The next day.
After Zane's daily routine, he went directly to the Market area and searched for Perry, the Handler. He found him quite easily conversing loudly with some merchants at the same place.
'He is as talkative as ever.'
When Perry saw him, his eyes lit up, and he urgently said goodbye to the merchants. Perry ran to him and said:
"Good grief! You are still alive! I have been looking for you for a long time. I thought you also died." Perry said in relief.
"I am alive and well," Zane said nonchalantly.
"Forgive me for it saying it like that. Lately, many of my customers have been dying. The talk of the town says a high noble came. Now, no thanks to him; my business is dying."
"Yes, I know it too well since we experience it first hand. In any way, I am looking for you because I want to sell some stuff."
When Perry heard it, he was with excitement, "Great! Tell me, how many healing potions are you selling? I received quite a good feedback from my clients, and they want more of it."
"I will be selling around fifty potions like the last time. More batches are coming, but I want you to disperse them slowly. I can give you more once you finish all of these."
When he heard the fifty, Peter almost got a heart attack. 'Where the heck do you get these potions?'
He stared at Zane curiously for a while before replying.
"Don't bother asking. Knowing where it came from can get you killed."
Perry nodded. So he smacked his shirt and boldly said with confidence, "I understand. Yes. I have a way to do it. Don't worry about it.'
"Great! I like your confidence."
"There is another item as well that I want you to sell. It's called Weed. It is a very unique drug."
Perry was perplexed, "Weed? What an odd name. What does it do?"
"Here, you can try it out." Zane handed him one roll of Weed and lit it up.
After a few inhalations, Perry started coughing at first. Shortly after, the euphoric feeling hit him.
"Ooooh, thiiss good. Reallly, really gooood. How many do you have of this? I can tell you already that this will be a hit." Perry was very excited. He knew that this would be a great hit in the Market. He couldn't wait but sell it.
"Slow down, champ. Take this. I have around 200 rolls of these in this box. I have more if you need it. Same condition as well with the potion. Furthermore, I don't want anyone knowing it was me."
"Trust in my skills. You can count on me on this!"
"Meanwhile, if you have the time, find me a house that I can buy. I want this location to be hidden. Especially for those prying eyes."
Zane saw Perry nod. After conversing with him for a while, they decided to meet a few days after. He then went straight to the Market to buy his materials.
...
After leaving Perry, he went from one shop to another, buying all kinds of plants and animal materials in bulk. Once his hands are full, he quietly goes to an alley where no one is there and stores it in his inventory.
Thankfully, the Market is quite large. Although it is very populated, there were some alleys where one can quickly disappear.
After the day ended, he was left with few points to spare.
...
A few days had passed.
Zane trained every day with the other Blood Warriors. Sadly, with his poor talent, his swordsmanship was not improving. He was left with one more skill point, and he wouldn't want to just add it to his swordsmanship right away.
Meanwhile, in terms of Alchemy, he created quite a few combination recipes due to newly bought herbs.
Intermediate Regenerative Potion, Basic Fire Resistance Potion, Basic Strengthening Potion, and Basic Agility Potion.
These potions that Zane created were quite potent for regular warriors. Only Awakened Warriors would be able to resist the effects of the potions due to their stronger constitution. Furthermore, these potions were limited and hard to produce. They cost a lot of money and time to make. Unfortunately, they couldn't be sold.
If others find out that Zane has these recipes, without a doubt, he will be captured and tortured till he gives out all of this information. Alchemists were relatively rare in the City of Capricia. Even in the whole Kingdom of Thousand Mountains, all Alchemists were well-known individuals and were tracked by the Nobles. They were used as precious commodities, especially when it came to war.
Meanwhile, there is one more recipe Zane was able to make. It was called 'Endurance potion.' The original use of the potion is to quickly recover the body's vigor within a short period of time. However, this potion uses quite an expensive plant called Purple Butea, which was very limited in the Market.
Due to these factors, Zane wanted to find cheaper plant alternatives. In an accident, he created a new variation of the endurance potion.
(Localized) Endurance Potion Recipe
Effect: Increases the blood flow of the male genitalia for a short amount of time. Side effect: Increase libido.
Zane doesn't know whether he would laugh or cry when he saw the effects of the potion. The description almost killed him.
Reluctantly he changed it to a more fitting name.
"Ding! (Localized) Endurance Potion Recipe was Renamed to Viagra"
'In any way, I can also release this in the Market in the near future
...
Back to his room, Zane was again exhausted for the day. Before he could lay down on his bed, he saw Cecilia staring at him.
"I Agree."
Previously, for the past few days, Cecilia did not talk to him. She just stayed in the room and quietly contemplated things. She had cried all that she needed to cry for.
Zane looked her directly in the eye. He can't see any form of anger, loss, or sadness. What he saw were calm and steady eyes. He knew that behind it lies a fierce determination.
"What do you want me to do?"
