"Good morning!"
Mia greeted with a smile when her eyes met her parents. "Good morning, honey!" Camilla smiled as Theo grinned at his daughter. "I have something to request" the young woman spoke as she looked at her mother with a smile.
"What is it?" Theo raised his eyebrow, waiting for his daughter to continue. "I want to open the fashion shop" Mia's words made Theo choked on food. "Omg! Are you ok, dad?" Mia began to panic and handed the glass of water to her father.
"What do you mean with that? Didn't you say you hate to work?" Camilla questioned as she stared at her daughter who had changed into another complete different person. Mia blinked twice, her lips formed into an awkward smile.
"I said that?" she tilted her head and questioned back. Theo narrowed his eyes and furrowed his brows in confusion. Did someone possess his daughter's body? Why was she talking as if Mia Grace had left the chat? Was she playing around?
"You were the one who did not want to work and even stopped talking with everyone because we asked you to work" Camilla explained. The young woman gulped, fearing of getting exposed. "Yea that's right" Theo stepped into the conversation.
Mia stared at her parents with a stone face. So they were not treating her like a feather? Mia Grace was the one who did not want to work? Mia Grace was the one who was refusing to work? Then Mia's thoughts were the total opposite?
"Ahaha, I was so childish back then. But after staying at home and seeing you two working hard, I want to become a useful daughter. I really want to work now" the young woman shrugged, acting like a cute daughter in front of the parents.
"Awwn, look at my cutest daughter!"
Theo pouted and grabbed his daughter's hand. Camilla chuckled in satisfaction as she smiled at the sight of the father and daughter pair. "Well, you can just work at my company if you want" Theo spoke and released the young woman's hand.
"No! She is working at my company!" Camilla excitedly said, hoping for her daughter to choose her company. "No! She is working at my company! I will give her my position if she wants!" Theo shouted as the maids chuckled at his childish actions.
However, both Camilla and Theo's hopes disappeared into thin air when the young woman answered. "I am working on my own" Mia smiled as she took a bite of the salad. She thought her parents would not let her work but they let her.
"W-what? I thought you loved me, Mia!" Theo suddenly shouted, feeling offended. It made Camilla laughed out loud in amusement. "You sound so childish right now, you stupid. She is an adult, she can do whatever she wants"
Camilla chuckled at her husband as Theo furrowed his brows in displeasement. "You are right, she is an adult right now" Theo's gloomy face made the young woman smiled and shook her head. "Thank you for letting me work"
Mia grinned.
"It is fine, honey. I will show you the place where you can open your fashion shop tomorrow" Camilla winked at her daughter, telling that she would cancel her plans for tomorrow just for her daughter. "Wait! I am free tomorrow!!"
Theo shouted as he put down the cup of tea onto the table. "Didn't you say you have important meeting tomorrow?" Camilla raised her eyebrow and stared at her husband with a teasing smile. Mia only watched the pair bickering like a rat and cat.
They two really suited each other well. Camilla was like a cat, always finding a way to tease her husband while Theo looked like a rat, always competing with his wife like a child. "I have but I will cancel if it is for my dear daughter and my wife"
Theo's words made Camilla smiled. "What a childish man.." she shook her head and lowered her head with flushed face. Mia turned her head to the right side, feeling awkward with the couple in front of her. "Then go together with your mother, Mia"
Theo spoke as Mia nodded in understatement. "Let's finish the breakfast quickly" Camilla cleared her throat, brushing away her flushed face to the normal stone face. "I can see your reddened ears" Theo chuckled at his wife's cuteness.
Like that they continued the breakfast.
"Let's go!!"
Bailey shouted as the young woman stared at her in disbelief. "What the.. how? Wait, go where?" Mia furrowed her brows at the sight of Bailey smiling at her while holding the steering wheel. She just came into her house without announcing.
Maki's granddaughter came and told her that Bailey had arrived. Mia was dumbfounded when she heard that. She even ran down to the outside of the house with speed just to confirm that Maki's granddaughter was joking. But turned out it was the truth.
"To my house!" Bailey smiled as Mia blinked twice in confusion. "Why?" she questioned innocently. "To celebrate my birthday!!" Bailey yelled as people in the villa stared at her with furrowed eyebrows. "Your birthday?"
Mia frowned and tilted her head in confusion. "Yes, today is my birthday! So hop in!" Bailey shouted impatiently. "No no no! I haven't take a shower yet! You should have told me early!" Mia shook her head, disagreeing to follow Bailey.
"Shut your ass and hop in little girl! You can take a shower at my house as much as you want!" Bailey furrowed her brows, slowly losing her patience. "Shouldn't you be celebrating your birthday with your boyfriend?"
