Kronos and Leeds glared at each other.
"What do you mean train and use?" Kronos asked aggressively. He slowly stood up from the bed.
Leeds followed his lead until they both stood facing each other. "He's the only child of Zeus alive, in order to beat Porphyrion we'll need him to be strong!" He roared.
"He only needs to land the finishing blow! We'll use him like we do the others, keep him back until Porphyrion is weakened to the point of death, then Sky will land the killing blow!" Kronos fired back.
At the mention of others Sky remembered Lucy, Matthew and the others held in the prison. "Why are there people held in a prison when there is a perfectly fine town on the surface?" Sky asked.
Leeds shifted to the side and glared at him. "Just because I want to train you doesn't mean I've taken a liking to you, you're only a tool to me and a tool doesn't need to know anything!" He growled.
"Those people are the ones that came late… isn't that right Leeds… or should I call you "The Tidecaller"?" Kronos had struck a nerve.
The face of Leeds contorted and morphed with anger as the liquid in the room began to churn as he slowly walked towards Kronos, their noses barely touching.
"Don't. Ever. Call Me..." He hissed in a hush voice as his voice failed him. He clenched his teeth trying to compose himself to no avail before turning around and leaving the room. The water settled immediately after creating an awkward air between Kronos and Sky.
Huuuuuuuuh…. Kronos relaxed after a few minutes and collapsed on the bed next to Sky.
"You know, he wasn't always like this… before, when Lily was still alive he was different, stronger, the closest one to becoming a hero out of the eleven demigods." Kronos started.
"Who are the eleven demigods?" Sky asked.
"Well, there are supposed to be twelve, but demigod is the title we give to the strongest child of a god that is alive." He answered, while raising an eyebrow. There was a brief silence before Kronos smiled, "I know you have more questions. Go ahead, I'll answer them all the best I can."
"When the Giants were attacking the gods, or when the other races were plotting to overthrow the gods, why didn't you titans help?" Sky asked.
Kronos scratched his head. "Coming out swinging are we? We titans have sworn never to get involved in the business of the gods, though it wasn't like we didn't try to quell the dissent or warn the gods, but they're as stubborn as they are prideful, not listening to a single thing until the end." Kronos explained, "But when we had no choice, we stepped in and protected the other races from the giants, but claiming Olympus back is something the gods and their kin must do, not us."
"If the gods are so powerful, why can't they just march to Olympus and take it like the giants did? And how did the giants beat the gods in the first place?" Sky asked, not being able to comprehend the defeat of the immortal beings.
Kronos quickly turned to face Sky. "No no no no," Kronos quickly said, "The gods themselves are strong, do not misunderstand that, but the source of their power is Olympus itself, more specifically the seats. The twelve giant siblings share a mother with the giants, Gaea and while their fathers may be different they still have half of the same blood, allowing them to claim the seats of power, weakening the gods thus leading to their demise through sheer numbers."
"But you're their father right? Wouldn't you want to help them and support them?" Sky asked, turning to Kronos whose eyes suddenly became cloudy.
"I lost that right after… some time ago… and since then… I have never been able to apologize nor make it up… as it stands now I have no right to call them my children, nor support them..." He gave a sad smile before standing up. "I think that's enough for today, Don should be waiting for you at the door, he'll take you to where you'll be sleeping tonight."
After nodding, Sky stood up and turned his head towards the apple that sat at his desk and smiled. "You really like apples don't you?" Sky said before finding his way to the stairs and leaving the room and building.
"Well, it was my first offering in years, can't just throw it away now can I?" Kronos whispered before going back to what he had been doing before being interrupted by Leeds.
He walked towards the window and placed his hand on it. Layers of dials and clocks appeared on the window as the ones in his eyes spun faster and faster. "We'll be meeting soon… brother..."
