It has been more than a week since Damien returned to the small fishing village where he lived. That means it has been more than a week since he confessed to his grandmother what he had done in the past years.
Since then, Brenda has been acting cold and distant toward him. She was not talking to him. She refuses to look at him or even share a space with him.
Damien could not blame her. After what he had done, it was a surprise that she was not yet pushing him away. That she was still letting him stay at her house. He knew that he deserved worse than that. Brenda could give him any form of punishment and he would willingly receive it.
But Damien knew Brenda wouldn't be mad for long. The fact that she still includes him in meals was proof of that.
