to break Mythril like that do you?" "Shut up! Where are Jacara and Ul'lanna?" "Already off to Artaraxus." "What!" Yamada leapt to his feet, quickly tripping on his chains. He landed with a solid thud the air leaving his lungs. "You have a brain right?" "I said shut up!" Yamada shouted flustered, going back to smashing the chains on a sharp rock. Hakai watched on in disbelief as his grandson relentless bashed the chain against the rock till it shattered into pieces. 'Okay, he'll stop trying that and-' His train of thought was cut down to pieces, as Yamada shambled over to a bigger rock, repeating the process again. He lurched forward in disbelief. "If the first rock didn't break the chains. Why would the bigger one?" "That's a stupid question. If something is too big to cut, you use something bigger to cut it. Small chain. Big rock." "That's...I..." Hakai was dumbfounded, before looking east. 'What did those two children leave me with?' He shook his head. 'It's fine, he'll change tactics eventually.'
Hakai watched on in complete shock and disbelief as Yamada continued long into the day, essentially chiselling the once large rock into gravel. Watching out the window of his hut, he watched as Yamada took a breath, noticing the rock no longer existed to bash his pristine chains on. He panned around, before beginning to hop towards another large rock. "No.....no....no...." Hakai said mortified as Yamada hopped in front of another large rock. "Please just rest against it. Kiss it. Make love to it. Just don't-" The sound of metal clanged on the rock. "That's it!" Hakai exclaimed throwing his hands into the air, and stomping out. He spun Yamada around and shattered the chains. "What is wrong with you!? If the first two rocks, didn't break the chains, why would the third?" He let out a frustrated grunt shaking his head. "You didn't think to try a different method?" He scolded.
Yamada gave him a smug smirk, rubbing his wrists. "I was trying another method. I annoyed you into breaking them for me." "That was not your plan to begin with." "Are you sure? Kapuna always did things for me, when she saw I struggled too long with it." Hakai lurched forward, a vein beginning to bulge in his forehead. Yamada gave Hakai a pat on the shoulder, and begun to scavenge for the remains of Harbinger. "What are you doing?" "Gathering my weapon." "You still intend to cling onto that ridiculous weapon?" "When Begron sees it. He'll know it means his death." "What's your plan with those fragments?" "I'm going to get it fixed." Hakai palmed the ground releasing a magenta flash. Yamada stumbled feeling the ground quake and shift. He watched as the fragments of Harbinger turned to dust.
Boiling with rage he spun back to Hakai. "WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM!? WHY WON'T YOU LET ME AVENGE HER!?" he roared lunging at him. Yamada's lunging strike was dodged and Hakai pinned him to the ground. Hakai sat on his back, locking Yamada's arm behind his back. "She wouldn't want this for you." "You wouldn't know what she wanted!" He roared summoning his armour. Yamada threw Hakai off slashing his arm off. Growling, he stopped in his Serpent Knight state, seeing Hakai grow his arm back instantly. "You're not normal." He scoffed at Yamada. "Looks like it runs in the family." "Not even Encara, would recover from an attack that fast." "Yes, yes. The King of Blessings and Curses. Famed for his Curse magic application to heal, and Blessings to fight. Creator of the Immortals. All meaningless titles." "And who are you then? The grandfather who let his daughter die?"
Yamada stumbled back watching Hakai summon his Forsaken Knight armour. Standing the same height as him as a Were-dragon. Made of black scales with magenta webbing and veins that spread through his large wings. "Hakai Ken. The Forsaken Knight of Curses." Yamada clenched his fists, ignoring his instincts to run from this threat, and snarled at him. "All that power and you still refuse to destroy Begron." "There are more important things than vengeance. The past does not need to define you." Hakai reverted back to normal holding his hand out. "You can be better than him. Use your strength and power to help those around you. Do you know why you are named Yamada?" Yamada shook his head, still ready to lunge at him. Hakai slowly approached him with his hand out. "Your mother broke a long tradition in our names, from the moment she laid eyes on you. Your mother was dread, I destruction, your great grandfather cataclysm. The list goes on."
