Chapter 2

Hey, welcome back, last time on dragon ball z I had a panic attack, merged with a green blob of energy who I guess is here to help me by somebody else's instructions? Let's see what will happen next, yeah?

Soon as I was finished processing, I said "sorry about that, I needed to process everything. So do you have a name I can call you by any chance?"

[that is perfectly fine user, much has happened to you today. my designated name is,70k1, though if you wish you may grant me a nickname that is easier for you.] it said.

"ok, in that case may I call you Loki?"

[nickname designated as Loki. Saving to memory. Do you have any inquiries, user?]

"what uses do you have, if any?" I asked, checking outside to see if there was anything of note.

[I can assist the healing process, give you information on people, places, items, animals, and can assist in the training of skills with up to 75% efficiency. I can also answer your questions, to a certain extent]

I nod and say "so status scan, passive healing, and training mode effectively. Oh, quick question: does this use cellular division? And does it use up my lifespan? Also, are there any side effects to this besides pain? I'd rather check this before anything happens, just in case."

To which it replies [Negative, 'passive healing' doesn't use either cellular division or life force, side effects of 'passive healing' include: becoming more in tune with magic and surroundings than is normal, possibly becoming numb to pain, though this can be reversed if you wish, and 'status scan' can strain eyes and mind if used too much at once or for long periods. 'training mode' costs twice as much energy to train skills, though it results in double the rewards, and if your energy is emptied, you will pass out. repeated over-use can result in: coma, seizure, stroke, brain damage, crippling your body and/or energy, death, and insomnia. Repeated over-use is not recommended.]

"holy shit that's a lot of side effects. I feel like I'm watching a commercial for medication" I say with a chuckle. "Anyway, anything else I need to know before I hatch this egg?"

[I would recommend checking your status user, as it contains useful information and your current equipment, which can be useful when a fight breaks out. I would also recommend practicing your skills.]

"ok, thank you Loki. status"

after reading through my status scan I thought about everything that was written down, and thought up my strategy. Like it said, I've never been in a fist fight, let alone a fight to the death, so range is key. Oh fucking hell I'm going to have to get on the roof aren't I? "welp, this isn't going to be fun *sighs* ok so, how do I use practice mode?"

[think of training a skill, and it will activate as long as you want to activate training mode]

I nodded and began thinking of using training mode on spear mastery, to get used to it. Next thing I know I'm outside of my body as it draws my spear and begins practicing with it, almost incessantly. After awhile I began to feel tired (how?), and began to try to stop my body from training anymore and eventually succeeded by floating into it.

[your body aches from practicing the basics of spear combat, and from how much energy left you as you practiced. I'd recommend taking a break, user.]

"aching might be an understatement... anyway, how long was I training?"

[1 hour. and you gained 8 xp to spear mastery, which should at least help you fight the beasts that will come for your beasts eggshell.]

"..."

[yes, only 8 xp, however each xp is hard won, and will make a big difference in a fight to the death]

"well, I'm glad to hear that it'll at least be useful to me" I chuckled, and decided to take a bit of a nap under the bed (cover is good, I think) and hatch my friend tomorrow.
