Won sat in his room alone, staring aimlessly at the ceiling. Silently and quietly festering in the aimless distraught he suffers from.
Within his heart a war between fire and coldness infected him, the coldness of a demon and a warm blazing Humanity clashed and fought in his heart. Rationality, morality and responsibility tediously combated.
Won laughed as he held his hand over his eyes, "Master said the path of a cruel God is easy when you care about no one, when the bad things happen to your enemies, but a Cruel God is cruel to all men and women. He warned me a faint heart would never rise... Haha, I hate how much of a smartass he is. How can I traverse the path of a Demon with a warm, beating heart?"
A voice fluttered into his ear.
The invisible voice spoke...
Won smirked, "Yeah... Nothing else matters, only winning matters..."
Won stood up and laughed, yet his back was crooked and his eyes bloodshot.
...
Days passed and Won had visibly deteriorated. He had commanded the armies of Ito to actively attack Suzaku, and with his commands and leadership Suzaku was dealt heavy blow after heavy blow. Yet Won could be seen like a ghost lifelessly gazing upon everything.
Ozaris asked, "Master is there anything bothering you? You've not only been looking unwell, you cancelled your meetings with Princess Yuna, and you are even eating less and drinking more."
Won coughed, "Forget that. How did the hunt of the groups seeking to enter Ito? What about the conquering of Kaito Suzaku's main trade route? Also how are the negotiations with the sects going."
Ozaris looked bothered, but answered, "There were many armed forces entering our Empire through other neighboring Empires, also we found three trade organizations in Ito bringing in Suzaku soldiers. As Master had predicted the various merchant organizations have sold Ito out, as well as the neighboring Empires."
Won snorted, "It's obvious those Empires leaders and those fucking Merchants are all junkies thirsting after the drugs Suzaku makes, not to mention the pleasure they can get the Merchant organization's can distribute them and make a gigantic profit. The soldiers of the various Empires can also increase their military strength. They'd need to be idiots to forego that. Do as I've said to handle them for the time being, and for later on follow my orders. Let those bastards suffer."
Ozaris nodded, "Yes. We've sought explanations and renumerations from the various forces. The merchant organizations have readily paid up, but the Empires are being tough. As for Kaito the progress has been a bit slow. A lot of civilians are there and according to your past wishes we've held out any actual attacks, only a few threats. Yet Suzaku as if having been spurred has forcibly injected more civilians there."
Won said, "Go attack it, nevermind the civilians."
Ozaris asked, "Sir?"
Won snickered, "We've been kind enough, we've warned them plenty. It's not my fault, those bastards should have listened. Anyway what were we going to do? Take those of Suzaku into our Empire? They'd inflate the population and waste our resources, furthermore they'd forever be making small groups to take back their Empire. Just kill them they're a waste of resources."
Won's eyes flashed in a red glow.
Ozaris stopped. His eyes looked at Won. Frustration filled his eyes, yet he could only grunt and continue, "The negotiations with the sects have gone well. Thanks to Masters aid in the discussions they readily made themselves clear on their support. They are planning to come in a months time to train our recruits and will even pass some martial arts from sects they've defeated."
Won nodded, "Make sure they know their place. What about the men they are sending."
Ozaris said, "About 100 Immortal practitioner's. Mainly condensate stage and a few foundation stage."
Won frowned, "Those bastards. Only a hundred."
Won shook his head, "Whatever implement that other plan once those hundred arrive."
Ozaris nodded.
Won asked, "Is that all? Then leave. I want to be alone."
Ozaris said, "Master... If there's anything..."
Won stopped him, "There's nothing wrong. Just go."
...
Ozaris stood outside Won's door and closed his eyes.
"Master was fine only a few days ago, why is he being like this. He's merciless and vile, everything he despised. He just said to kill innocent Civilians when only a few days ago he said that the responsibility of the strong was to protect the weak... What happened and what can I do to help him."
...
Won jerked from his bed, the dense smell of alcohol present on him.
He held his chest where his heart beat. A frown appeared on his face. He opened the windows and said, "A walk might do me some good."
He fit on a red robe and took a gourd filled with wine and left.
...
He sipped gently from his gourd. He gazed upon the moonlight. His eyes twinkled and glowed.
As he was walking he caught sight of a woman.
Won dropped the gourd in his hand.
He mumbled wide eyed, "Yuna...
Yuna sat bathed in the moonlight. Her enchanting eyes gazing full of concern at Won.
A mysterious warm wind blew and dragged Won's hair back.
...
In Won's personal quarters.
Won asked, "Why have you come?"
Yuna said, "I was concerned and Ozaris was too."