"There are other ways to call me weak." "No. She called you Mountain, because from the moment you were born. She could see your strength and kindness." Hakai stood in front of Yamad with his hand out. "Like the mountains that protect the Tuskdrans, give shelter and refuge to anyone that seeks it. You are kind-" Yamada turned back to normal grabbing Hakai's hand. He smiled at Yamada warmly, who only gave him a twisted smirk, and tightly clasped his hand. "Thanks for coming closer!" Yamada pulled Hakai in, cracking his nose with a headbutt, and sent him flying with an Azure Flash. A cloud of blood filled the air. Yamada smirked suddenly feeling a searing pain in his left hand. He fell to his knees clutching his wrist, screaming at his mangled hand. Hakai stood up spitting out a few teeth as they grew back instantly. "Alright, fine. You want to be like that. I guess it's time you finally get spanked." He said standing up.
"You're years from mastering that technique." "Shut up." He grunted. Yamada forced himself to his feet, slowly walking off. "Where are you going?" "To Artaraxus. I'm going to kill Begron with or without Harbinger. Then I'm going to destroy that entire kingdom for daring to attack Gwyneth in her home." "That's going to be hard to do." "I don't need both hands to do that." "No, it's going to be hard to do that, because you're walking west right now." Yamada took a deep breath, letting out a long exasperated sigh. He spun around continuing to walk. "You really think, you're going to make it to Artaraxus like that?" "Don't think. I will." "You'll bleed out before the sun disappears." "So, long as I have Arcane Energy in me. I won't. Now leave me alone, and go back to being alone. I'm going to kill Begron." Hakai let out a sigh, before looking to the sky. "Sorry, Osore. I'm going to have to get a little rough with him."
In a blink Hakai appeared before Yamada, punching him into the ground. He shattered the earth beneath him. Yamada shot awake grabbing his head. His left hand was healed. 'He hit me. I know he did...I felt the pain, but...' Hakai squatted in front of him. "You done throwing a fit?" "What do you want from me!? Let me go and kill Begron!" "I won't let you leave. Until I fix the problem inside of you." "In case you forgot. There is no cure to being a Forsaken Knight." "Not that you idiot. That anger inside of you. You're using it as a weapon, and it's nothing more than a poison." Yamada leapt at him, being kicked into the sky. He felt his jaw deform and shatter for a second, before being healed. Hakai appeared behind underneath him, grabbing him by the leg and throwing him back into the ground.
Yamada crashed feeling his spine, ribs and skull turn to mush for a flash, before he sat up healed. "That anger of yours, is making you weak and predictable." "No it doesn't!" Yamada leapt up, being struck back down. Hakai rolled his eyes, watching Yamada stand back up. "Yes, because lunging straight at me, over and over again, isn't predictable." Yamada bounced back up ready to attack Hakai, and froze in place. "Changing it up are we?" "My anger doesn't make me weak. It's the whole reason that I'm here. When I was hungry, in pain, or tired, my anger kept me training. I controlled my Forsaken Knight turning because of my anger. I am strong because of my anger." "Yes it has made you stronger than most, but you are nothing more than a feral animal. If you want to kill Begron, you must fight him with a clear mind. Letting your emotions control you, will only lead to your defeat."
"I don't need your help. I have Gwyneth's teachings, and the Azure Flash. I just need one hit and I'll kill him." "What would make you accept my help?" "Why won't you avenge your people. Why won't you avenge your own daughter!?" Hakai pursed his lips nodding glumly. "I understand, but if you want that answer. You'll have to land three clean strikes on me and pass my test." Yamada threw a straight punch, being caught by Hakai. "As your grandfather, I'll take it easy on you." "I don't need your charity!" Yamada screamed throwing a jumping round house. He watched as his leg broke and shattered around Hakai's arm, and reformed as it was pushed away. A flash of searing pain raced through his mind. Yamada knelt down holding his shin. "Very well then pupil." "I didn't agree to be your damn student." "I know, but the weak don't have a right to complain do they?" Yamada snarled transforming. "Fine!" He roared. "Name your stupid test. I'll complete it and then kill you afterwards!" Hakai transformed as well to match him. "As I am a Curse. You must become Water, and I'll let you leave." The two charged each other, exchanging blows the entire mountainside rumbling and trembling, their roars echoing throughout like thunder.