Mia asked as she stood under the bright sunlight, sweating a lot. "Listen Mia, you are testing my patience right now. Roman is at my house, waiting for you to celebrate my birthday together with us. So hop in!!" Bailey shouted.
"What about my dress?"
Mia spoke and stepped back, ready to run into the villa. "Do whatever you want! I will be waiting here for you then!" Bailey shouted and sighed, she knew that she was wrong to rush here without announcing her arrival.
But she thought her friend remembered her birthday! However, the young woman looked at her with confusion instead. "Come wait me in the living room!" Mia yelled and ran into the villa with speed, looked like she was running away from the leopard.
"Gosh! I should have asked her birthday from the start!" Mia furrowed her brows and went into the bathtub. Since she was not Mia Grace, she did not know the details about Bailey. "Where is the towel?!" the young woman shouted furiously.
Searching for the towel in the bathroom. "It is on the bed, Miss!" Maki's granddaughter shouted from the outside of the bathroom. She just ran into the room because of the young woman's shout. "Thanks!" Mia grinned as she stepped out of the bathroom.
"Is Bailey waiting in her car or living room?" Mia questioned as she dried her hair with the towel. "In the living room, Miss. She is using her phone and waiting for you" Maki's granddaughter said as Mia nodded in understatement.
"Sorry for making you wait for nearly nine years" Mia's voice interrupted Bailey who was using her phone with boredom. She turned around and chuckled at her friend's words. "Yea you took too much time to get ready" Bailey rolled her eyes, smiling like a fool.
"Let's go, birthday girl"
Mia grinned as they two walked out of the villa, directing to the car. "I will just go with Bailey, you can rest today" Mia spoke as Lorcan stood in front of her. He just came out to escort Mia but she was refusing. What could he do?
He could only nod and step back. "I understand, please take care and you can call me whenever you want" Lorcan spoke as Mia smiled. "Yes, I will" Bailey furrowed her brows and grabbed the young woman's arm tightly.
Not liking to see her friend being extra friendly with others. "Let's go" Bailey dragged her friend towards the car, leaving Lorcan at the place alone. "Is it really ok though? I mean about celebrating your birthday with me and your boyfriend together"
Mia questioned as Bailey started the engine, driving off from the villa. "Ofc! It is very fine! I can do whatever I want. How could I leave you alone and celebrate my birthday with Roman alone?" Bailey furrowed her brows.
"If it is ok with you two, then ok" Mia shrugged and looked out of the car window. She just did not want to step between the couple, but turned out her friend was the one who did not mind at all. Maybe Bailey would even choose friend over boyfriend.
"I want to buy something for you"
Mia spoke as she looked at her friend, asking for to drive to the shop where she could get birthday present. Bailey shook her head, disagreeing to take a present. "Nah, don't buy anything" she refused to do as her friend said.
"Hey! I want to! Just stop your car right there! I can get a great present for you there!" Mia spoke as she pointed at the clothes shop. "Listen, my friend. I really don't need present, just celebrate the birthday with me. That's all I want"
Bailey's words made the young woman sighed tiredly. "If you were me, will you just nod and refuse to buy a present for a friend?" Mia questioned and looked at her friend, making her friend agree with her. Bailey sighed, not knowing what to reply.
"Fine, do whatever you want" Bailey shook her head and parked the car in front of the shop which Mia pointed just a while ago. It was when Mia's lips curved up into a smile. "Thank you!" She shouted and went out of the car while Bailey followed her.
"What color do you like?" Mia questioned as she stepped into the shop with her friend. "I like every color. You can buy whatever you want" Bailey spoke and stared at the young woman who was displeased with her answer.
"Red or blue?"
Mia questioned again, not giving up on making her friend tell favorite color. "I like both" Bailey replied as her eyes fell onto the dress. The sight of Bailey staring at the dress made the young woman raised her eyebrow and smiled.
Mia quickly turned around and looked at the dress which caught Bailey's attention. "Please give me that dress! I will buy it!" Mia suddenly spoke, making Bailey furrowed her brows. "Wait you know, you can stop right here and just eat together with me"
She was telling her friend that it was fine even if she did not give present. "No! Please give me that" Mia smiled at the girl as the girl nodded in understatement. Bailey let out a sigh tiredly but she was feeling extremely happy in the inside.
Her face might show boredom but her heart was dancing with the joy. It was not the first time she had ever received the present from the young woman but this time it was different. The young woman was choosing the present carefully.
Not like other times. Normally, Mia would buy gifts for her. Such as perfumes or dresses without asking what color she liked. she would just buy the dress if it caught her attention. Without asking if Bailey liked it or not.
"Here! Happy Birthday, Bailey" Mia handed the bag to the young woman with a big smile on her face. Bailey accepted the bag while smiling in joy. "Thank you, Mia" Bailey murmured and smiled at the young woman. "Let's go!"