Won said, "I'm fine. I was just busy... Can't you see a war is going on."
Yuna asked, "Are you sure that's all?"
Won snorted, "Of course. Why wouldn't I fell okay."
Yuna looked firmly at Won and said, "Because you blame yourself."
Won stared back fiercely.
He laughed, "What are you saying?"
Yuna explained, "9 Soldiers died to Suzaku. You blame yourself for their deaths."
Won's lips parted and closed again. He looked away and laughed, "I'm a Cruel God why would I care about the lives of some random men? I'm not so naive."
Yuna said, "You can lie to yourself all you want, but there's a difference between controlling the lives of your enemies and managing the lives of those under you. I don't believe you are so cold hearted that you would willingly put them into hell!"
Won snarled, "As if your father and the various ministers haven't done that! They use and abuse the men and women of this nation for their own greed. They fulfill themselves in their suffering and dependance! And it's not just then it's everyone! Every single human is a vile and unpleasant fellow who does things disregarding others! When you cheat you don't think of the cheated, you think of satisfying your twisted desires! That's because Humans are rotten! So why must I abide by this rueful morality? I am a Demon, a Evil and Cruel God who only cares about winning. Even if thousands die it dosent inconvenience me."
Yuna exclaimed, "Then what about the Won who told me that wished for a world where children Shouldn't ever be born from flames of Wrath? Did you not tell me this? Simply because you have power it dosen't mean you should insult, dismiss or be rude to another person for no reason. Being arrogant dosent mean everyone should crawl at your heels or that you should never be questioned, it means to bare yourself with a steady and straight back. If you think because you have power you have to right to trance upon another persons pride you are a fool, a degenerate. Bare yourself in a certain manner that shows strength and courage, but not vileness. Just because you are rich dosent mean you have the right to buy lives. Maybe it's wrong for me to say this, I'm not too good of a person, but I feel I bare myself in a manner I don't look in hate towards."
Won snorted, "Those lines are of me trying to court you, think nothing of it!"
Yuna shouted, "I believe none of that! I know you know the truth behind your words! So I ask you Won, can you truly look at who you have recently developed and not hate? Can you stand who you are now? Willingly sending an order to kill innocent children, men and women?"
Won bit his teeth.
He collapsed to the ground.
He said, "I cannot..."
Yuna said, "Then stop this. This isn't living, what you are doing is a self destructive act in which to punish yourself. Tell me what you are feeling! Allow me to comfort and ease you, you damnable bastard! I've told you I would be your shoulder, yet why must you bare all of this alone! When you have me, Ozaris, and everyone else around you, why do you close yourself out?"
Won turned to Yuna and said, "I know I'm the villain, the crooked one. Yet if I can stop this and if I can protect them, and if I don't... Then I'm just the same as those who didn't protect me, with hollow and lifeless words, with no character or spine. I would be trash. I could have saved people if I didn't live my life indifferently, it's not like I may have, It's that I could have. But my selfishness, my desire, it came before that! I told myself that having Desire is normal, it's human nature, but to disregard other people and blatantly do as I wish with no concern or conciousness for others! Then I am no more than scum, scum that should have died then. Yet here I am with people dead because of my desire to conquer! I mindlessly tossed and used innocent life, I did the same ruthless and horrible things others have done to me to others!"
Won looked over tears falling down his face, "I act like I know everything, That I am sane, but I am not! I'm scared and weak. I am still the weak child I was back then! Even after all this time, even after everything I am weak! I am weak!"
Won fell to the ground and slammed his fists down. Continuously, again and again, until they bled.
Yuna felt her heart break as she saw Won grit his teeth so hard, and wail so painfully, as she saw his tears and his sadness she couldn't help lose her heart.
She walked over to him and hugged him silently.
Not saying anything, she let him sob in her arms for hours.
She embraced him...
She pat Won's back.
"I don't have an answer to ease you, nor do I think you need easement. Instead I'll tell you something Simple. If you don't like something instead of complaining about it, try to fix it. That's how you become a man. You little man child. If you desire to be better then fulfill that desire. There's no answer or solution in front of you, so do what comforts your heart the most. Have a life that's full of sweet and warm nights, have a life where your heart isn't scarred."
Won gazed up, his eyes peeking out from the darkness bubbling inside.
"That..."
Yuna smacked Won slightly over his head and said, "Life isn't easy and it won't work itself out for you. So you have to work hard at it, and it's fine to stumble and fall. I'll carry you and make up the steps you can't take."
Won's eyes sparkled.
Won moved forward and laid his lips on Yuna's.
Her eyes widened, but she continued the deep kiss.
The heart that bear's the pain of loneliness, longs for the warmth of love.
