Chapter 16 - Between memories and responsibility

As if suddenly struck by a wonderful idea, Linda took out the nearby pocket knife from her drawer and then made a small cut on her hand. Soon the blood started to drip from her cut. That's when she took away the bottle from which the baby was drinking and replaced it with her cut arm from which the blood dripped out freshly. Making sure that the bed sheet didn't get soaked with blood, she carefully placed her arm near the baby's arm and as if understanding his mother's clue, Liam started to suck on the wound and soon enough went back to sleep peacefully. Her eyes which had turned red, turned back to their normal blue color.
